We all scream for Baskin Robbins 31-cent scoop night
I scream, you scream, we all scream for … you get the idea, and it’s Baskin Robbins 31-cent scoop night at participating Baskin Robbins locations. On April 28, you can get a scoop of any of the 31 flavors for 31 cents, from 5 p.m. to 10 pm. It isn’t just to get people in the store, Baskin Robbins is looking to donate a whole bunch of fast cash to a worthy cause. So if you can get to a participating location for Baskin Robbins 31-cent scoop night, not only are you getting an ice cream fix, you’re doing your part for charity.
Baskin Robbins 31 cent scoop night to benefit charity
Baskin Robbins 31-cent scoop nights proceeds are going to a noble cause. That’s part of why Baskin Robbins is willing to sell scoops of delicious confectionery products for so cheap. The parent organization of Baskin Robbins, Dunkin’ Brands (Baskin Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts – the two food most important food groups) is donating $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Participating locations will be taking donations to this noble cause as well as selling 31-cent scoops. (I believe some cookie dough is in my immediate future.)
National Fallen Firefighters Foundation
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation was created by Congress to assist comrades and families of firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty. The foundation provides assistance and even scholarships to the spouses, children, and stepchildren of those who bravely gave their all to keep us safe from danger. The foundation also works to improve safety standards for all in the firefighting profession, and maintains a memorial site at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This is a worthy cause, so if you were thinking of getting ice cream anyway (admit it), then indulge your sweet tooth for cheap and help do something nice for people who deserve it.
So where to go?
Not all locations will be participating, but luckily, the Baskin Robbins website has a Baskin Robbins store locator, should there be confusion on where to go. However, that doesn’t mean you can get a year’s supply for less than the average cash advance – servings are limited to 3 2.5-oz scoops per person, while supplies last.
