How I Handled My Credit Repair and Stepped into the Real World

This is the story of how my financial illiteracy put me in need of credit repair.

Growing up, I did not learn sound financial practices.Credit cards

Now, you have to understand that my sister I were spoiled rotten while growing up. Both of our parents being wealthy practitioners in the legal field, so we had everything we ever needed or wanted. Unfortunately, it came at the price of not learning sound financial practices.

After high school, I left for university life in Kirksville, Missouri. I felt like a real grown up, able to make my own decisions without having my parents there to rain on my parade. I moved into a dorm with a now close friend, Sarah. Surely, we a lot in common; she likes the same light rock music I listen to, works hard to be physically fit, and loves to shop.

Credit cards were fun!

Despite their daughters’ expensive habit, Sarah’s parents had given her one of their credit cards for her needs and supplies. Upon seeing the ease of which Sarah bought things with the card, I took it upon myself to apply for my own, and received it in the mail about a week later. Thus, it became an event which called for an immediate trip to the mall, where I bought an expensive meal and caught up on the latest fashion trends.

I continued my foolish ways, spending carelessly until I found out my card was maxed out. I had no money and a payment was soon to be due. Stupidly, I ignored the payments which, eventually, went to collections.

Another credit card to pay the first.  Not so fun anymore.

I took out another credit card, but I limited my spending and vowed to be more responsible. Still, I needed to make a payment on the first credit card, but was not sure how exactly I was going to pull it off. I did have an option to go running to Mom and Dad and beg them for some money, but my pride quickly sent that idea packing. Looking around my dorm, I noticed that I didn’t really need most of the things I had purchased; they were all unnecessary items that were just taking up extra room.

I needed help.

I had to find a way to make payments so I got a job.  After a few months of work, I learned that I could take out a small loan and repay the credit card balance , then pay off the loan on my next paycheck. While searching all over online, I found a particular Web site that caught my attention, reading, “Credit Repair-no credit check.” I read over what the website had to say, then called the number it offered like a beacon of hope. I spoke to a friendly representative and they were able to get me the cash I needed with no credit check. They still stood by me afterward to guide me with tips and guidelines for smart spending. Thus, my credit repair came sooner than I thought.

Now, I’m a smarter woman who has made budgeting, discretionary spending and other fiscally-smart practices a part of my everyday life. Additionally, I advise anyone who is in need of credit repair or cash until payday, to visit personalmoneystore.com.
