No seance was involved

A few months ago, Barack Obama made an embarrassing comment about the widow Nancy Reagan and seances. See the video at the end of this article for his exact words. However, since then the president has apologized for having offended. Now, Nancy Reagan will come to the White House to meet with the current First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Rachel Swarns blogs for the New York Times that Mrs. Obama and Reagan will meet for the first time over lunch at the White House. It should be a delightful affair.

Commemorating Dutch’s 100th birthday

Nancy Reagan is in Washington D.C. for “the unveiling of a statue in the Capitol of her husband, President Ronald Reagan,” writes Swarns. The seven-foot statue is being placed in commemoration of Ronald “Dutch” Reagan’s 100th birthday. Apparently changes needed to be made to the original casting (per Nancy’s instructions), but no easy payday loan or payday loans from direct lender were needed to fund the changes.

Michelle Obama and Mrs. Reagan have spoken during the transition period for President Obama, and Mrs. Obama reportedly had a few questions for the former First Lady regarding life in the great big White House.

In a Vanity Fair interview, Nancy admitted that she has encouraged Mrs. Obama to have lots of state dinners. Apparently, the Reagans enjoyed playing host for heads of state and other important officials during their years in Washington, and Nancy hopes that Michelle can enjoy similar success during her husband’s time in office.

A maven for science

Nancy Reagan also told the magazine that President Obama missed a “golden opportunity” when he didn’t invite her to the ceremony at which he announced his decision to reverse former President George W. Bush’s policy on embryonic-stem-cell-research. Apparently the former Hollywood star is more forward-thinking than the Bush family progeny. Considering how her husband suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease, she would know just how important such research can be toward improving the quality of life of millions.

“I would have gone, and you know I don’t like to travel,” Mrs. Reagan said. “Politically it would have been a good thing for him to do. Oh well, nobody’s perfect. He called and thanked me for working on it. But he could have gotten more mileage out of it.”

Michelle: gracious, friendly

Michelle Obama is looking to make a good impression during her stay in the White House. According to Swarns, she had already consulted with former first ladies Hillary Clinton and Rosalynn Carter before moving in, and she even had lunch with Mrs. Carter and daughter Amy.

The story about Wanda Sykes and her controversial statements has been getting more buzz lately than Personal Money Store’s cash advance programs. Who would have thought that a comedian, doing what they’re paid to do, would spark so much debate?

The Story

Wanda Sykes was invited to be the mistress of ceremonies for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner held on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Apparently, there were some statements made about Rush Limbaugh.

This was the main statement that roused White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs into stating that there are a lot of topics that are better left for serious reflection rather than comedy.

Ms. Sykes controversial remarks:

“He said he wants the country to fail…” “To me that’s treason. He’s not saying anything different than what Osama Bin Laden is saying. You might want to look into this, sir, because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight…”

After jokingly asking the crowd if the statement was too much, she added, “Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a good waterboarding, that’s what he needs.”

Though the President laughed at Ms. Sykes’ jokes, on Monday, May 11, Mr. Gibbs set out to remove Barack Obama from any ties to the jokes and said he didn’t think there is any doubt that 9/11 is one of the topics better left for serious reflection.

My Two Cents

Some people have been calling Wanda Sykes a crazed liberal and some folks have lashed out at Rush Limbaugh, calling him weak, as if he initiated the backlash against Ms. Sykes. Though Wanda had very strong opinions of Mr. Limbaugh (after all she said she wants his kidneys to fail) he refused to make any public statements directed to or about Sykes and her comments. I believe that’s the best decision for him to make. Just like with a cash advance, if he isn’t fully sure of what he’s getting into, he should take some time and evaluate the entire situation before taking action.

A Joke’s a Joke

I’ve heard plenty of jokes in reference to the Pearl Harbor attack, the bombing of Hiroshima, and plenty of other devastating events. I’ve seen footage of politicians telling jokes about Hurricane Katrina, and I could have sent a letter to the White House or posted a seething blog post, but at the end of the day, it’s a joke. Granted, some individual’s idea of funny could be ruthlessly insulting to others (Wanda Sykes saying she hopes Mr. Limbaugh’s kidneys fail), however it still is another person’s opinion.

Personally, I found the entire video of Wanda Sykes’ comedy routine funny and refreshing as an online cash advance. What people don’t realize is the message behind Sykes’ comedic rant: if Mr. Limbaugh wants our country to fail, why should we care for him? We went to war because someone or a group of individuals wanted the United States to fail, so that’s what Ms. Sykes did: went to war! Do I agree with her statements? No. Do I understand them? Absolutely.

How do you feel about the situation? Do you think her statements were too out of line? Leave a comment expressing your feelings.

White House says predictions were accurate

White House administrators are saying that the estimates for how many jobs the economic stimulus plan will create or save are right on target. Officials project the package will save about 3.5 million jobs.

Estimates when the package was announced said the $787 billion stimulus package would save or create between 3 million and 4 million jobs.

Yes, there’s a catch

While officials predict that 3.5 million jobs will be saved or created by the stimulus package, they agree that it’s possible the unemployment rate will still get higher at the same time.

Job loss may be so steep that the number of jobs lost will exceed the number of jobs created and saved. Thus, the unemployment rate will be lower than it would otherwise, but it could still climb higher than the current 8.9 percent national unemployment rate.

Time frame

The projection regarding number of jobs saved or created applies through the end of 2010. So don’t go out and get cash advance loans thinking you’ll get another job before it’s time to pay it back. This is going to take a while.

The report says that 1.5 million jobs will be created or saved by the end of this year.

Possible further action

According to a report by Reuters:

The official said the administration was monitoring closely the results of the $787 billion spending and tax-cut package to determine whether additional actions are needed as “mid-term” economic forecasts are prepared by the White House.

The official who spoke to Reuters, who was not authorized to speak publicly on the stimulus program, said further action likely won’t be needed, but it will be taken if necessary:

“At this point we think that we’ve taken the right steps and (the plan) is going to do what it needs to do for the American people, but the president always said we’ll do what it takes. So we will very much be watching,” said the official.

Current unemployment

According to Reuters:

On Friday, the Labor Department said U.S. employers shed 539,000 jobs in April, pushing up the unemployment rate to 8.9 percent, the highest since September 1983.

Currently, Michigan has the highest unemployment rate in the United States, followed by Oregon. Both states have unemployment rates higher than 12 percent.

As of March, the United States economy had already shed 4.4 million jobs. A Special Report from CNN Money reminds us that the unemployment rate only counts those who are filing for unemployment benefits.

Almost one out of six members of the labor force are either unemployed, working part-time when they would prefer to work full-time, or are out of work and have become so discouraged that they did not look for work and thus not counted in the unemployed total. That’s the highest reading in that measure that goes back to 1994, says CNN.

Pushing for comprehensive care

President Barack Obama and a group of several different types of health care providers have joined forces and promised to stem the increase in spending on health care in the United States.

Both the health industry leaders and the White House administration intend for this move to bring the country closer to having comprehensive health care for everyone in the United States.

A common goal

Obama ultimately strives to make health care more readily available and affordable for Americans. Hospital representatives, doctors, insurance companies and drug makers were all present at the announcement made at the White House today.

These health-care industry representatives pledged to sharply reduce the growth the country has seen over the years in spending on health care. Perhaps now fewer Americans will have to weigh the options of whether to get personal loans to cover health care costs or skip preventative procedures.

Slow going

The New York Times explains that this move does not mean the health-care industry has promised to reduce costs:

The pledge, if kept, would not reduce overall health spending but merely slow its growth. Still, White House officials said the plan could save $2,500 a year for a family of four in the fifth year, and a total of $2 trillion for the country over 10 years.

The hope is to make a move to comprehensive health insurance less expensive to the federal government.

Changing times

An article in the New York Times compares today’s announcement with Bill Clinton’s efforts to reform health care during his presidency in the ’90s:

The pledge from some of the very groups that helped block President Bill Clinton’s efforts at health-care overhaul in 1993-94 — crippling any chance of such change for years — appeared to bolster Mr. Obama’s hopes. … The seeming inevitability of some sort of major overhaul appears to be driving the hospitals, insurers and drug makers to seek a larger role than they had in the ’90s in shaping the legislation.

Obama said the change is due to the widespread recognition that more and more United States citizens every day are in need of aid with the cost of health care. Also, so many other developed countries have universal health care, and that has made the system more appealing and palatable to those who once opposed health care reform.

Provider pledge

The written pledge from six industry leaders reads:

“We will do our part to achieve your administration’s goal of decreasing by 1.5 percentage points the annual health care spending growth rate, saving $2 trillion or more. This represents more than a 20 percent reduction in the projected rate of growth.”

You might have recently read the news about the White House administration’s new Foreclosure Prevention Plan. The government has written new policies that make getting the terms of your mortgage changed easier than ever.

First, however, you must make sure you are eligible to take part in the program.

Loan Modification program

The federal Foreclosure Prevention Plan has two parts: Loan Modification and Refinancing. For this article, we will address only the Loan Modification part.

If you are struggling to make payments on your mortgage but haven’t actually missed any payments, check out Part 2 of this series, which will address the government’s Refinancing program.

Foreclosure danger

The Loan Modification portion of the program is geared specifically toward people who are facing danger of losing their homes. If you took out personal loans to pay for your home and you have missed three payments or more, you could be eligible.

Keep your house

If you have already been served a foreclosure notice, it might not be too late. You can still apply for the program. If you go through a qualified, legitimate loan modification company it will speed up the process. And if you pick the right company you won’t have to pay until your monthly mortgage payments have already been lowered.

Stay away from foreclosure

Don't get frustrated. Get help.

If you have missed three mortgage payments or more, I recommend taking advantage of this program immediately. Get professional help from a loan modification expert, and team up with that expert and your bank to get your payments lowered. Part 3 in this series explains how it works.

Visit this page and fill out the form to be put in touch with a loan modification expert.

Use government’s resources

If you are still questioning whether you are eligible for the federal Loan Modification program, you can go to the government web site makinghomeaffordable.gov. The site supplies questionnaires that will help you find out whether you are eligible.

“Here’s a prescription for a Payday Loan,” said the doctor, dashing off his signature with a flourish. He ripped the page out of the pad and handed it to me. “Go to PersonalMoneyStore.com online and get this filled. If it doesn’t work, come back in a couple of weeks and I’ll prescribe something stronger. I’m not letting you go under the knife!” He reached over, crushed my hand in his paw and lifted the phone to tell the receptionist to open the door as I was leaving. “You can send in the next patient.”

These are busy days for the ERT, the Economic Recovery Team. A couple of hundred years ago they would have been sending us to the Debtors’ Prison to sweat out our failure to pay; today they are prescribing loans and searching out other ways of keeping us out of jail.

I ran all the way, collected my loan money and am now desperately trying to stay afloat.

The neighbor’s been infected!

“Yes,” said my neighbor’s wife, “Fred was given notice yesterday. The whole staff of 43 has been laid off. The company’s going out of business.”

I know that business. An old established family furniture and household supplies outfit in their own multi-story building downtown. Their logo is, ‘We supplied Abe Lincoln when he was in the White House and we’ll be here forever.’ Another dream goes floating down the Hudson River and out to sea.

A business like this going belly up sounds like a major new client for the Personal Money Store. Can they put together a rescue team to save the entire workforce from disappearing from the market place? 43 loyal members of the staff will drift off into the unemployment and alternative employment market, never to be seen again. When the President, who just moved into the White House, calls them to supply new linen, there’ll be no one to answer the phone.

Payday Loans to the rescue

Can the Personal Money Store and a Payday Loan come up with a plan to rescue these 43 people as they rescued me a few weeks back? Is there such a thing as a communal Payday Loan program to take up the challenge?

Will short-term loans, which are used to tide people over difficult periods, give them enough time to reorganize themselves and get back on their feet by different means? Very often, it is that sudden and dramatic change that can bring on a bout of creative thinking and change in strategy.

Let’s take an example

Take the auto industry. Are our auto manufacturers taking a good look at Tata in India who are selling cars at under $5,000? If the Indians can do it, why can’t we? Okay, we may not get it all the way down to $5,000 but we could be improving. Are we learning how to save costs in manufacturing? Are we applying them to our own cars?

What’s happening in other industries? Are we looking around to see how the rest of the world is doing?

The illness, the medicine, the cure

Hopefully it will be the medicine prescribed by the doctor and supplied by The Personal Money Store in the form of a Payday Loan that will allow a sinking businessman to lift his head out of the water one last time, see the light and make the change.

A New Dog in the White House

President-elect Barack Obama won’t need payday loans to welcome the incoming First Dog, whether it’s a Labradoodle or a Portuguese Water Dog. Of course, he’s going to need some assistance to keep the leash judicious in the White House.

A Promise Obama Can Make Good On

The Obama family has been on a dog search since the November 4th Presidential Election. “This has been tougher than finding a Commerce Secretary,” Barack Obama told the ABC News. During his victory speech, Obama acknowledged his family’s support and contributions to the campaign and brought up the promise he made earlier to his daughters; getting a new puppy, win or lose, payday loans or no payday loans. This may just be the first time in history that an animal has been referenced in a presidential victory speech.

History of Labradoodles

A Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador and a standard Poodle. They are considered to be very intelligent and are great guide dogs. Labradoodles are known to be friendly, loyal, and energetic. Much like payday loans, this dog breed has become very popular worldwide.

Their story begins in Australia. It all started from a visually impaired woman who wanted a guide dog that wouldn’t cough up an allergic reaction. Poodle hair and saliva samples were sent to Hawaii to test for allergy friendliness. In result, none of the original samples proved successful.

The credit goes to Wally Conrad who first discovered the crossbreed between 1988 and 1989. Following the failure of the sample, Conrad suggested crossing a Labrador Retriever and a Standard Poodle. His focus was to combine the low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the mildness and intelligence of the Labrador, and form a Guide Dog suitable for people with serious allergy problems.

The Manager of the Australian Guide Dog Association granted approval and soon after his first litter produced three puppies. One of Labradoodle puppies from the initial mix was considered hypoallergenic. Samples were then sent back to the Lab for testing. This time, the samples from a puppy named Sultan were successful! Wally Conrad gave the crossing breed the name still in use today – Labradoodle.

As Superior as their Owners

Labradoodles are great for companion purposes and provide the best of both worlds as some may say.

Anyone could be a proud owner of a Labradoodle. Sir Donald Campbell was one of the first Labradoodle owners. Jennifer Anniston has one and Golfer Tiger Woods owns two Labradoodles named Yogi and Riley. Even Vice President-elect Joe Biden owns a Labradoodle he named Brother. Apparently, the president-elect will also be bringing a German shepherd puppy with him to the White House. The puppy will be trained and housebroken for the meantime and delivered after the Jan. 20 inauguration. Joe Biden’s grandchildren have named the family’s new dog Champ.

Importance of Understanding: Labradoodles to Payday Loans

If you are looking for Labradoodles for sale or would like to adopt a Labradoodle from a Labradoodle rescue, make sure you are understand as much as you can about the dog breeds. Every breed is different. It’s almost like getting payday loans or any other type of loan. It’s important you understand the terms and conditions of the loan before making an agreement. You must also understand the importance of proper money management and carry out whatever you need to do to prevent future financial hardships.

President George W. Bush and his leading lady Laura Bush are moving back to Texas at the end of his term; payday loans are the perfect source for quick cash when you’re in a hurry to move. The Associated Press reported and confirmed that the first family is expected to return to Texas when they move out of the White House in January. Moving is always stressful, especially when you’re under strict deadlines. The Bush family had the luxury of knowing their move-out date far in advance. Some home buyers and renters are not so fortunate. When buying a home or renting a new apartment, expiring leases, move-out dates, and closing dates can all create added pressure to an already stressful process.

Preston Hollow

George and Laura Bush

Laura Bush’s press secretary confirmed with the AP that the Bushes bought a home earlier this week in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas. A return to Texas was expected for the Bush family. The Bushes lived in Dallas from 1988 to 1995, followed by a move into the governor’s mansion in Austin. It was presumed that the first family would move back to Dallas, but the exact location wasn’t finalized until now; the Bush family’s new address will be 10141 Daria Place. The Preston Hollow community is a wealthy neighborhood in north Dallas, home to some of the most affluent Texans and the most expensive houses in the state. The price tag on the Bushes’ new home is approximately $2 million. The Bush family intends to keep its ranch in Crawford, Texas in order to make weekend visits.

The Perfect Purpose for Payday Loans

If you can afford to purchase a $2 million home, you won’t be needing payday loans. However, some families planning to make a big move into an affordable home, still need payday loans. There are many skeptics out there who doubt the validity of payday loan use; they believe payday loans are simply a trap into a bigger, deeper cycle of debt. On the contrary, payday loans are an extremely valuable resource, and moving into a new place is a perfect example of why payday loans are so practical.

Moving into a New House

Have you ever purchased a house? If so, you know that you can’t choose the exact dates you move out of your old place and into your new place. Your move date hinges on a few factors you can’t control, like the escrow closing dates and your work schedule. Because you’ve already spent most of your money to cover the down payment, other fees, and everyday living costs, you’re going to be strapped for cash. So when the moving date(s) happen to fall in the middle of your pay period, you may not be able to cover the costs of moving. It’s not that you can’t afford to move or that you can’t afford your new home. It’s that the timing of the move isn’t conducive to your paycheck schedule. Payday loans can cover the moving costs and get you into your new home, and you can pay the loans off as soon as you get your next paycheck. A cycle of debt? More like a practical financial tool.

Apartment Deposit

Have you ever been apartment hunting? If so, you know that in the blink of an eye, someone else can rent the apartment in which you are interested. You could find the apartment of your dreams in an online ad while surfing the Internet at work, but by the time you get off work to check it out, your dream apartment is long gone. One crucial aspect to claiming your new apartment is the deposit. So what happens when you find the perfect apartment just after paying your monthly bills? Now you can’t scrape up enough money to cover the deposit until you get your paycheck next week. You know that apartment won’t be available in a week. That apartment won’t even be available tomorrow. A payday loan would help you make the deposit and stake your claim on that apartment. You can pay the loan off next week. A cycle of debt? More like a smart money move.

Financial Freedom

George Bush may not need payday loans to move into his new multi-million dollar home, but at least he believes in financial freedom. Bush believes that people should have access to payday loans to cover moving costs, an apartment deposit or whatever costs the situation calls for. Good thing you realize that payday loans are a smart way to manage your short-term financial obstacles.

Election Day is on its Way

Just one week away from Election Day

Economic policies, tax cuts, payday loans, and the war in Iraq are just a few of the issues this year’s presidential hopefuls are trying to tackle. With less than a week until Election Day, the candidates are doing everything in their power to win over the remaining undecided voters by focusing on these issues. I, for one, have had enough of the issues. I’m not disregarding the importance of the election, but I am definitely ready to sit down in front of the TV without being bombarded by mudslinging political advertisements.

Real Entertainment

As much as it pains me to say this, I’m looking forward to real commercials again—the commercials with cute, little jingles, clever catch-lines, and a product you can trust. I don’t know that the presidential advertisements can claim to have any of those things. All I know is that Super Bowl can’t come fast enough! However, I did have the pleasure of viewing the most entertaining political commercial I’ve seen all election season just the other day, and, surprisingly, it came from one of my least-favorite entertainers: Paris Hilton. Watch Paris campaign to be our Commander-in-Bikini—I mean, Commander-in-Chief.

One Nation under Paris

If Paris were president, this country would see a lot of changes. Isn’t that what we’ve been asking for—change? Paris has an edge over McCain because she doesn’t want to be “another old dude clich ©.” Paris would put an end to “player-hatin’ on the U.S.A.” and she’d cut down on tax dollars by eliminating the entire Cabinet, which she would replace with a closet, of course. Paris is also an advocate of gay-marriage, which is a major issue right now. Last but not least, Paris would relocate the White House to Maui. Paris points out that being president can’t be that hard; if George W. can do it, Paris can, too. Paris has got my vote!

Paris Protects Payday Loans

Maybe having the White House in Maui isn’t such a great idea. In fact, the United States would, without question, collapse with Paris as our president. However, I know one issue all Hiltons care greatly about is money and our financial freedom. I have no doubt Paris would wear any bikini and drink any martini in the name of protecting our financial freedom. We wouldn’t have to worry about McCain or Obama eliminating our access to payday loans. Paris would make sure all Americans could get payday loans, if that’s a choice they wanted to make.
