The influenza strain referred to as the swine flu is starting to make a resurgence, especially in Great Britain. The swine flu, or Influenza H1N1, is a strain of the common flu virus that was tipped as the next great killer epidemic. There have been deaths from the virus, but fewer than anticipated.

British Isles suffers winter outbreak of swine flu

In the past few months, Great Britain has been seeing cases of people getting infected with the swine flu and a few deaths from the disease. Swine flu has been responsible for a few thousand deaths in the last few years, but far fewer than the number caused by normal outbreaks of influenza. However, the swine flu strain is beginning to rebound, as 14 people have died from the disease in England since October, according to the Daily Mail. All fatalities were under 65 years of age and six were under 18. The most common factor in all deaths from swine flu, just as in last year’s pandemic, were underlying conditions such as diabetes or asthma.

Swine flu affects people differently

Swine flu, or H1N1 Influenza, is a little different than the typical annual strains that spread during flu season. Swine flu affects adults and teenagers worse than other age groups, which is not typical for influenza. There are usually a few hundred thousand deaths per year from influenza, mostly among young children and the elderly. Those with already compromised immune systems are also at risk. The 2009 swine flu only resulted in less than 20,000 deaths worldwide, less than 10 percent of typical annual deaths from influenza, according to Wikipedia.

Pandemic over

In 2009, swine flu was declared a pandemic by health organizations, such as the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control. A swine flu vaccine was supposed to be ready in huge numbers, but production faltered and many compared the 2009 outbreak to the 1976 swine flu outbreak, which was thought to be a panic over nothing.

We’ve heard of dangerous treatment – but dangerous PREVENTION?

There aren’t any known H1N1 vaccine deaths from this current outbreak yet, but they may occur. It isn’t likely to be many. Flu vaccines, especially H1N1 vaccines (this isn’t the first time anybody’s caught H1N1 – it’s broken out before) carry a risk of afflicting the vaccinated with Guillain Barre Syndrome. What’s weird is that the government is using the cash advances they got from we, the people (our taxes) and were supposed to deliver 120 million vaccines. We got 10 million. (I don’t know about anyone else, but I feel short changed. Spiteful aside, it appears that yet again, No We Can’t due to incompetence!) However, don’t panic.

Guillain Barre Syndrome is an ascending paralysis that can be fatal

Guillain Barre syndrome is a breakdown of the fatty lining (this is fat that you don’t want to waste instant cash on losing – without it, you die) of the nerves, typically beginning in the legs. The nerves lose control of, well, everything, and it creeps it’s way upward. It’s the leading cause of non-trauma paralysis. It is a risk of modern flu vaccines, and if a lot of people get swine flu vaccines, people will get it, and people will die. However, put this into perspective – the seasonal flu, i.e. the flu that EVERYBODY gets, kills over 30,000 people in the U.S. alone, up to 500,000 worldwide, and the actual risk of the side effects are low, and risk of death from it- even lower.

Last Swine Flu Panic – 1976, and it was EMBARRASSING

For those that aren’t “in the know” (which is a kind way of saying that if people would learn a little history, do a little research, they might learn about what panics occur over) there was a swine flu outbreak in 1976. Congress decided to mobilize mass immunizations, wasting millions of dollars in the process, after ONE PERSON DIED. (That’s IT. Hardly an epidemic.) Less than 33% of the U.S. actually got the immunization. Of those, 500 were afflicted with GBS, of which 25 people died. If you’re thinking in terms of global disease…you might get where I’m going, but that said, the last swine flu (this one isn’t actually a swine flu, but it is H1N1) or the 1976 Swine Flu Outbreak was a panic over nothing, with vaccinations that didn’t do anyone any good, but did cost a lot.

Immunizations carry risks

Immunizations always carry a risk. The very act itself is risky – how immunizations work is that a very small sample of a virus or bacteria is injected, alerting the immune system to its presence so the body can build anti-bodies, which carries a risk of infection. The H1N1 Vaccine, as well as flu vaccines in general, carry risks of infection and of GBS, but it’s a small risk. The risk of death from the H1N1 is about 1 in 1000, and the risk of getting Guillain Barre from it (culled from an article on CBS News) is between 1 in 100,000 to 1 in 1,000,000. (That’s literally one in a million.) 80% of GBS patients completely recover, and less than 4 in 100 afflicted with it die. Health professionals advise weighing the pros and cons of vaccinating, and getting yourself, your spouse, and your children vaccinated will cost a cash advance loans worth. Take care of yourselves; be safe; get vaccinated if you’re at risk – but above all, DON’T PANIC.

Avoid the flu during your job hunt with help from Walgreens and CVS

<img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-49078" title="Time for a flu shot" src="http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/flu-shot-258x300.jpg" alt="Your inoculation is complete. Here is your "I vaccinated!" sticker, citizen. (Photo: flickr.com)

There are many people who believe that it’s a good idea to get a flu shot each season in order to avoid onset of the annoying illness. I personally do not subscribe to this idea (see the video below for an idea of what I think about it), but even I recognize that groups like young children, the elderly and those with respiratory conditions can benefit from vaccines. Now that Walgreens flu shots are going to be free for the unemployed and uninsured, it seems that more people than ever will be in position to partake of the helpful (harmful?) flu shots before cold weather sets in. For lenders of instant cash loans, greater health will mean more people will be active and in need of money to keep their lifestyles going strong.

Walgreens and CVS will offer millions of dollars of seasonal shots

Walgreens flu shots (and CVS flu shots) will be available to many thousands of people, according to Newsday. Walgreens will give out $1 million in shots to the uninsured through its 7,000 U.S. stores and clinics. CVS Caremark will provide consumers with 100,000 free shots. That has a street value of about $3 million (actually, no… but if a black market begins for flu shots, perhaps).

Job seekers need to stay on top of their game

That’s who the Walgreens flu shots are primarily geared toward. By their own records, CVS claims that only 34 percent of job seekers received a shot last year. Compare this with the overall 49 percent of the total population (also a CVS estimate) that was seeking employment and you’ll see that more people need to get their RDA of mercury!

Job seekers are among the least likely to get flu shots, with 34 percent of them receiving shots last year, compared with 49 percent of the overall population, according to a CVS study.

Seasonal vaccine won’t stop swine flu

Walgreens flu shots won’t protect you against H1N1 virus, so don’t go in there hoping for your free dosage. The government is more than willing to help you with that one. If you don’t comply, say hello to the Rex84 plan. Get ready for that excitement this fall… perhaps.

Other consumers can partake if they wish

CVS and Walgreens flu shots will be available to everyone, but if you’re employed or insured, you’ll have to pay if your policy doesn’t cover. According to a Walgreens corporate statement, a nasal spray version of the seasonal formula is available now for $29.99 at Walgreens. If you are a fan of needles, you’ll only have to pay $24.99, which is hardly so much that you’ll need an instant cash loan. The stores will definitely need that money, as people are preparing for flu season early and the expected demand for the shots is great. Walgreens estimates 50 percent of all consumers will comply, says Newsday.

CVS is making flu shots an event

Because what could be more festive than indoctrination (oops, I mean inoculation). Beginning September 15, CVS will begin holding “flu shot clinic events” where trained professionals will administer the vaccine.

Wal-Mart and Rite Aid want in on the action

Not to be outdone, Wal-Mart will begin sticking random customers who wear overalls or pajamas (I kid; people volunteer) in mid-September. Rite Aid will begin offering seasonal flu shots within the next week.

Wither the swine flu?

Remember, these pharmacies won’t be offering free H1N1 shots. The Wichita Eagle reports at http://www.kansas.com/news/story/952424.html that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be circulating H1N1 vaccine this flu season. It’s currently under development and will be ready by mid-October or later.

While you’re waiting like a good citizen, the government recommends you get your regular flu shot. I can’t stress enough how much they recommend it. Get it, people? Fly your flags and swab those arms.

“The more people you get in a community who are immunized, the less likely the illness is to spread,” said Dr. Robert Kenagy of Wichita, Kansas.

Swine flu symptoms your government doesn’t want you to have

Like most any flu, swine flu is spread through coughs and sneezes from infected parties. If you have it, you most likely will have a 100-plus degree fever, aches and trouble breathing. If things get bad enough, you’ll also be relocated by groups that don’t fully identify themselves. But that last one won’t happen, will it?

[apply_button float="right"]

H1N1 tends to pose the greatest danger to young people and those with chronic respiratory conditions. Those with diabetes, heart disease and asthma are also at risk. Those who fight to maintain the citizenry’s right to an occasional instant cash loan may also be targets for the disease, although I could also be making that up. But it is definitely true that an instant cash loan can help you in a tight spot, flu or not. Click the button above to apply.

What’s an Internment Specialist, daddy?

“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” – Thomas Jefferson

Your forced recovery awaits (Photo: flickr.com)

Did you know that the United States Army National Guard has been advertising job openings for “Internment Specialists?” Who would we be rounding up for internment, anyway? The United States hasn’t done that openly since Asian-Americans were forced into relocation camps during the World War II era.

Has the time come when political dissidents and malcontents will no longer dare question the actions of their government? By doing so, would they risk being rounded up by Internment Specialists and filed away in a place where they cannot disturb a perfect Orwellian, “1984″-esque peace? Remember, in the parlance of NewSpeak, peace is war. The government simply wants to be prepared, as a part of Rex 84. In the meantime, we make a living day to day, occasionally relying upon secured loans and installment loans for our daily bread.

Breaking bread, breaking us

Taking a historical perspective, Kurt Nimmo writes for Global Research that the Army National Guard’s search for “corrections officers and internment/resettlement specialists” smacks of communist China and Mao’s way. Here’s a sample from the recruitment ad:

As an Internment/Resettlement Specialist for the Army National Guard, you will ensure the smooth running of military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility, similar to those duties conducted by civilian Corrections Officers… This will require you to know proper procedures and military law; and have the ability to think quickly in high-stress situations. Specific duties may include assisting with supervision and management operations; providing facility security; providing custody, control, supervision, and escort; and counseling individual prisoners in rehabilitative programs.

FEMA camps are “rehabilitative programs”

Glenn Beck and other apologists say otherwise, but Nimmo points to specific military documents at http://www.army.mil/usapa/epubs/pdf/r210_35.pdf that demonstrate plans to relocate people into camps. Namely, Army Regulation 210-35, which bears the name “Civilian Inmate Labor Program.” According to the document, 210-35 “provides guidance for establishing and managing civilian inmate labor programs on Army installations. It provides guidance on establishing prison camps on Army installations.”

[apply_button float="right"]

This is quite similar to the kind of detention centers that used to thrive in Mao’s China. They were reeducation centers that used forced labor to break down residents in the interests of turning them toward “the greater good.” Joseph Stalin sanctioned a similar network of GULAGS (which is an acronym based on the Russian phrase for “The Chief Administration of Corrective Labor Camps and Colonies”). Does this sound like the kind of liberty that America’s founding fathers guaranteed its citizens? Apply for installment loans and secured loans now if you think you’ll need one… you may not be at liberty to do so later.

Enter Rex 84

This is what the United States government has in place to enact martial law and use Internment Specialists to relocate those who do not comply. According to Wikipedia, Rex 84 (Readiness Exercise 1984) is “a plan by the United States federal government to test their ability to detain large numbers of refugees or American citizens in case of civil unrest or national emergency.” It is a continuity of government plan that places FEMA in charge of rooting out domestic terrorism, essentially. What constitutes domestic terrorism is for them to know and citizens to find out, apparently.

The program was initially tested in 1984, with the goal of dealing with “civil disturbances, major demonstrations and strikes that would affect continuity of government and/or resource mobilization,” writes Nimmo. If you are a subversive in any way, Rex 84 and FEMA will look to deploy “the military to implement government ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels” and authorize “the arrest of certain unidentified segments of the population, and the imposition of martial law.”

Our government is prepared to institute martial law

And they’ve practiced for that day numerous times over the years. Politically repressive actions like the Palmer Raids and the McCarthy Era are two examples. From 1967 to 1971, the ADEX List was written. Over 100,000 people are on that list, among them a variety of notable public figures. They are considered “subversive” and are to be rounded up if the government deems it prudent.

The Patriot Act and its focus on Homeland Security brought renewed steam to the Rex 84 engine. In fact, Northcom (See: http://www.northcom.mil/) was established stateside in 2002 to assist in federal homeland defense efforts.
