“America’s Got Talent” crowned a new winner last night, but unfortunately it seems people are a lot more interested in some of the other performers than they were in Kevin Skinner, the winner.

So, I shall tackle this topic in order of public interest, or at least interest on the Internet, which is where we are — the magical Internet, where you can get quick payday loans and I can find out what people are Googling. So, beginning with the topic the most people are interested in …

Shakira on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Apparently, Shakira’s performance on “America’s Got Talent” has thrown 13-year-old boys across the country all into a tizzy along with millions of others. In a skintight black number, she sang her internationally popular single “She Wolf,” shook her booty and humped a speaker.

My coworker told me that even after she made her 13-year-old son leave the room during Shakira on “America’s Got Talent,” that was all he could talk about for the rest of the night. She was pretty disappointed that “Shakira danced like a sleeze bucket” on a family show.

And on that note, if you want to see the video of Shakira on “America’s Got Talent,” you’ll have to find it yourself. Don’t worry, it’s not difficult. Let’s move on to someone who definitely is appropriate for a family show, and happens to be the second most popular “America’s Got Talent”-related topic.

Susan Boyle ‘Wild Horses’ video

Susan Boyle, the woman who knocked the socks off of judges and viewers on “Britain’s Got Talent” with her amazing voice, came to the good ol’ U.S. of A. to perform a little Rolling Stones ditty called “Wild Horses.” I watched the Susan Boyle “Wild Horses” video, and I really liked that she took this old classic and made it her own.

It was also nice to catch up on what she’s been doing since her rise to the international spotlight and following mini meltdown. I also learned she has an album coming out in November. She talks about it in this Susan Boyle “Wild Horses” video:

Kevin Skinner wins ‘America’s Got Talent’

Finally, buried deep among topics on the scale of public interest, we come to the chicken catcher, Kevin Skinner, who won this season of “America’s Got Talent.” I guess it’s tough for a country boy and his guitar to compete with  instant, surprise international sensation Susan Boyle and a bootylicious blonde with her pants painted on.

Nonetheless, Kevin Skinner wins “America’s Got Talent,” and he’s off to perform in Las Vegas with $1 million in his pocket. Not a bad paycheck for an “unemployed chicken catcher.” So now that we have talked about Shakira on “America’s Got Talent” and seen the Susan Boyle “Wild Horses” video, it’s time to celebrate with him when Kevin Skinner wins.
