Hi. My name is Amy, and I live in Santa Clarita, California. I am a single mom with a 16-year-old son, James, who goes to Valencia High School. However, here’s something that came to me completely out of left field – and at a completely inappropriate time. James comes up to me and says, “Hey, mom. I need some collared shirts. It’s a new school rule or something.”

Or something? Wonderful! I’d just spent all the money I’d set aside in our budget for school clothes, I wasn’t due to be paid until the following week and my ex was in between jobs. Normally I’d use my credit card in such a situation, but since I was shooting for a clean credit report after having trouble a year ago (and the card was nearly maxed), I didn’t want to push it.

I understand Valencia wanting their students to look professional; once they reach the business world, it’s something they’ll have to get used to quick. But COME ON… did Vikings have to wear collared shirts went they sailed the seas, discovered new lands and sacked villages? I would think the button-ups would be an occupational hazard. God willing, I needed to come up with some extra cash before my son became a target for both school administrators and the mean kids who want to knock him down a peg. My credit report history didn’t need any more dings, so I had to figure something out fast.

Small installments-Perfect!

I’d used an unsecured loan in the past, so I contacted the company I’d gone through before for more information. Guess what? Not only are small installments right up my alley, but the loan would not register on my credit check! I applied and received approval in what seemed like just a few minutes, and then the money hit my account before the end of the day! I had a few nice collared shirts for James to wear to school the following day. To the representative whose help and kind words made a tough situation that much easier, I’d like to say “Thank you” and “God bless.” I feel like I can breathe again, and the payments are going to fit into our budget without difficulty. I can continue to repair credit fast by putting my credit card back in the drawer. Out little crisis is a thing of the past, thanks to unsecured loans!

Just too much of a “security risk”

According to this story in the London Daily Telegraph, doctors from the Bristol, England lab where the 60 million stem cells had been grown were prepared to fly the cells to Ms. Castillo in Barcelona. However, easyJet staff allegedly refused to allow the package on board, claiming it contained more than 100ml of fluid that “posed a security risk.”

A security risk? We’re talking about saving a life

The cells, which took five months to grow, had to arrive in Barcelona within 16 hours before becoming unusable.

Professor Martin Birchall of Bristol University says he begged airline staff to make an exception and repair credit fast with them, Claudia Castillo and the rest of the caring world.

easyJet refused his request

According to Birchall:

They said it couldn’t go on because it would be a security risk – but I had been talking to people on a regular basis. I was so furious, trying to explain months of work. The clock was ticking. We’d taken the cells out of their culture media an hour before. We thought about driving to Barcelona, but that would have taken too long.

Luckily, one Mr. Philip Jungerbluth, a medical student who was to accompany the cells on their flight, saved the day. Birchall again:

Philip said he had a friend from medical school who used to fly and within a couple of phone calls he got him to leave Germany and be with us and he said he would charge us cost only.

14,000 pounds saved Claudia Castillo’s life

The professor paid to charter a jet out of his own pocket, though the cost was later reimbursed by Bristol University. Apparently the sanctity of human life trumps policy.

What did easyJet have to say for themselves after this public relations debacle?

According to a spokesman:

We do not have any record of the passenger’s request to carry medical materials on board the flight.

easyJet did refund the cost of the flight, but they lost so much more. Don’t credit repair of an ailing woman’s health to easyJet, world. Credit Martin Birchall and Philip Jungerbluth for caring about human life.

Singer Bjork Gudmundsdottir (known worldwide by her first name, Bjork) has called for her home country

to turn away from the independent course it has maintained since the age of Vikings and join the European Union.

Iceland’s economic downturn has largely been a byproduct of the collapse of its three major banks. Difficulties began when they were unable to refinance short-term debt with installment loans and citizens began to pull their money and deposit it in the United Kingdom. Bad way to repair credit fast.

Pull your money, pull the rug out from under the economy

Now Iceland is in dire need of financial stability. According to “hundreds of start-up companies” Bjork has spoken with, the number one thing that would stop Iceland’s current shift toward economic and ecological collapse (the latter courtesy of a growing aluminum smelting industry) is to stabilize the currency. The euro would be a logical choice for credit repair services, but Iceland would have to join the EU first.

There would be conditions

Some European countries say they will support an IMF loan and emergency EU aid to Iceland only if Reykjavik settles a dispute over frozen British assets
