Image from Flickr.

Spokeo.com claims to do something very simple: aggregate all the publicly available information about a person and sell it to anyone who is willing to pay with payday loans or otherwise. Many are asking if it’s a Spokeo.com scam, or if Spokeo really does offer a legitimate service. The answer is … sort of. “Spokeo.com is a scam” isn’t entirely true, but the functionality of Spokeo isn’t necessarily entirely legitimate.

What Spokeo.com offers

Spokeo.com itself is a search engine that aggregates social networking information. Any information considered public on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Ning, Netflix, Flickr, Last.fm or any other network is aggregated using the Spokeo.com search. The aggregator matches the information it gathers with an e-mail address. Spokeo.com then sells the information it aggregates to anybody who gets payday loans no faxing or any other financing to pay for the information.

Spokeo.com scam?

There have been many allegations that Spokeo.com Scam might be a better name for the company. Spokeo.com itself states in its privacy policy that it only gathers publicly available information. Independent tests by snopes.com and news services have found that the opt-out process on Spokeo.com is spotty. Spokeo.com scam whistle-blowers also claim that Spokeo.com scam billing processes are of concern.

The response of Spokeo.com to scam allegations is that company heads are “just launching a new version of Spokeo and are reviewing policies and algorithms.”

Keeping social networking information safe from Spokeo

The spookiest thing about Spokeo.com, scam or not, is that it aggregates information on the internet you may or may not want shared. More important than which web sites like Spokeo.com might be aggregating your information is what you choose to share. If available, set your privacy settings to a level you are comfortable with.

Spokeo.com is an aggregator – so be sure to remove information you do not want public from the original web site where the information was available. Beyond protecting yourself from the potential Spokeo.com scam, it is just good practice in protecting yourself online.

Image from Flickr.

In 1974, a pack of Wrigley’s gum was the first item ever scanned using the new Universal Product Code barcode system. Twenty years later, a Japanese corporation created the “QR Code” – a two-dimensional bar code designed for “Quick Response”. Since then, the QR code has been slowly but surely working its way into our everyday lives the same way the barcode has – identifying everything from instant loans to magazine subscriptions. Though in the last few weeks, the QR code has started making headlines of its own. From a QR barcode on Facebook to SXSW conference badges, they’re popping up everywhere, and developers are hoping you’ll use your phone to interact with them.

What exactly is a QR barcode?

A QR barcode is similar to the standard linear barcode in that it uses a matrix of printed black and white to encode information into the 1′s and 0′s that are easily read by computer programs. Rather than a linear design, though, the QR barcode uses square pixels that can pack a large amount of information into a small printed area.

The QR barcode can be printed in black and white on almost any product or piece of paper; it can also be displayed on screens, including mobile phone screens. The QR barcode can also be photographed or read with many mobile phone cameras and provide instructions to the device.

QR barcode – Facebook testing for use?

This morning on Facebook, for a few minutes, an option appeared that offered the option of creating a QR code for a profile or a status. While the option has since disappeared for most users, it has started a firestorm of speculation.

Generated by m.facebook.com, these QR barcodes on Facebook appear to be targeted to mobile users. Most likely, the intention is that you can use your QR barcode as a quick and easy way to connect others to your Facebook profile – a printed version on your resume or as a sticker on the back of your phone, for example. The QR barcode could essentially become a link to your identity – and soon, you may not even need to show ID to get payday loans no faxing.

Use a QR barcode as your movie ticket

Facebook is not the only online application that is experimenting with a QR barcode, however. TechCrunch reported that Fandango (and competitor MovieTickets.com) have rolled out limited city testing of a QR barcode ticketing system.

Rather than having to print your purchased ticket, this system simply displays a QR barcode on your phone screen that can be scanned at the theater. This removes a printer from the equation, and it would reduce the wait at the ticket-printing kiosks at the theater. Here, the use of the QR barcode saves Fandango customers frustration and gets them into the theater faster.

QR barcodes at SXSW

As one of the biggest gatherings of tech-savvy in the United States, the South By Southwest conference is always trying out the latest and greatest. This year, all conference attendees got personalized QR barcodes on their conference badges, with the intention that the QR barcode could be scanned when two people wanted to exchange personal contact information – saving the hassle of keeping track of a stack of business cards.

CNet reports, however, that this experiment has not gone completely smoothly. Required logins proved to be more of a stumbling block than organizers had hoped, though they plan to improve the system for next year.

The QR barcode is not yet a perfect system

QR barcodes are showing up everywhere – but that doesn’t mean the system is without hitches. Much like barcode scanning applications, all QR barcode apps rely on the camera built into phones. These cameras are not always able to easily take a clear picture of the barcode, leading to unreadable data.

Low-light situations and shaky hands add to this problem. There are also privacy concerns, as many people have very little desire to link their digital lives and physical lives so quickly and easily. There are also other, competing “next generation” barcode systems, such as the High Capacity Color Barcode and RFID tags, which both promise to store even more information than the 4,296 alphanumeric characters that the QR barcode can store.

Teaching my children about finances was very important to me. I started teaching them at a very young age.

About finances and payday loans no faxing

As soon as they could count, I would give them pennies to count. I wanted to make sure they always had a handle on their finances. I taught them about budgeting young; you make a certain amount of money, you plan exactly what you have to pay and you are frugal with your expenses. I had a list of don’ts for them: don’t spend more than you have, don’t overdraw your checking account, don’t borrow money, don’t get payday loans no faxing.

Life happens and so do payday loans no faxing

Then something happened in my life and that was, “Life Happened.” Job layoffs, broken washing machines, broken cars, being just a few hundred dollars short for this month’s rent. And I learned something. Sometimes I need just a couple hundred dollars to avoid that huge late fee or overdraft fee or shut-off fee. I learned that at a time like that, it is okay to borrow money with personal installment loans or payday loans no faxing. Not only is it okay, it’s the best thing I can do.

Is the car broken?

If my car is broken so I can’t get to work to earn the money I need to support my family, I need to think. First, can I take the bus or catch a ride. If not, if the only option is to get the car fixed, then it is better to get personal installment loans and get the car fixed so I can get to work. If the washing machine is broken and there are children’s diapers that need washing, it is better to get paydayloans to fix the washer than to buy expensive disposable diapers. If the electric company is threatening to shut off my power, it is better to take out payday loans no faxing and pay the bill than it is to pay late fees, shut-off fees and reconnect fees.

So I changed what I teach my children and I share this with my friends. I teach them the same do’s– to budget and be frugal. But I also taught say it is okay to take out paydayloans when absolutely necessary. Be careful not to abuse these loans and don’t take out more than you can pay back. Payday loans no faxing can be our friends. Knowledge of paydayloans and how they work is important. This knowledge can help us to be financially prepared.

What are the requirements for payday loans no faxing?

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must have a job
• You must have a checking account

Besides saving money in emergency situations, what else is good about payday loans no faxing?

It’s easy to apply-just a simple, quick application that anyone can do

Becoming a part of Statistics

According to Washington Post writer Guy Gugliotta, there was “a survey of 44 cities, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities found that 75 percent of the low-income households earning less than $10,000 per year are paying more than 30 percent of their incomes in rent.” (a.08, Nov25, 1992)

In today’s day and age, many have found themselves closer and closer to being part of this statistic. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Soon there will no longer be a middle class; just the poor and the rich. Now I consider myself to be of the lower middle class income level. However, I would be ranked in the lowest class if it wasn’t for installment loans for people with bad credit. In fact, I think many people depend on money loans to get by these days. Without this option, the middle class would become obsolete.

Payday loans are for all income levels

Some are as low as 50 dollars and others as high as 1500 dollars, whichever the case, Personal Money Market can help alleviate the situation that’s plaguing America today.

“The study discovered that poor households in California had the gravest problems with rents, with five California urban areas showing 87 percent or more of low-income households unable to obtain affordable housing.” (a.08)

Every product or service you can think of is on the rise, especially in California where many of its residents are unable to pay their rent. I’m not personally from California, but I have been in this dire situation on more than one occasion. My pay day just wasn’t coming soon enough in some cases. In one instance, I had to send my 7-year-old daughter out of state to go live with family because I could not come up with rent. I was not going to drag my little girl through homeless shelters, so I sacrificed my time with her. We are now together again, but I don’t know what the outcome would have been if I wasn’t able to get short term loans online during the hard times.

How loans can help.

Hard money loans helped me stay afloat and, in many situations, can help all families keep their housing or even get the deposit to move into a new home. Now instant cash isn’t always an option. Some people resort to illegal activities just to keep their home. This is not an option to the average person. You can get payday cash with a fax less payday loan. I use same day loans for a lot of different reasons. I avoided homelessness once. I also repaired my car a few times using money from an online payday loan.

Pay day loan advances can’t fix the housing crisis in California and throughout the United States, but It can help a lot of working people keep what they have strived so hard to achieve. I am grateful everyday for Personal Money Market. Had they not help loan me fast cash, I would not be here today to tell you about this very topic. Thanks for reading and I hope you can find relief with all your money woes through the same service.

Check out our application today! (Photo: flickr.com)

Payday loans of the no faxing kind are a very beneficial lending product for people who depend solely on their paycheck for almost all of their monthly expenditures. Unless you are a billionaire or were born into a royalty, you’ll likely be in the class that lives from paycheck to paycheck. Bad credit is okay with these types of payday loans which are very similar to bad credit installment loans.

However, then a no fax payday loan can prove to be a very suitable financial relief option with which you can arrange for some quick cash to be direct deposited into your savings or checking account.

Spendable cash in just 2 hours

With payday loans no faxing required you can have spendable cash in your account in just a couple of hours. Payday loans can be acquired quickly because they have a small number of required prerequisite qualifications and are easy to process, providing you that cash you need for immediate use.

A no faxing payday loan is a loan that you can mostly get on the same day of your request. If not the same day then it usually takes a day or maximum of two to get that much needed cash into your bank account. There are a number of providers that you can approach in person or even better online when you need instant cash.

Payday loans no faxing prerequisites

Payday loans without the hassle of having to fax identification and income verification documents are essential to meet any urgent financial crisis that may happen at any given time. Internet technologies now allow you to request faxless payday loans online just when you need it the most. Most direct payday lenders provide a 24-7 payday loan request and approval system.

Direct deposit of up to $1,500

Many allow generous payday loans of up to $1500 via direct deposit to your bank account. Payday lenders give you an advance on your own money and you pay it back with your next paycheck with a fee added. For most no faxing payday loans providers the payment plans are very easy to manage. If you are a U.S. citizen with a steady job or other income and have an active bank account then you are almost qualified to get a payday loan now.

Instant approval is available with payday loans no faxing

All good direct lenders provide a fast approval for your payday loan request. Apply online in only a couple of minutes and you may have your no fax payday loan in a couple of hours. For loan requests of up to $1,500, there is typically no requirement to run a credit check against you. So even if you have defaulted in repayments for your regular bills or otherwise have had a bad credit record, even then you’ll easily get approval for a payday loan.

Research before applying for a no faxing payday loan

So when you are looking for a no faxing payday loan over the internet the best thing to do is to compare the various providers, their loan offers, and payment terms. This way, you’ll be able to quickly compare a lot of different no faxing payday loan providers and then make an informed decision about which ones fit your requirements the best.

You’ll also be able to compare their fees. Above all you will be able to tell in what duration you’ll have to pay back the entire amount. This is probably the only effort you’ll need to make when you want to acquire a payday loan. A quick no faxing payday loan is great at helping you in times of need. However, do remember that abusing them can break you down financially just as fast.

Site had been criticized for being “out of date”

Your stimulus dollars at work, as recounted by the new Recovery.gov (Photo: flickr.com)

Is America’s economic engine running without knocks and pings yet? I would suggest that we are far from being out of the woods yet, despite pockets of stability. However, those who are ready to exclaim “mission accomplished” will most likely credit the Obama administration economic stimulus packages as the jolt that jumpstarted a nation. For the believers in the congregation, there is a Web site called Recovery.gov. Its purpose has been to track just how those stimulus dollars are being spent.

Yet Recovery.gov has had its own knocks and pings

According to numerous sources, Recovery.gov was nearly written off by many as yet another example of a government promise that failed to deliver. Critics levied charges that the information was either out-of-date or contradictory to other published information. People are looking to payday loans with no faxing to stimulate their budget between paychecks; they don’t want their government to mismanage their tax funds.

Recovery.gov has relaunched

Responding to this criticism may be a significant reason why Recovery.gov has relaunched. The Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board told the New York Times that the site relaunched today (Monday, September 28, 2009). Recovery Board chair Earl Devaney has said that the new and improved Recovery.gov “will be very interactive and user-friendly and will allow the public to find detailed information on projects in their states, congressional districts, and even in their own neighborhoods.”

Think you see some shady deals?

The Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board has also made a toll-free phone number available for taxpayers who suspect that stimulus funds are being used in a fraudulent manner. That number – (877) FWA-DESK gives us all a chance to be the watcher who watches the watchmen. Just think “Fraud, Waste and Abuse,” suggests the Recovery Board: F-W-A.

$787 billion in stimulus | Can Recovery.gov track it all?

That is a question that remains to be seen, despite the fact that Recovery.gov originally launched back in February 2009. However, Devaney defends the work that’s been done on the Web site. “We put up the most complex database of government spending, ever, in five or six months,” he told the Pittsburgh Tribune. “Normally, that would take a couple of years.”

[apply_button float="right"]

He makes a valid point, as there’s quite a lot of data to track across the board. Payday loans with no faxing are easy to follow from origination to delivery and repayment, but you’re only dealing with one person at a time, rather than multiple infusions made into scores of national agencies. Obviously, a stimulus database will take time before its close to perfect. I just hope that President Obama’s promise of transparency will indeed be a promise fulfilled.

Lost in translation

Recently, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat down for a town hall-style meeting at the Congolese capital of Kinshasa. According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, her stop is part of an 11-day tour through Africa to promote “development and good governance, and to underscore the Obama administration’s commitment” to aiding the African continent. In particular, her visit to the Congo was meant to focus upon women in the country who are raped during genocide wars.Speaking of the Congo, there’s a country that could use short term loans and payday loans with no faxing…

And she’s upset over one question a student asked her

It appears that the reason for this is that there was an erroneous translation made by the translator onstage with Hillary Clinton, who was angry. The translation given of the student’s question involved what “Mr. Clinton” thought about a foreign policy issue. Here was Hillary Clinton and her angry response:

You want me to tell you what my husband thinks? If you want my opinion, I will tell you my opinion, I am not going to be channeling my husband. My husband is not secretary of state, I am.

Pronoun trouble?

(Photo: mangdiddles.blogspot.com)

Assistant Secretary P.J. Crowley revealed later that it was not the student’s intention to make it sound as though he was asking for Mr. Clinton’s opinion. The fact is that the student was attempting to ask Mrs. Clinton what President Obama’s views were on a deal between China and the Democratic Republic of Congo – NOT Bill Clinton.

But Hillary Clinton was angry

It’s a telling response. Perhaps it’s the limelight Bill Clinton has recently received for his diplomatic mission to North Korea, the mission that freed imprisoned journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee and possibly restarted nuclear talks. Perhaps that has her a bit on edge. However, she has nothing to be jealous about. Bill was working a diplomatic channel that had been established during his own presidency; it was not a slight to Hillary that she wasn’t the one to participate in the meeting with Kim Jong Il. And Hillary has an impressive list of accomplishments in her own right, and she is fully capable to serve as the United States Secretary of State.

Let’s look at the exchange

From the viewpoint of this Examiner piece, “the only thing more offensive to her might have been if the reporter asked her to make some cookies for her husband.” So clearly, there are gender issues here, particularly when it comes to sex roles. Is this something that we’re going to have to cover until the end of time? Men and women have similarities in terms of what they are capable of, but there are also differences. We need to celebrate those differences instead of continuing to use them to separate.

Is Hillary Clinton angry about what Bill was able to accomplish in North Korea? She shouldn’t be. Her State Department did most of the heavy lifting behind the scenes, indicates the Examiner. Bill was simply sent in to close the deal because he’d already established relationships with dignitaries in North Korea. Yes, it is true that Bill Clinton is receiving the credit in the media for having busted open the Ling/Lee situation and being charming old Bill with Kim Jong Il, but Hillary Clinton worked hard to achieve the gains we have made with North Korea.

What’s next?

While it is definitely a low blow, I’m amused by what the Examiner writer suggests could be in the works:

She may truly lose her mind if Monica Lewinsky personally gets Iran to give up on its nuclear program. Judging from her anger in this video I do not think any of us wish to see Secretary Clinton truly lose her temper.

Funny? Maybe. I certainly wasn’t one of those who laughed off Bill Clinton’s affair with Lewinsky back in the day, but I can laugh at this sentiment. After the translation problem was rectified in the Congo, there was no longer an issue. “Hillary Clinton angry!” went the way of “Hulk smash!” It’s a cartoon, not real news about our Secretary of State. What would be news is if short term loans and payday loans with no faxing were instituted in that war-torn country. Apply here if you need that kind of help…

(Photo: whitechocomocha.com)

In this recession, people are looking for ways to save money. No matter what rabbit hole they need to dig into, people are counting on pennies saved whenever possible. In places like North Carolina where unemployment has grown at a staggering pace, people need some kind of relief.

For instance, back to school season has already begun. What are parents to do? Kids have to be prepared when class starts, so the prerequisite folders, pencils, paper and clothing must be ready. Something has to give.

Enter tax free weekend in NC

In North Carolina and other states, the idea of having a tax free weekend has proven popular. According to McClatchy Newspapers at http://www.thesunnews.com/extras/story/1012604.html, the tax free weekends make buying expensive items like computers a better proposition than ever, considering there’s no sales tax. Buying expensive items can save consumers hundreds of dollars in that scenario.

However, even the small expenses count when there’s no sales tax. Like many other states, North Carolina is mired with double-digit unemployment. Parents are cutting corners wherever they can, but their children do need certain things for school. Charity organizations can help, but with the tremendous demand lately, even they are taxed to the limit.

A free tax weekend eases the burden, even if just temporarily

Kathy Grannis, spokeswoman for the National Retail Federation, knows that families are on the lookout for good deals on school supplies.

“People are comparison shopping like they never have before,” she said. “They’re also taking a look at extracurricular activities and digging through closets to find notebooks or binders that may not have been used the previous year.”

Charities feeling the pinch

Helping Hand Mission in Raleigh, North Carolina depends almost entirely upon community donations in order to serve those in need. Those donations have been slow in coming lately. Their greatest need is school supplies, says director Sylvia Wiggins. The plan in place right now is to ration out what they have on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to help everyone.

“It’s about as bad as it’s ever been,” Wiggins said. “It’s rough, man.”

Helping Hand and other charities in North Carolina hope that the tax free weekend in NC will enable some people to stock up on supplies and donate some of them to the charities in need. One such program is the “Stuff the Bus” campaign, which operates outside such big-box stores as Wal-Mart.

Tax free weekend to help retailers

While teachers may be scaling back on what they’re asking students to provide, it seems obvious that tax free weekend in NC will still benefit retailers by drawing people who may otherwise have decided shopping for school supplies is too expensive.

This is what you'll save on tax free weekend!

For instance, the general manager of the Staples office supply store in Cary, North Carolina, Mark Pygott, expects to see a definite boost in sales numbers. He told McClatchy that while school supply sales are typically a plus this time of year, his biggest boost should come from sales of electronics and computers due to the significant tax break.

Freedom from financial burden

Tax free weekends in NC and other states may not be enough to make the specter of the recession go away entirely, but as I’ve said, every little bit helps. For families with no other option, it’s a small, good thing.

If your situation is such that a tax free weekend won’t be enough to help you tackle a financial problem, perhaps something like payday loans with no faxing or short term loans will be useful in your situation. If you would like to apply, please do so here.

If you’re in the market for a car, get to buying!

Cash For Clunkers has been extended (Photo: blogs.southtownstar.com)

Did you actually think that a Senate with a Democratic super majority would allow one of President Obama’s pet projects to die? Did you believe that the shot in the arm for automobile dealerships would be allowed to fade away? Did you think for one second that Americans would stop buying things they probably can’t afford?

Of course not. And that’s why Cash For Clunkers has been extended, to the tune of $2 billion taxpayer dollars. That will mean more payday loans with no faxing and short term loans for down payments, so it helps Personal Money Market, too.

Stimulate the economy, Mr. Obama!

Deb Price reports for The Detroit News that the Senate voted 60-37 and President Obama signed the bill this morning to turn the taxation switch and slam $2 billion more through the Cash For Clunkers program. By current estimate, this should keep the program going through at least Labor Day and fund about another 500,000 vehicle trade-ins. However, this will be the last time, say supporters of the measure. We’ll see about that last one.

“Now, more American consumers will have the chance to purchase newer, more fuel efficient cars and the American economy will continue to get a much-needed boost,” said the president. “Businesses across the country — from small auto dealerships and suppliers to large auto manufacturers — are putting people back to work as a result of this program.”

Breaking down the vote

In total, 51 Democrats, two independents and seven Republicans voted to extend Cash For Clunkers. On the opposite side of the measure, 33 Republicans and four Democrats said no. Two of the Democrats who helped drive the bill toward passing were Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin. They’re both from Michigan, which should surprise nobody, considering that Detroit has been the heart of the American auto industry almost since its inception.

“This will be a great weekend to go out and buy an automobile,” said Stabenow. “I would hope it’s an American-made automobile; in fact I would hope it’s a Michigan-made automobile.”

Dealers love it

There were six amendments on the table that could have put Cash For Clunkers in deep freeze until the House returned in a month to vote, but none of the amendments made their way off the Senate floor. However, there are still prominent senators who think the whole thing is a bad idea, like John McCain. He thinks it’s “an unfair giveaway of taxpayer dollars.”

Automakers are very happy that the majority of the Senate don’t share his opinion.

“Cash for clunkers is a resounding success,” said National Automobile Dealers Association Chairman John McEleney. General Motors Co. Sales VP Mark LaNeve said “Our customers and dealers appreciate Congress’ help in keeping the program’s momentum going and providing the stimulus to put more clean, fuel efficient vehicles on the road.”

But will $2 billion last until Labor Day?

Perhaps it is a more accurate prediction of the amount of money Cash For Clunkers will need than the initial $1 billion projection that was supposed to last all the way to November 1. We certainly know that the program has been popular. But if popularity continues to surge – and if the recession begins to let up and the economy improves – there is a possibility that Cash For Clunkers won’t even make it until Labor Day. However, if people who can afford to make car payments are using the program, then it doesn’t matter so much when the program ends, but that it was used as intended. The economy will be stimulated.

The demand has been tough for dealers to meet

Meeting the demand of consumers who want their Cash For Clunkers discount has been a challenge for participating dealers nationwide. “It’s unbelievable. I’ve been buying as much as I can,” said Alan Helfman, who owns three Houston, Texas dealerships. “We are having trouble getting the models that are big sellers.”

In some cases, the automakers are considering an increase in production. Ford hasn’t decided yet, and GM may be on the verge. Tom Stephens, Vice Chairman of Product Development at GM, confirmed as much to Price.

Consumers are loving the Ford Focus

Fuel efficiency is on people’s minds these days, and it’s no surprise. Gasoline remains expensive, and people are thinking about fueling costs over the life of their new vehicles. This fuel efficiency, coupled with good reviews, may be what has made the Ford Focus one of the most popular vehicles asked for in the Cash For Clunkers program.

Don't do this to your car. Take care of it so dealers can benefit! (Photo: huffingtonpost.com)

Saturn dealer Dan Jonuska told Price that the Ford dealer down the street from his Saturn store have run out of the Focus. He believes this has turned their attention toward his lot for a look at what Saturn’s offering. Currently there are around 75 vehicles on his lot, and he projects he’ll sell 30-40 of those in August alone. In July, he moved 20 cars.

“We may not be first on the list, but if somebody wants to take advantage of the program, we have plenty of cars to sell,” he said.

Some dealers are going above and beyond

Many of the vehicles being traded in are simply to nice to junk as Cash For Clunkers mandates. That’s why dealers like Dave Knittel of Charlotte Lincoln Mercury are buying them as trade-ins. They’re even paying more than the $4,500 max that Cash For Clunkers permits. However, if the cars traded in can benefit the dealers’ business, why shouldn’t they do something like this?

“We really got to look at some nice vehicles,” he said. “All these people bought cars; we just didn’t ‘clunk’ them.”

Do you need a loan to take advantage of Cash For Clunkers?

Down payments are down payments. If you need the help of an auto loan, you can apply for one right here, right now.

Rick Scott, multi-millionaire lover or Medicare fraud (Photo: open.salon.com)

If you’re wondering who is primarily responsible for organizing the barbaric efforts to sabotage the Democratic town halls across the nation, wonder no longer. The man’s name is Rick Scott, and he is in charge of the Web site Conservatives For Patients Rights. He is a multimillionaire ex-hospital CEO whose company was charged with the largest case of financial fraud committed against the government in United States history.

Yes, the former CEO of the Columbia/HCA hospital system was at the helm during a span of 10 years when his company defrauded Medicare for $1.7 billion dollars. They were found guilty and that amount has been repaid – yet the conservative GOP pick Rick Scott to lead them into battle for responsible medical spending? Payday loans with no faxing and short term loans used responsibly help in a pinch, but I’m talking responsibility on an entirely different level.

Something stinks here, and the people deserve to know

According to various sources, Scott’s company was so brazen that they stamped certain documents with warnings that those documents should not be shown to Medicare auditors!

The practice that appears to have gotten Rick Scott’s company in trouble is something known as “upcoding.” Essentially, hospitals under Rick Scott’s watch were treating patients for minor ailments, then charging the Medicare exorbitant fees for much more serious (imaginary) illnesses. In addition, they reported the costs for things like employee functions, holiday parties, catering and other things unrelated to the expense of treating patients. Knowing this, would you trust Rick Scott to tell you what is or isn’t too expensive when it comes to health care? And the man’s level of honesty! He told CNN’s Rick Sanchez (see video below) that he “had no idea” about upcoding.

Who funds Medicare, by the way?

It’s you! Taxpayers! If you didn’t know before, you know now. Rick Scott was at the helm of a company that stole massive amounts of money from the American people. And he is against Obamacare because he (and likely his buddies in the industry) want to maintain the status quo. Use your brain. If you know there’s going to be a Democratic town hall about healthcare in your area, organize like-minded friends and go there, if for no other reason than to fight back against the mob organized by dishonest multi-millionaires like Rick Scott.

Oh, here’s a little tidbit that you can think of what you will. Scott, a lawyer, was once a co-owner of the Texas Rangers baseball club… with George W. Bush.

Wait, receive bad care and pay handsomely… what’s not to hate?

According to Washington Post coverage, Scott is “using $5 million of his own money and up to $15 million more from supporters” to fund the screaming guerrilla resistance to any government-run program. Yet Scott had no problem working for a company that defrauded Medicare… which is in fact government-run insurance.

What people like Rick Scott and GOP poller Frank Luntz (who produced the 28-page memo that was recently discovered by the mainstream media) do distracts from the real issues on the table, said one senior Democratic staffer to the Post. Supporters of Obama’s plan point out the issues like long waits and shoddy care that the opposition point out are already problems in the U.S. under a private system. However, people also are receiving the benefit of either paying through the nose for care or staying home and developing long-term health problems because they don’t have insurance in the first place.

We deserve better than Rick Scott and his toadies

As if Americans would begin to die on the vine, Scott’s disciples claim that a health care system patterned after those in Canada or Great Britain would invite disaster. However, the Obama plan seeks a uniquely “American solution,” said Sen. Max Baucus to the Post. In all likelihood, this will mean a combination of the public and private system.

Single-payer insurance may be off the table, but that doesn’t mean that a reasonable compromise can’t be reached. However, leaving things mostly as they are now is entirely unreasonable, and Rick Scott should be ashamed for suggesting anything like that, considering his history. $1.7 billion isn’t a drop in the bucket, and upcoding is a serious problem that must be stopped. It’s not a situation where it’s only cheating if a hospital gets caught… it’s stealing money from the American people, people who sometimes need payday loans with no faxing, or short term loans.

And other crazy BK stories

BK: Too hot for employees to think clearly? (Photo: politicaloutsider.blogspot.com)

I’m not huge about eating in fast food restaurants. I may be huge because I eat fast food a bit too often, but that’s another story. If it’s a hot day and their air conditioning works, I’ll welcome the brief respite. Otherwise, count me out. Sickening decor, tables that aren’t clean, furniture that is uncomfortable, parents abusing their children and mentally handicapped day trippers insisting you play peek-a-boo with them do not make for a tolerable dining experience.

I’ve had experiences like that in a variety of chain restaurants, including Burger King. However, I’ve never encountered a situation like what went down in a Missouri Burger King. A barefoot baby in Burger King was ejected, family and all. The adorably barefoot six-month-old was a code violation that the store’s manager wouldn’t let go. From reports, he even threatened to call the police.

Which brings me to the main thing I don’t like about fast food restaurants

That would be the level of service (or lack thereof). Sure, I understand that the people working there aren’t paid very well for what is a dirty, exhausting job. But don’t people have pride anymore? Wherever you’re working, why not make the best of it and give it your all for as long as you’re there. If you don’t like your job, look for another one on your own time. If you have to go back to school to make that happen, then by all means do so. If you need a little financial boost to pay for books, payday loans with no faxing and short term loans are available.

The Burger King manager who threatened to call the cops on a six-month-old baby is at best customer service-challenged, at worst a malicious moron who smacks his lips at the power he has to deny service to patrons. Either way, he’s bad for business and Burger King has taken instructive action with the manager and staff regarding the “no shoes” policy.

I’m not the only one who thinks this

Amanda blogs at Baby Bangs that this had her and her husband laughing to tears. I find it funny as well, but the level of incompetence on the part of the manager also disturbs me.

Amanda then goes on to tell a little story that any parent of young children (myself included) has experienced. They were meeting grandma for lunch at a restaurant when they noticed that their very young son had managed to kick off his shoes as he was being buckled into his car seat back home. I’ve been there many times, particularly with my son, who is two years old. Yet this didn’t stop them from enjoying their lunch – and the wait staff didn’t have a cow over a small youngster without shoes.

That’s the way it should be. Considering that an infant isn’t walking around on those bare feet, they aren’t picking up those germs on the ground that the Burger King manager was surely worried would knock the fifth star off their restaurant rating. Of course, they could use payday loans with no faxing and short term loans to bribe the inspector – but I would NEVER condone such a thing. I also wouldn’t tell them that they can apply here.

What is the Burger King teaching these people?

Speaking of barefoot and Burger King, one store thought it would be a good idea to bring its employees together for a team-building exercise. I’m not talking about a softball game or three-legged relay race. I’m talking about taking off their shoes and walking on red hot coals.

Yes, the soles of BK staffers were sorely burned that day. Management’s goal was to inspire workers to “see that they could reach beyond their limits and achieve the impossible.” At least 12 of the staff members discovered was that it was impossible for them to avoid hospital treatment for first- and second-degree burns. Considering the sensitive place they suffered their burns, the employees were limited to wheelchairs for some time.

They even get barefoot robbers at Burger King

It's a MAN, baby! Now take off those shoes... (Photo: myhumors99.com)

Perhaps his lordship the Burger King could stand to supplement his security detail with a few more knights and knaves. What with an armed and barefoot cross-dressing criminal holding up a New Orleans BK store, I think the King needs to marshal his forces.

Yes, a man in a floral dress, wig and no shoes drove up to the drive-through window, climbed in through the window and robbed the store. He then climbed back out the drive-through window, got into his truck and drove away.

Authorities reported later that the man was a “genuine” cross dresser because his nails were painted, his wig was “well-made” and his necklace matched the dress he was wearing. Because it’s important to coordinate when you rob. Oddly enough, the same spokesman said the perpetrator was “pretty.”

Can’t get enough of your love, babe

So what have we learned here? Barefoot and Burger King don’t mix. But if you’re a little baby, you’re safe. However, you’re also probably not reading this payday loans with no faxing and short term loans blog if you’re an infant, either.

I am a father. (Photo: gandt.blogs.brynmawr.edu)

Being a parent can be an amazing journey. It can also be an exhausting one, particularly when it comes to handling situations like tantrums in public. I am a father or two young children, so I have firsthand experience dealing with some of the difficult times in a young child’s life. Being so unable to process strong emotions that you lash out in mind and body is a difficult place to be, but it is a place that every child will visit at some point in their development.

The rainbow of tantrums

There are as many theories about how to handle tantrums as there are are breeds of dog. I have found the book “The Science of Parenting” by Dr. Margot Sunderland to be of particular value in my quest to become a better father. Buy a copy. If you need money, try payday loans and payday loans with no faxing.

The book advises that when you are in a public place and your child is stuck in the middle of an implacable tantrum – and I say “stuck” in a tantrum instead of “throwing a tantrum” because I subscribe to the theory that kids aren’t always trying to manipulate their parents – you must act. Not in a way that is inappropriately forceful, but in a way that shows the child that you can handle the situation and that they are not alone.

Not alone?

That’s right. When they’re very young, children have not developed the ability to regulate the toxins that build up in the brain when they’re under stress. They cry and scream because that’s the only mechanism they have. But if a tantrum is extended and the child is truly inconsolable (not throwing a “Little Nero“), the toxin buildup can actually cause lasting negative change to brain chemistry. A parent needs to gently but firmly remove the child from the public place and try to find a quiet space where they can help the child calm down. Such is a parent’s job. Old school discipline (or ignoring the problem) was never optimal.

Mom drags kid on leash: not gentle, more than firm

Tom Henderson blogs for Parent Dish that mother Melissa Catherine Smith-Means, 37, of Gaylesville, Alabama was arrested April 21, 2000 for first-degree cruelty to children. As you can see in the video below, she dragged her child through a consumer electronics store in Paris, Georgia. Clearly Smith-Means was fed up with something in the child’s behavior, but she violated the trust her child has in her as caretaker. She took her anger out on the youngster. It’s not something a parent should ever do to a child, and Smith-Means is paying an appropriate price.

Henderson’s position on the matter is that yes, Smith-Means acted inappropriately, but he softens his stance with a bit of understanding. “I reserve judgment,” he says. “We have a court system to determine what was really happening in that store — and in Smith-Means’ head. I can well imagine a mother who ran out of options. Perhaps she told a difficult child that he would either come peacefully or she would drag him out.”

And that means she HAD to do it?

I’m horrified by that kind of reasoning. I know that’s not exactly what Henderson is saying, but there are parents out there who practice this kind of consistently hard discipline. I’ve seen it happen from afar and I’ve seen it up close. Once, my wife and I even reported the caregiver to Child Protective Services, which is not a step that I take lightly.

What is it that you’re attempting to do with Smith-Means, Mr. Henderson? Why are you even attempting to offer an explanation? So that outraged adults can experience some kind of closure? This has everything to do with the child and the violence inflicted upon him. That’s why Melissa Catherine Smith-Means is and should be in jail.

Love your child

(Photo: graphics.iparenting.com)

I’m happy to hear that you’ve never done anything with your own son like what Smith-Means did to hers. Sure, parents are human and they will make mistakes. But as a parent, you must make a commitment that you will never raise a hand to them in violence. By doing so, you rob them of their childhood, possibly more. Neither psychological torture nor brute force are acceptable ways to discipline a child. Levity can be a welcome ingredient in teaching a child in a difficult situation, but that kind of gentle teasing hardly constitutes psychological torture. It’s up to the parent to know the difference. If they don’t, they need to seek growth by reading books, attending parenting classes and possibly even speaking with a counselor. A child deserves as much care.

Do the ends justify the means? Henderson, you can’t be serious!

I can’t believe how Henderson concludes his horror story of a blog post. He asks readers this question: “If the child was acting out, do the ends justify the means?” As a father, I can’t imagine a universe where such treatment of a child – or even a dog – is justified. If a parent hasn’t learned how to control their own anger and think that an evil child is attempting to persecute them for trying to find a little “me” time at the story, then that parent needs a lot of help.

Apparently, Chuck Norris took too many blows to the head during his climactic fight with Bruce Lee in “Way of the Dragon.” That’s the only way to explain his link to one of the most pointless mass hallucinations in far right wing-nut history. He doesn’t seem to be able to tell the difference between “refusing to release a birth certificate” and “it’s already been released, move on and go play Karate Commandos with Mike Huckabee.”

Why don’t you show me your karate certificate, Chuck?

I claim that as my Constitutional right! If you require money from me to print it, I’ll take out payday loans with no faxing and cash advances if need be.

The blog Think Progress draws our attention to a column written by Mr. Norris. Couched as a “Happy Birthday” message for President Obama, Norris officially joins the now-sputtering “Birther” movement by agreeing with CNN’s Lou Dobbs that Obama should produce a birth certificate that has… already been produced.

Denial that Obama could have been elected is childish…

Some would say that it even smacks of dissociative mental disorder at this point, as the documents have been published. Obama was born in Hawaii, which is one of the United States. He’s eligible to be president and has a lot of work to do, so let’s move on.

Is Walker Texas Ranger unfit for his duties due to a mental disorder?

I won’t say it, but I’ll say it

So Chuck Norris wants Barack Obama to – what? – hold another Beer Summit at which he will produce the original document? Why is this important? The document has been posted online, straight from the State of Hawaii’s Health Department. What shred of dignity does Norris think he’s saving by saying that while he thinks it is “a bit of a groundless stretch” to doubt that Obama is from Hawaii, Obama should produce documentation? Chuck, you aren’t a baby. You’re Chuck Norris. Find something better to do with your time.

Oh, you say it’s your Constitutional right?

“Refusing to post your original birth certificate is an unwise political and leadership decision that is enabling the ‘birther’ controversy,” says Doubting Chuck. In actuality, since the Obama birth certificate has been posted, Chuck Norris is one of the people enabling the controversy. “The nation you are called to lead is experiencing a growing swell of conspirators who are convinced that you are covering up something,” Norris continues. Unfortunately (no, scratch that, fortunately… I think Norris has been ridiculous for years), Chuck Norris is one of those conspirators. And Obama is sending those people a message by moving on to important issues. He has fulfilled his requirement of having been born in this country. Now he’s working to fix our country. You’re simply in the way.

What does authentic mean anymore?

The link I provided above shows you a digitally scanned image of President Obama’s birth certificate. Are you claiming that it’s Photoshopped, Chuck? Is that why you’re flying into this non-argument on Lou Dobbs’ coattails? Because of questions of authenticity? What about the possibility that a paper document could also be altered? Is anyone who they say they are? Can we trust anyone? Let’s drown important politics in misplaced paranoia, why don’t we!

Dobbs’ own TV network has killed this story as being one that is no longer legitimate, which is why Dobbs now saves his ranting for his radio program. There is no “document issue.” Barack Obama is not an undocumented immigrant who is ineligible to serve as president. Barack Obama is President of the United States of America, and Chuck Norris, Lou Dobbs and the rest of the Birther movement ought to go chase windmills somewhere. Perhaps their bodies could be harnessed to produce the kind of green energy we need. Run faster, Chuck!

Thank you, Mr. Clinton.
Not that Hillary couldn’t have gotten the job done. She’s more than capable. But Bill had already established a relationship with the North Korean government; they’ve even requested to meet with him specifically a few times over the past 15 years.

What job am I talking about? After “exhaustive conversation” with Kim Jong Il in Pyongyang, North Korea, Bill Clinton has managed to secure amnesty for American journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee. Ling and Lee had been detained in North Korea since March. The women allegedly crossed the China-North Korea border inadvertently, but in crossing without authorization, they violated North Korean law. Their sentence was 12 years of “reform through labor.”

For amnesty, a special pardon

Heejin Koo reports for Bloomberg that not only did Mr. Clinton’s negotiations with Kim Jong Il secure the freedom of the American journalists, but it may have made headway toward deescalation of North Korea’s growing nuclear weapons program. Despite the fact that negotiating terms of amnesty constitutes an acknowledgment that Ling and Lee violated North Korean law, the results will no doubt be more than satisfactory for their friends, family and anyone else concerned with freedom from oppression.

Yu Ho Yeol of Korea University in Seoul said that Bill Clinton’s successful exchange with Kim Jong Il “will certainly serve as a turning point in the U.S.-North Korean dialogue.” I’d like to suggest that they import cash advances and payday loans with no faxing, but one thing at a time.
It is true that Bill Clinton is an excellent speaker and negotiator. His previous exchanges with North Korea may have made the difference, but there is a rumor circulated by North Korean Central News Agency that Clinton had been empowered to deliver a “special message” from President Obama. However, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs denied this.

This is not the first successful visit a former U.S. head of state has made to North Korea, however. In 1994, former President Jimmy Carter met with Kim Jong Il and was able to negotiate a freeze of the country’s nuclear activity at the time. This was followed up by visits from President Clinton in 2000 and then Secretary of State Madeline Albright, both of which were for the same purpose as Carter’s visit. However, it was revealed in 2002 that North Korea had resumed their nuclear program in secret, and testing commenced by 2006. The testing culminated in at least a dozen missiles being tested this year, despite international pressure against such action. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton obtained U.N. sanctions against North Korea as a result.

Calling the “New York channel”

Bill and Il (Photo: Bloomberg.com)

Kim Jong Il and North Korea had stated openly that they would not return to the table for nuclear talks with the U.S., China, Russia, South Korea and Japan. But just last week, they expressed interest in negotiations involving Bill Clinton or “a high-ranking Obama administration official,” according to South Korea’s Yonhap News.

Apparently much like the Bat Phone, Kim Jong Il’s administration had a kind of hotline that may have been established through Bill Clinton. They used it to contact Congressman Bill Richardson on multiple occasions. Richardson had previously been President Clinton’s contact at the United Nations, and he was able to negotiate the release of an American pilot who’d been shot down, as well as the release of a U.S. citizen who’d been accused of crossing into North Korea in 1996. Much like Laura Ling and Euna Lee, this citizen had been accused of spying.

Does Bill Clinton have the magic touch when it comes to amnesty? Depending upon who you ask, he definitely has something that’s magical…

Will the “Wall-E” future come true?

Traveling through an ocean garbage dump the size of Texas (Photo: seacat.wordpress.com)

In the Pixar film “Wall-E,” pollution has run rampant, to the point where the Earth is uninhabitable. Much of this pollution comes straight from the waste inherent in our high-speed consumer culture of convenience. As a result of their sloth, humankind have been forced to evacuate the planet and live a complacent life among the stars.

And what should we learn?

The movie is meant to draw our attention to the responsibility we have to maintain our world for future generations. There will come a time when we must take to the stars and look for new places to continue the spreading of our race. I’m not saying it will be exactly like “Wall-E,” “Dune” or any other science fiction stories we’re familiar with, but astronomic events will eventually rob Earth of its ability to sustain life. There are numerous astronomers and scientists who believe this, so I’m not a lone voice in the wilderness here. I’d bet short term loans and payday loans with no faxing on it, if I were a betting man…

But let’s not rush to muck things up!

That’s exactly what the Great Pacific Garbage Patch represents: our lack of care, moving us ever closer to the day when life will be choked away by all the garbage. I include apocalypse/”Rapture”-type cults among this garbage… it’s just garbage that chokes out the intellect instead of birds, plants, fish and asthmatics.

Paul Rogers reports for MercuryNews.com that scientists are doing all they can to learn more about “one of the most glaring examples of waste and environmental pollution on Earth,” the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s a place 1,000 miles west of California and north of Hawaii where all the trash from our sewers and storm drains flows. It’s “a massive vortex of floating plastic trash estimated by some researchers to be twice the size of Texas,” says Rogers.

It’s everywhere

Mary Crowley, co-founder of the nonprofit expedition Project Kaisei, believes that it’s high time something be done about this serious threat to life in the Pacific Ocean.

“More and more now, you see signs of marine debris and plastic everyplace. You can be at very remote beaches, and you’ll see plastic bottles, barrels, toys and a lot of plastic fishing nets,” she said.

I say more effort should be made to clean up such waste and recycle it, whenever possible. If you want to start such an effort in your community, take that first step. It may take a little bit of money to get it off the ground (biodegradable advertising signs, a Web site, etc), and if you need a cash boost to get that going, payday loans with no faxing and short term loans are available right here.

Find a new use for plastic – fast!

It’s unclear exactly when the Great Pacific Garbage Patch began to form or what its exact boundaries are, but it is know that the plastic that forms the bulk of it will not decompose in the traditional sense. Exposure to sunlight will eventually break it down into small pieces, but that could simply make it more difficult to clean up. Truly, many scientists believe that cleaning up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch will be impossible. The last hope may be that it can be converted into some sort of fuel.

Studying the harm done

Crowley and other researchers like Miriam Goldstein aim to study the size of the garbage patch and how it affects ocean wildlife.

“We are going to try to target the highest-plastic areas we see to begin to understand the scope of the problem,” said Goldstein. “The team of graduate students will be studying everything from phytoplankton to zooplankton to small midwater fish.”

The danger of confetti

That’s what the plastic essentially breaks down into. According to Rogers, there are billions of pieces of tiny plastic floating just below the surface of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Not only are the smaller pieces much harder to collect, but they’re much more likely to be consumed by wildlife like sea birds and fish. The plastic then fills their stomachs without providing nutrients. This often leads to death of the animal. Furthermore, plastic pieces can absorb toxic chemicals, which migrate up the food chain and eventually make it to humans.

And more frightening bits

Plastic fishing line, some of them from drift nets that are several tons in weight, entangle thousands of sea turtles, whales and marine mammals each year. In addition to this, plastic junk carried by the currents of the North Pacific Gyre include cigarette lighters, floats, toothbrushes, bottle caps and more. Some of the junk is decades old.

To put the amount of waste in perspective, scientists point out that for every pound of plankton in the center Pacific Ocean, there are as many as six pounds of marine litter as seen in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. That’s about 46,000 pieces of plastic litter for each square mile of the oceans, according to a 2006 United Nations study.

What can we do?

Full cleanup may be impossible, so in the time we have left on Earth before space travel makes a mass exodus possible, we must be responsible. Try to recycle your plastic waste, or only use products that break down in the environment. Dispose of waste properly, too – don’t just chuck it down the drain or into the ocean. Also, whenever the opportunity comes about to help fund scientific studies and projects designed to help combat such problems, donate if you can.

If you were worried like we were that Cash For Clunkers was suspended due to lack of funds, worry not. It’s halfway to being extended, thanks to a House vote that approved $2 billion more dollars for the program. Now the program might last… a couple more weeks!

Because people are all over this deal

After that, you may need payday loans with no faxing or other short term loans to make up the difference the $3,500 or $4,500 Cash For Clunkers would have brought you with an approved trade-in. But for now, it appears that Cash For Clunkers may be extended. So long as your car’s not on the Cash For Clunkers list and meets the general qualifications, you can apply for the trade-in credit.

But will the Senate agree?

Aaron Smith reports for CNN that the House voted 316-109 to divert $2 billion from a U.S. Department of Energy program loan guarantee program. What will Secretary of Energy Steven Chu think of this? Furthermore, will the Senate be able to come to a consensus quickly? People want those cars they can’t really afford, you know…

Considering the overwhelming response to the Cash For Clunkers program (and tremendous activity on the less-than-able Cash For Clunkers Website), it’s no shock that the government has so far responded with urgency.

Obama is happy with the vote

“I’m pleased about the progress made in the House today about the cash for clunkers program,” said President Obama just before the approving vote. He has presented the Cash For Clunkers program as a stirring success: “I’m happy to report that it has already succeeded beyond our expectations. It’s working so well that there are legitimate concerns that the original funds might already be exhausted.”

But for your information, this wouldn’t have been a problem if the original $4 billion proposal for Cash For Clunkers had been instituted. But whoever said government was good at getting things right the first time?

Is this thing right?

Despite the obvious demand for Cash For Clunkers exceeding the supply of money, the CARS.gov Web site still showed that $780 was available for the program as of the morning that talk of suspending the program began. Again, getting things right the first time is rare. Yet I’m surprised that the government did not anticipate how many people would jump at this shiny new automobile program that’s sure to send many consumers closer to bankruptcy.

At least dealers are remaining cautious. More and more of them are requiring people to sign statements that they’ll return their new cars if government funding dries up. Which it still may do if the Senate cannot agree on the $2 billion extension.

Does my car qualify for Cash For Clunkers?

Think first... can you afford a new car, even with Cash For Clunkers? (Photo: westcoastsuccesswordpress.com)

Everyone wants to know. So you should know that vehicles that have been bought after July 1, 2009 are eligible for refund vouchers of either $3,500 or $4,500, depending upon how much of a mpg improvement the consumer can make with a new vehicle. If your car gets 18 mpg (combined highway and city) or less and is younger than 25 years old (and does not appear on the list I mentioned in the second paragraph above… CLICK HERE), it may just be eligible for Cash For Clunkers. Follow the link for more details.

The overall goal of the Cash For Clunkers program is to spark sales in the sagging auto industry while getting more fuel-efficient, greener vehicles on the road, thus saving consumers money on gas and helping the environment. It comes at the perfect time for America’s domestic automobile industry, as the credit crunch of the recession and massive bailouts have damaged confidence in its viability. CNN cites sales figures for June 2009, with fell to 9.7 million. That, according to CNN, is well below the pace of years past.

If you need your own personal short term bailout, to the tune of short term loans and payday loans with no faxing, apply here now!

If you’re the owner of one of the cars on the following Cash For Clunkers list, I’m sorry. You’re simply out of luck if you had planned to take advantage of the up to $4,500 voucher good toward the purchase of a new, more fuel-efficient car or truck. Perhaps now you’ll be needing payday loans with no faxing or other short term loans in order to make the down payment on a new car. If so, Personal Money Market may be able to help you.

USA TODAY reports that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) made these changes behind the scenes, just before the Cash For Clunkers program 2009 was about to begin. They have expressed no remorse over any difficulty they may have caused consumers. In fact, they have justified their last second changes by saying that they were operating under a deadline where the first day of the program for consumers was their “drop dead” date.

By way of review

For those of you who don’t know, Cash For Clunkers is a government program that enables consumers to trade in cars that are not fuel efficient (18 mpg or less combined city and highway driving) and are less than 25 years old. Acceptable trade-ins next consumers $3,500 or $4,500 for a new vehicle that gets at least 10 mpg more than their trade-in car or truck.

Here’s the hit list

There are more than 70 different cars that have fallen by the wayside when it comes to the Cash For Clunkers list. Thanks, EPA! I’ll separate the vehicles here by year for your convenience:
