A cash advance can keep you going until your next payday. (Photo: flickr.com)

With all of the financial turmoil that American families are facing right now, cash advances have become a way to get the money you need, when you need it. Read on to better understand a few of the main reasons why people turn to a cash advance in times of need, as well as how you can take advantage of this same benefit.

Main Reasons for a Cash Advance

The most common reason people apply for a cash advance is to avoid overdraft fees and credit card late payments. The fees for an overdraft check or a late credit card payment range from $26 to $56. In addition to large fees, being late on your credit card can have serious negative effects on your credit score. So, using a cash advance in these circumstances can really aid you in saving money and protecting your credit score.

When Surprises Strike, Cash Advances are There

An additional reason for someone to apply for a cash advance is to help cover an unexpected bill. Whether it is an unexpected car repair or even a home repair, cash advances are always there to help you get the money you need. Cash advances are fast, reliable and typically do not require a credit check.

What is a Cash Advance and How Do I Get My Money?

A cash advance is a type of short-term loan that usually requires repayment on or before your next payday. Loan amounts range from $100 to $1,500, and there are generally no credit checks required when applying for your cash advance. After your loan has been approved, the lender will electronically transfer the funds to your bank account. In some cases, you can receive your online cash advance in as little as two hours.

Word has gotten out about what will be on the cover of tomorrow’s new issue of People Magazine: It’s a Saved by the Bell reunion, complete with Zach Morris, A.C. Slater, Jessie Spano, Lisa Turtle and Kelly Kapowski.

What, no Screech? That’s right, no Screech, no Samuel Powers, no Dustin Diamond. Official word is that Diamond told People that “he’s no longer close with his former castmates and did not want to join them on the cover.” Side note: the former Screech is currently working on a tell-all book with some of the show’s writers called “Behind the Bell.” So I guess he is really just saving up his secrets.

People teaser

Shots of the People Magazine Saved by the Bell cover are widely circulating. People Magazine promises that behind that modern-day shot of the Bayside crew, you’ll find interviews with Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Tiffani Thiessen and Lark Voorhies.

Word is the child stars talk about their hair, favorite show moments and how their lives have changed since the end of the show. No talk about online cash advances? Oh well. I guess some subjects are just sexier than others.

Not so busy after all

After Jimmy Fallon brought Gosselaar onto his show — in full Zack Morris mode — and put out an open invitation for the other main characters to come together for a reunion on his show, some trash talk started. People said Tiffani Thiessen had blown off Fallon’s invitation because she was afraid a reunion would highlight her lack of work in recent years.

I have no idea whether that is true or not, but she did make this funny video in response:

Tiffani Thiessen is Busy from Tiffani Thiessen

But, it appears that in between cat wrangling, working with NASA and looking hot by the pool, she managed to find time for People Magazine’s Saved By the Bell reunion.

Gotta love the Bell!

People Magazine has been in the marketing game for a long time, and I have no doubt Friday’s issue will sell a record number of copies. Not “most copies sold ever” but maybe “most copies sold during the fourth week in July this decade.”

People has managed to leak just enough information about the Saved by the Bell reunion to get former viewers of the show interested. I should know. It says there is dirt in there about “relationships” between the cast members! OK, so maybe I won’t really shell out out the money to buy a magazine that everyone will be blogging about by Friday at noon, but I will definitely read it while I am standing in line at the grocery store.

And, yes, when “Behind the Bell” comes out, it’ll be at the top of my reading list. Beware, die-hard Saved by the Bell fans, Vulture has us all figured out:

Behind the Bell … promises to detail “sexual escapades among cast members, drug use, and hardcore partying,” and for those of us who spent untold hours in our formative years memorizing “I’m So Excited” and the entire back catalog of Zack Attack, this is the greatest book deal in the history of the universe.

Why do we have to live under constant threat of crime?

Microsoft has been slaving away and has finally delivered Windows 7. This is supposed to erase the damage caused by Vista. Will this version work okay in my old steam driven computer or will I have to change that for the latest model as well? I’m always nervous when a change like this looms and is a potential threat to my very stable way of life. Not that I’m against change, but the older one gets, after age 5, that is, the longer it takes to settle down after a major change. For me, any change on the computer is major.

Change

Even the Personal Money Store brought change with it. The change I made from robbing the cookie jar in the kitchen where my wife thinks she hides money successfully to taking Online Cash Advances was a change that I had to get used to. It wasn’t a difficult change but it was change – for the better, I hope.

I look forward to installing Windows 7. I’m not sure exactly how it will help me but I’m ready to try it. Perhaps it will push my production up…

Others are waiting too

Guess who else is waiting for Windows 7 with bated breath? Cybercriminals, that’s who! These people, part of the virus, scam, spam and pirate crowd are out there, circling around, waiting for anyone to drop the slightest means of squeezing out a dollar, as long as it’s not legal, are a blight on our society. Not for them, anything that’s legal – their minds are focused on the dishonest and fraudulent and causing damage. On the other hand, they have had a major hand in the development of anti-virus and anti-spam software, original software checking programs, anti-copy systems and a host of other anti-criminal stuff, a whole secondary computer industry, so to speak.

I buy original

I used to use a copy of software that a friend gave me, but once I started writing and doing work for clients and paying tax on the proceeds, I went legal and bought original software. My partner, the tax department, paid his share as well.

But not everyone does that. I still receive odd requests for a copy of this or that program and I simply refer the asker to the computer store.

The latest cybercriminals

According to a spokesman at Microsoft, “In the last few days we’ve seen reports of illegitimate distributions of the release candidate of our latest Windows operating system, Windows 7, being offered in a way that is designed to infect a customer’s PC with malware.” Microsoft estimates that about a third of their worldwide customers – and they are in every country around the world – may be using fake copies of Windows.

On the other hand, Microsoft, the theft and pirating of your products puts you in good company with the car manufacturers, the clothing copiers, the watchmakers and just about every other legitimate business there is. Take it as a sign that you have made it, you have arrived and you are worth stealing.

Microsoft will continue to offer limited ‘extended’ support until 2014.

Did you see this announcement in today’s papers? Well, I have a few words to say on the subject. My first question to Microsoft is, “what if I’m not Mainstream?”

You could say I’m not Mainstream

The truth is that I am a “Backwater” operation. It’s only you and the income tax department that think I am Mainstream and treat me as such. My organization is me, one 2002 computer, one 2005 computer and a 2006 laptop. The fax is steam driven.

I need XP support

My organization works day and night and produces a fair amount of financial, engineering and anti-contamination output. It runs happily on your XP software and this morning coped easily with tests for the presence of Ethanol and Sodium Metasilicate in hospital operating theater environments. I cannot believe that whatever you plan to replace XP with, will do any better.

Please do not force me into taking huge Online Cash Advances from the Personal Money Store to replace my XP.

It’s a conspiracy

The whole XP YP ZP thing is a huge conspiracy between Microsoft and Intel. These companies employ loads of people and they have to keep finding work for them. Intel looks at XP and says, we could make that go a lot faster if we added another gizmo to the chip and turned it on its back. In comes R&D, tests all the combinations and says right, it works. So they make the new chips and market them as “faster than the human eye can see”. They passed the point of “faster than the human hand can type about 20 years ago”. The new computer comes out. It has ‘Intel Inside’ and ‘Made in China’ outside. And this baby is fast! My typing speed remains constant at 30 miles an hour. I buy a desktop and a laptop. Yes, Payday Loans.

Microsoft sees this and says: what a pity to waste all this old XP stuff on a Ferrari computer, let’s jack up our software to Mach II. And they do. They’re good and they can actually do anything. So I buy XP Mach II but I still type at 30 miles an hour.

The XP Mach II is expensive and I take a Payday Loan. Income Tax frowns at this unnecessary waste of good tax money.

The plot thickens

Intel checks out XP Mach II and says: hey there’s a great opportunity here to turn the chip sideways and add a thingamajig underneath. Let’s do that! It will drive the speed up exponentially. R&D and the backroom boys go to work and the new computer comes out. It has ‘Intel Inside’ and ‘Made in China’ outside. This baby is not fast, it’s lightning on wheels. I buy a desktop and a laptop. Payday Loans again. My typing speed remains constant at 30 miles an hour.

Microsoft sits back and watches and then it says. Hey, guess what! The new Intel thing is so fast that we can rewrite XP Mach II, zap it up to XP Mach III. It’ll be unbeatable. I take the Payday Loan, thumb my nose at Income Tax and install XP Mach III. I give it a test drive. Wow it’s great! My typing speed is 30 miles an hour!

The bad news

You’ve seen the bad news already: ‘Mainstream’ Support for XP Ends Today

Microsoft will continue to offer limited ‘extended’ support until 2014.

Cheers for the winner – Payday Loans.

Don’t let the banks pass anything on to you under the covers

As banks mergers take in response to the recent economic fallout, it may cause unwanted trouble for consumers.

In this article by CNN Money, three points are presented to make consumers aware of the new reality with today’s banking.

Cover your bases for a sound transition

What is your bank costing you? Do you need online cash advances?

First point that was mentioned, were the fees. We are all familiar with the banking industries fees, but we should be extra careful now however, as the costs accrued during consolidation are often passed on to the consumer in some form of fees. Expect to see overdraft fees and or your monthly service fees rise.

Secondly consumers are encouraged to know the risks. From and investing standpoint, be prepared to see your rates drop on deposits. You may also be required to take sustain a higher minimum balance within your accounts to avoid penalty fees. Higher interest rates are also to be expected on any loans that take out.

Thirdly, make sure to study your monthly bank statements for any change in fees or terms. Re-evaluate any other services your are currently enrolled in with your bank such as credit cards or insurance policies for any suspicious changes.

If you are use to borrowing against a line of credit for personal or business needs, be sure to prepare yourself for changes as they may be cut back. If you are still finding yourself struggling to make ends meet, you can apply for online cash advances to help you get back on your feet.
