Image from Flickr.

There are plenty of sites out there that will find the best deals on plane tickets for you. Airfare Watchdog, Cheap Tickets, Orbitz and Expedia are just a few of these services, and we can add Cheap O Air to that list.

Cheap O Air works the same way these other travel sites work. If you punch in your travel plans, it pulls up a list of prices for tickets starting with the least expensive. Normally, I wouldn’t recommend using no fax payday loans with no credit check to buy a plane ticket unless it’s an emergency. However, in some cases you could end up saving money if you buy a ticket that’s only on sale for a short time or is a really phenomenal price. Airlines’ prices usually go up a little bit every day for specific tickets, and sometimes they can jump considerably two to three weeks before the flight.

Did you know not all airlines are listed?

I have noticed that web sites such as Cheap Tickets, Cheap O Air and Expedia don’t include ticket prices for all of the flights available. I looked for the same flight on these three sites and got results for flights operated by Delta Airlines, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and United Airlines.

However, Southwest Airlines also serves the airport I live near, and if you want to know the prices for Southwest Airlines you must go directly to the Southwest Airlines site. Cheap O Air and other ticket-pricing sites don’t post Southwest Airlines flights, and I’d imagine the same applies to other regional airlines.

Factor in extra fees

When I compared the flight prices I found on Cheap O Air to Southwest Airlines prices, it turned out Southwest didn’t have less expensive tickets anyway. Southwest has been known to run some crazy promotions for tickets as low as $25. Passengers can also save money because Southwest doesn’t charge passengers for checking bags.

You must factor in the cost of checking luggage if you have more stuff than you can carry on the plane. Find out how much an airline charges for checking bags and make sure you include that in the cost when deciding which plane ticket to buy. For example, a round-trip ticket for a flight I looked up on Southwest cost $33 more than a Delta flight, but Delta charges for checking bags. So if I needed to check luggage the cheaper flight could end up being more expensive.

Do your homework

The internet has made it fast and easy for people to find pretty much anything they need in just seconds. I definitely think that if you live near an airport that operates a regional airline and those prices don’t show up on Cheap O Air or other sites like it, it is worth the couple of extra minutes it takes to check and compare prices.

After all, maybe you’ll get lucky and the airline not listed on Cheap O Air will be having a sale or offering some type of extras or promotions that will save you money. Web sites like Cheap O Air can save you time, but make sure you’re not missing out on all of your options.

Does he also need no fax payday loans with no credit check? (Photo: flickr.com)

If you’re familiar with what ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) does to “serve” American society, then you know that they’ve managed to do a great deal of harm in the name of “social justice.” Not only did they play a large role in greasing the wheels for the subprime mortgage crisis (leaving many reaching for no fax payday loans with no credit check), allegedly conspire in multiple cases of voter fraud and actively encourage former home owners to break the law, but now they’re encouraging certain members of society to lie to the IRS and receive benefits on the taxpayers’ dime.

What members of society am I talking about? I’m referring to a certain group of velvet-garbed matrons of pleasure, living the street life. There’s big pimpin’ at the Baltimore ACORN office tonight, as the organization is instructing pimps and prostitutes to lie to the IRS – and showing them how.

Yes, my name is Chocolate Rocco and these young girls from El Salvador are all my dependents

FOX News reports that the Andrew Breitbart Web site BigGovernment.com broke the video that exposed this less than reputable ACORN action. The pimp and prostitute seen in the video were actually plants used to expose ACORN and its reprehensible nature. Clearly, the pair is being encouraged to lie to the Internal Revenue Service so that the pimp can claim underage girls from Central America as dependents.

The pimp is James O’Keefe, a 25-year-old independent filmmaker. The prostitute is “Kenya,” who is 20. They presented ACORN staffers with a proposal in which they wished to obtain housing so that they could operate a prostitution ring.

This is ACORN’s idea of social justice?

America was a nation of laws the last time I checked. Regardless of what my feelings are about whether or not prostitution should be a legal enterprise anywhere in America, it is clear that the law currently considers it a crime. If ACORN wants to participate in voter fraud and aid in brothel activity, they should be made subject to the laws of the land. If there weren’t so many broad-based laws and loopholes, I’d hope they’d also be prosecuted for bullying banks (along with Self-Help, Inc.) into dishing out subprime mortgage loans many recipients surely couldn’t repay. And if they’re going to participate in the next census, I wonder if they’ll be counting legal homosexual unions? Or will they count as three-fifths of a person as slaves did back in 1787?

ACORN says it’s a sham

[apply_button float="right"]

And as we know, they’re extremely trustworthy.

Scott Levenson, a spokesman for ACORN, claimed to FOX that “the portrayal is false and defamatory… (They) tried to pull this at other offices and failed. ACORN wants to see the full video before commenting.” So it could be real but they want to see the video before commenting? I’m sorry, Mr. Levenson, but your organization has no credibility.

It’s hard to be a pimp, but ACORN makes it easier

First of all, manipulating the numbers helps. “Kenya” tells an ACORN employee that she makes around $8,000 a month ($96,000 per year). The morally flexible ACORN employee suggests that the annual income be written as $9,600 instead. It’s that easy: just drop a zero! Oh, and list your occupation as “freelance performing artist.” The ACORN staffer informs Kenya that dancing is considered an art, but the honest pimp exclaims “It’s not dancing, trust me.”

Then there’s the matter of 13 underage girls from El Salvador. The pimp is very open about bringing them in to work as prostitutes, and while the ACORN employee points out that that would be illegal, she nonetheless suggests they can be claimed as dependents. Essentially, she gives the pimp a “wink-wink, nudge-nudge,” then tells him not to give up information he isn’t asked for. If the girls are under 16, they can’t legally work in Maryland anyway, so the system sees them as invisible in that regard.

“So it’s like they don’t even exist?” Kenya asks the unscrupulous ACORN employee.

Now they’re on the same wavelength!

Ever the helpful community organization, ACORN then advises the pimp not to list all 13 girls as dependents, as it would attract suspicion. “You are gonna use three of them,” was the advice the pimp received. “They are gonna be under 16, so you is eligible to get child tax credit and additional child tax credit.”

Gee, thanks ACORN! Can I have fries with that?

Ever the salespeople for their highly respectable organization, the ACORN folks even went so far as to sell some of their other services to these clearly well-paid clients with lots of dependents to take care of. They’re encouraged to join the ACORN network and attend home buyer seminars. These seminars are – you guessed it – funded by taxpayers!

Perhaps I’m in the wrong line of work

O’Keefe told FOX he was “shocked” by home much assistance ACORN was prepared to give him in his prostitution ruse. Not only was he not thrown out of the office, but the ACORN employees went to great pains to help him and his girls. Evading taxes, skirting federal tax laws… all in a day’s work for the rotten ACORN, it seems.

If I need money, I don’t pretend to be a pimp and attempt to defraud Americans. In a pinch, I’ve tried no fax payday loans with no credit check. They’re definitely convenient and the repayment terms are easy. I wonder if ACORN loses any sleep at night wondering if pimps and prostitutes will be paying back the American people for their fraudulent schemes? Free service would be a start, but I’d want much more than that…

Toys R Us is getting in on the clunker craze

If you’ve been wishing you could get a better crib, car seat, or stroller than the one you have now — without having to first go online and type “no fax payday loans no credit check” into your Google search bar — now is your chance to upgrade while saving a little payday cash. From August 28 through September 20, all Babies R Us and Toys R Us stores across the nation will be offering discounts on replacement products to shoppers who trade in used cribs and other baby gear.

Unlike the popular Cash for Clunkers Program (the Car Allowance Rebate System Act, or CARS) and the much-anticipated federal rebates program for appliances, the baby-gear promotion has nothing to do with the economic-stimulus bill. Cash for Clunker Cribs coasts conveniently on the tailwind of the federal rebate programs, but it’s a private promotion offered by Toys R Us Inc. Shoppers who trade in used cribs, car seats, bassinets, strollers, travel systems, play stations, or high chairs will receive 20% off the purchase price of new replacement items from selected manufacturers.

“Safety” comes first, but “used” is the operative term

The company is positioning the sale as a push for children’s safety, but your trade-in doesn’t have to be unsafe or recalled by the manufacturer to entitle you to the discount. Trade-in products only have to be “used” to qualify, but “safety” is the company’s catchword. In a recent CNN interview, chief executive Jerry Storch sounded like a candidate for a no-fax payday loan when he said, “We are all looking for ways to stretch our dollars, but in doing so, children’s safety should not be compromised,” adding that it is important to be “vigilant about potentially unsafe children’s items that may still be in the marketplace.”

More than 100 unsafe products so far this year

Now is a great time to upgrade the cat's cradle, too

According to Kids in Danger, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children by improving children’s product safety, 103 baby products including cribs, strollers and toys have been recalled so far this year. In the CNN article, Nancy Cowles, spokeswoman for the advocacy group says, “The [Toys R Us] trade-in is a good effort among many that are needed [to improve safety], and retailers can be an important player, but it would be easier to get safe products on the market in the first place.”

Cowles also said that many recalled baby products actually do meet safety standards, which indicates that stricter guidelines are needed for the industry. A safety improvement act was passed in 2008 by the Consumer Product Safety Commission will be phased in over the next few years, helping to make children’s products safer, Cowles said.

Sometimes “used” is a hidden danger

[apply_button float="right"]

A spokesperson for the giant toy retailer told CNN that “certain baby items should not be reused or resold.” Only 30% of recalled baby products are ever actually returned, “which means that many dangerous items remain in circulation.” Don’t be fooled by used baby products that look okay, because sometimes the danger is not obvious. For instance, “the materials that car seats are made of can break down over time, making the product less effective in a crash.” Think about that when you’re tempted to keep all your extra cash to yourself by picking up a car seat at the neighbor’s yard sale.

Take recalled items back to the store where you bought them

Safety is a noble goal, indeed, but so is getting by until payday without an installment loan. If you have a baby product that’s been recalled, try returning it to the retailer where you purchased it before you head out to the Toys R Us sale. Normally the retailer who sold the recalled product will provide a full refund or store credit. For a list of recalled baby products, check out About.com.
