Last time I checked, Miley Cyrus was worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 billion. So, it comes as no surprise that her facial cleanser of choice, Kenebo Sensai cleanser, costs $100.

However, some parents out there might be surprised when their teens and tweens begin demanding $100 facial cleanser. Miley Cyrus reportedly sent out multiple tweets on Twitter, saying how much she loved the cleanser and how well it worked.

Money in perspective

To Miley Cyrus, $100 is probably a totally reasonable amount to spend on the two small tubes of facial cleanser that make up the Kanebo Sensai cleanser kit. However, for many families, $100 is a trip to the grocery store, a car payment or the result of a trip to the payday loan store.

My parents would have never spent $100 on Kanebo Sensai cleanser. They told me to be careful and conservative using the $5 cleanser from the grocery store so as not to go through it so fast. I hope that, what with all of the economic focus that has permeated our culture as of late, teen and preteen girls will have enough sense to know that $100 is just too much to expect your parents to spend on face wash.

I am pretty skeptical about her claim that she isn’t on the Sensai cleanser payroll. She is smart enough to know that anything she says is going to mobilize her giant fan base to a huge degree. Regular teenagers don’t usually toss brand names and instructions into their tweets.

Britney Spears has done it again with her new debut album “”Circus” which sold more than half a million copies in the last week. Circus topped debut weeks by other popular artists such as Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Maria Carey and Beyonce.  Clearly, she won’t need payday loans for a while.

This album really started to propel her forward and she soon got the opportunity to host and perform on “Saturday Night Live” in May of 2000. Britney then released her next album a short time later called “Oops! I Did it Again“.

Pepsi, finally decides to sign the rising star onto a two year contract in 2001 just before she releases her third album called “Britney“.

On The Television And In The Movies

2002 found Britney all over the television as she makes another appearance on Saturday Night Live and has a whole hour of the “Oprah Winfrey Show” devoted to her. Spears also gets a starring role in a teen movie called, “Crossroads“.  The movie was critically and commercially panned – and many who viewed the movie would get payday loans to prevent anyone else from seeing it, either.

Britney Spears gets a star on the “Hollywood Walk of Fame“, possessing now the status that few in the music industry will ever get to experience and forever leaving her mark on Hollywood and the music industry.

2004 marks the the release of Britney’s forth album “In The Zone“, her marriage to Jason Allen Alexander that was annulled fifty five hours later, her marriage to Kevin Federline, her chewed gum which is put on Ebay by a fan, and a her new fragrance called “Curious” which smelled of musk and vanilla. She also releases the greatest hits collection called “Greatest Hits: My prerogative“.

Britney’s Fame Surpasses That of the Oscars And Causes Britney’s Neighbors To Move.

Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson’s fame is surrounded by so much publicity that they are reportedly banned from attending the Oscars for fear of them stealing the show and the paparazzi has become such a prevalent part of Spears daily life that her Malibu neighbors have to think about moving, and getting payday loans to get their house packed quickly.

Britney Becomes A Mom

Miley, now the 16 year old daughter of country singer and songwriter Billy Ray Cyrus got her first role when she guest starred on the her dad’s televised series called “Doc”.

She later auditioned and got the lead role in Disney’s series Hannah Montana. This series about a typical teenager who secretly moonlights as a pop star became an instant hit and has won multiple awards including best actress by Nickelodeon.  She won’t be needing payday loans for awhile, that’s for sure.

Miley has caught the world’s eye, and there are many who speculate whether the fame and fortune of her quick stardom will find her going down a controversial path like that of other young predecessors before her such as Britney Spears or Lindsey Lohan.

She has already been the topic of a lot of controversy as anyone could expect in a position such as hers. Much has been the result of rumors that she was pregnant that surfaced when a fake magazine article appeared on the web making the fake accusation.

Miley also posed for some pictures with Vanity Fair. The photos featuring her wrapped in a bed sheet with her back exposed raised a concern for many just what road she may be choosing to follow.

Our youth today sure needs some good role models; lets hope she doesn’t get too carried away with her new found fame.
