Visiting Europe can seem like a huge undertaking when you consider where to go, what to see, how to get around and what it would cost. If you have ever wanted to visit parts of Europe to experience the history and beauty but have written it off as “too big of a feat,” there are still options to consider. You can visit historic Provence France with an American tour guide for two entire weeks, nestled in a medieval town at a Bed and Breakfast. It’s a 15th century parish house located near the castle called “City of the Popes,” or Avignon, for a very low price. You may not need to take out a small payday loan after all.

Things to do while visiting Europe

This type of trip includes personally guided tours that allow you to experience, in a group of eight or fewer, touring the countryside and sharing the wonders of the history and beauty Europe has to offer.

You get to visit castles, admire Vincent Van Gogh paintings and other local artisans, visit the Chartreuse Abbey, participate in wine tastings at Wine Country, and have days to explore so much more on your own. All of this is done with an American tour guide who speaks fluent French and enjoys lunch with you and explains your options on the menu, making your meal much more pleasurable.

Enjoying the sights

Being able to visit Europe this way allows you to enjoy your time there, taking in the sights, sounds, flavors and people. You always have someone guiding you in such a relaxed manner you feel like you are at home. If you have always dreamed of visiting foreign lands but are unsure of how to go about it, this is one way you can do it. Fortunately, you can even access quick funding with a short term loan or a low-rate personal loan even in places like Europe.

Technology has been the fulcrum of human knowledge and civilization’s progression. Every epoch in history has been significantly defined by technology. In fact, technology is the fruit of the human drive for knowledge. It is the culmination of man’s brilliance and ingenuity. Technology has paved a new, improved way to obtain quick financing when needed, through an installment loan or a low-rate personal loan, among other forms. It has given people significant power and advantage compared to every other creature on the planet. Humans’ use of technology has given people the power to determine their own future, opening a wide array of possibilities.

The bane of technology

Along with the boon of technology comes its bane. It has been placed into inexperienced and unrestrained hands, giving them power beyond comprehension. Technology has provided so much for people, but it in turn has heaped upon humanity, pain, malevolence, conflict and death. From this, we can be certain that technology can yield both good and bad. It all depends on its use and application. This is the social issue of the 21st century — how much use of technology is too much.

Evolution of crime

Recently, a Russian prisoner orchestrated a theft from his jail cell using a mobile phone. Technology’s empowering effect also means it can be employed in crimes. Technology makes it easier to carry out criminal deeds. Crimes have evolved with the progression of technology. New technology brings with it new ways of committing crimes. This extensively challenges the government in terms of law enforcement and crime prevention.

Government measures

Government, law enforcement agencies and crime prevention units struggle to contain crimes. These are affected further by the extensive use of technology in modern age. Usually, commission of crimes using technology often is not differentiated by those without, and it is sometimes punished similarly. This situation only heightens the use of technology in criminal undertakings. Tougher measures are required when common day appliances become means by which laws are violated, rights hampered and law and order jeopardized.

A Shanghai monkey (Photo: F3rn4nd0/Wikimedia/CC-BY)

The common idea is that animals are under the stewardship of humankind. This means that we are to care for them, to an extent. The modern view is that they have rights, and these rights require recognition, protection and respect.

Entire organizations and movements in society have recently sprung up regarding animal rights. They have protested against the treatment of animals in society. They are against cruelty to animals, animal blood sports and the slaughter of animals for consumption. In fact, they are against animal-based products of any kind. Some contend that animals have an inherent social value. However, the more widely accepted idea is that some animals should be cared for, but the existence of their rights is a mere social construction.

Social danger of animals

Animals are known to be a natural danger to humans, and their primal and wild nature in effect will cause human injuries and, in some case, fatalities. Animals are, in fact, inherently dangerous to humans. This is reinforced by the incident in which a monkey abducted a baby in Malaysia and killed it. (Link to story below.) This suggests that the danger of an animal merits a reassessment. The usual notion is that fierce animals such as lions and bears slay humans. However, we forget that most, if not all, of these creatures are primal and can kill a human given the right conditions. Communities live among animals, and this heightens the danger from animals, even from creatures like monkeys.

The natural order

In the scenario in which a baby was killed by a monkey, there were concerns that those who hunted down the monkey may have killed the wrong one. The Darwinian concept may offer an explanation for this: Either humans kill the monkey that killed the child or hunt a different money to even things out so there would be one less animal to worry about. It’s a reduction of potential child abductors and killers.

With or without animal rights, wild creatures cannot be held accountable for harms done to human beings. Many people believe that the only defense against these animals would be to hunt them down and kill them. Some humans believe animal rights undermine human rights, which are considered more important and valuable. These are the kind of rights protected by law and public policy.

Needed measures

Animal rights need to be a matter of social convenience, but it has to be set aside when human safety is at stake. Moreover, the culture of animal rights activism must be brought to perspective and limited to merely caring for animals, not a prohibition to kill them if it is what public welfare and safety require. This is to prevent any more injuries on humans. There may be a need for funding — grants, a low-rate personal loan or a small loan to get quick cash — to research better ways to deal with this issue and other related cases.

For many years now, Kashmir had been known to be a dangerous place to live because of conflicts surrounding the region, making peace elusive among its people. The conflict, however, does not stem from the country itself like other conflict-ridden countries but from its neighbors, such as Pakistan and India. Both countries are considered nuclear powers in conflict with one another in such a small space, threatening the Kashmir region.

The unresolved conflict of Kashmir

FOR more than 60 years ago, Kashmir has been the root cause for conflicts as to whether India or Pakistan should claim this tiny country. A total of three wars have been fought over this nation and its people, with no clear victor. Without conclusion of the conflict, the people of Kashmir face an uncertain future. This place was once a beautiful nation with a growing tourist industry, but now the beauty has been replaced with destructive terrorist activities and military incursions.

Kashmir’s dispute

Kashmir’s dispute stemmed from the separation of two British Indian Empire states into independent states, which turned into the Muslim Pakistan and the Hindu India. The Partition, as referred to by historians, started because of religion and threats of annihilation. Muslims in India believed their religious status would be overwhelmed in a Hindi Indian controlled state, thus the Muslim League demanded that Hindu and Muslim India should be separated. The Indian National Congress, which would later become the ruling party of India, rejected the proposal of the Muslim Indians but compromised by creating Pakistan.

Unknown to all at that time, the leaders of the ruling party expected Pakistan to eventually collapse from ongoing turmoil. However, Pakistan rose to become an independent and aggressive nation. The process of The Partition left traumatic memories on both sides because of killings on the boarders of the two countries, leaving hundreds of thousands dead and millions of families homeless. With such animosity toward each other, it is impossible to see a peaceful resolution.

Hopes for a peaceful settlement

With activities such as rogue military movements, holding of elections, hosting human rights conventions and helping refugees, the United Nation’s mandate on the solution of the peace process will ensure a long term effect to both parties. Kashmir does hope that this governing body has the ability to pacify hostilities and ensure an effective conflict resolution. Sometimes, funding for these conventions may require some form of credit, like a payday loan or a low-rate personal loan, among other types.

Users of Mcaffe Virus scanning software who updated their definition files this morning to Mcafee DAT 5958 found themselves in the unfortunate situation of getting a false svchost.exe virus report. There is no reason to get payday loans online to pay for a computer expert to fix the Mcafee virus, though. Instead, Mcafee DAT 5958 has already been replaced by the company, and the issue workaround is relatively simple.

Mcafee virus hit at 6 a.m.

At 6 a.m. on April 21, McCafee released its virus-definition update DAT 5958. Once this Mcafee 5958 file was downloaded, however, users of Windows XP got a report that they had an svchost.exe virus. The suspected file, though, was not a virus, but an essential Windows XP operating system file. Any user who chose to quarantine or “fix” the problem ended up with a blue screen or a shutdown computer.

Mcafee virus fixes

As soon as Mcafee virus scanner users began reporting the Mcafee virus issues, the company jumped into high gear. DAT file 5959 was released within hours, and was made available on the Mcaffee virus Security Updates page. If you did not take immediate action when your computer reported an svchost.exe virus, you may just need to update your Mcafee DAT 5958 file to DAT 5959 to fix the issue. Keeping your virus definitions file – DAT file – updated is usually a very good idea, and you should ensure you have the DAT 5959 file if you do run Mcafee virus scanning software.

Fixing the Mcafee virus

If you did quarantine or “fix” the Mcafee virus or svchost.exe virus after your Mcaffe virus scanner updated this morning, then you may want to fix your computer before applying for a low rate personal loan. There is no immediate security risk to the Mcafee virus, but it can cause your Windows XP computer to shut down or quit working. Two full walkthroughs of solutions to the Mcafee virus are available on the Mcafee virus website. Most installations of Mcafee should automatically update, though it will take a few hours for all download servers to distribute the updated file.

Tucked inside the health care reform bill that congress passed on Sunday was a bill that will reform the student loan system. Focused mainly on how student loans are administered, the student loan bill will create $61 billion in savings over 10 years. Of those savings, $30 billion will be put back into education, while another $10 billion will go to deficit reduction. Banks and financial institutions will no longer act as the money lender on these loans — instead, the Department of Education will administer the loans.

Student loan bill changes administration

The biggest change that the student loan bill will implement is in how the student loan program operates. Currently, Congress sets eligibility rules, interest rates and most of the rules about how student loans are administered. The Department of Education then works with lenders like Sallie Mae and colleges to help students apply for the low rate personal loan.

The lending institution then distributes money to the school. The lending institution receives subsidies from the government for providing this service. The student loan bill will simply cut out government subsidies for lending institutions. Instead, the Department of Education will act as the lending institution. Just by cutting out subsidies, the government will save approximately $6.1 billion a year.

Reinvesting in education through the student loan bill

With the savings of the student loan bill, the Department of Education will be able to reinvest about $30 billion back into education. According to the student loan bill, this money will be used to increase the maximum Pell Grant, which is used to help low-income students pay for college. The bill will also reduce the monthly payments that some students have to make on their loans, which will help make college more affordable for more people.

Criticisms of the student loan bill

Even though this bill saves the government billions of dollars a year and reinvests in education, there are criticisms. The costs of college have been rising at double-digit percentages each year, and the increase in the Pell Grants will not come anywhere close to covering that increase in cost. There are also fears that by cutting out the loan industry, the government will effectively be cutting jobs. However, most estimates say that comparatively few — if any — jobs will be lost, as the government will need to hire personnel to administer the loans. Finally, some worry that interest rates on these unsecured personal loans will begin to rise. However, the student loan bill does not change the fact that Congress sets the rules, eligibility and interest rates for student loans.

Image from Flickr.

Students at Ohio State woke up this morning to news of yet another shooting, this time on their own campus. CNN reports that the 51-year old custodial worker Nathaniel Brown is responsible for the Ohio State Shooting. Students, many of whom are paying for tuition with a low rate personal loan, are attending classes today.

Ohio State University shooter was unhappy at work

Much like the University of Alabama shooting in February, the Ohio State shooting is theorized to be the result of an unhappy employee. Nathaniel Brown had recently received a negative performance review and was on probation. His manager was killed in the attack, and an operations shift leader was also injured and is now in stable condition. The attack happened at 3:30 am, when there were very few people in the building and most students were asleep. The attack appears to have been very targeted at the Ohio State University employee’s supervisors.

Ohio State University emergency alert system

On Sunday, the Ohio State University student newspaper, The Lantern, published an campus news piece about the “opt-in” alert system for alerting Ohio State students of crimes. When the system was created, students had to opt in to receive the alerts, though officials are now considering making the system opt-out instead. In a single week, three separate major crimes were announced through this system. By informing students, Ohio State University is hoping that students will be able to help keep themselves and the campus safer.

Keeping college students safe

The Ohio State shooting raises larger questions, too, about how to inform college students of emergencies. Most college campuses are very spread-out, sometimes with hundreds of thousands of students over campuses that are several square miles. Alerting students on campuses like Ohio State’s of emergencies can be difficult. Some campuses still use loudspeaker systems, while others are turning to text messages, emails, and website announcements. No matter what the system, it is becomingly increasingly important that all people on a campus are informed as quickly as possible of emergency situations and crimes. Keeping any campus safe is difficult – balancing the needs of student freedom and campus safety even more so. While some would like to see military loans of personnel at every campus, having an informed and prepared student body is a much more realistic step towards keeping college students safe.

Documentary suggests root causes of America’s financial collapse

Hold on, let's not be hasty here, "Generation Zero"

Sean Hannity is talking about it. The Tea Baggers Ball in Nashville screened it. For many people, that would be enough to permanently lose all interest in “it,” but in this case that would be unfortunate. “It” is “Generation Zero,” a documentary film that suggests that it was not deregulation that caused America’s financial distress, but a generational crisis of ego and selfishness. The filmmakers would likely assert that this crisis – which was born of the Great Depression and now runs rampant – is largely responsible for the behavior of those who would run to a personal loan company to satisfy their greed. Financial responsibility is always encouraged, but it is sadly a foreign concept to many people.

Baby Boom makes economic crater

Newscorpse and others don’t buy it, but let’s think about the “Generation Zero” argument. The “Greatest Generation” fought through the economic disasters and war of the 1930s and 1940s, and they vowed that their children should never have to face the same struggles in their own lives. Thus, the filmmakers argue, there was a parent-to-child overindulgence in the 1950s and 1960s. Rather than shielding them, parents gave them too much. Did this lead to generations of socially decadent people who drown their hardships in consumption, rather than tackling the root cause of the problems?

Oh, those anti-social hippies…

The liberal politics of the children of Woodstock are in “Generation Zero’s” sights, but that is arguably too simplistic. A more realistic view might be that a combination of Wall Street and Capitol Hill led us into the recession, where greed, lax regulation and ignorance of sound financial principles led to excessive risk-taking. This is similar ground that Michael Moore covers in “Capitalism: A Love Story,” where financial institutions are given aid but citizens are left to twist in the wind.

But no, it can’t be. “Generation Zero” is a conservative film and “Capitalism: A Love Story” is a liberal film – never the twain shall meet, right? Maybe not. Newscorpse draws our attention to one part of a recent on-air exchange between Sean Hannity and the “Generation Zero” movie producer and director:

Sean Hannity: Is it the political system that is more corrupt? Because I believe Capitalism works. Capitalism is the answer.
David Bossie, Producer: Clearly Capitol Hill is corrupt. Capitol Hill is the problem, not Wall Street here.
Stephen Bannon, Director: I think it an inextricably linked network between Capitol Hill and Wall Street. [...] You’ve had the American taxpayer, the average, middle-class American, paying taxes to bailout these big firms, and there’s been no change in behavior, no change in structure, no change in regulation.

Bannon’s idea makes the most sense

Politics are never as simple as right versus left. “Generation Zero” is a film born of right-wing sensibilities, but it may be more even-handed than you realize. So as our economic recession continues – with no “sustainable recovery” in sight, according to Ben Bernanke – you may think that you need a low rate personal loan now and again. Provided you do not borrow more than you can repay, you won’t be making the same mistake that got us all in this mess in the first place.

They’ve used payday loans to keep from overdrawing bank accounts and paying $35 bank fees.

So what exactly is a low-rate personal loan or a payday loan? It’s a short-term loan, and you get your cash right away. You will find out instantly if you’re approved for a low-rate personal loan, and your cash will be automatically, electronically deposited into your bank account a couple of hours.

How do payday loans work?

You don’t need to pay any charges up front or have any collateral to get a low-rate personal loan through Personal Money Market. Choose from a traditional payday loan, which you repay, along with your lender’s fees, all at once with your next paycheck. Did you know banks charge $35 per transaction for overdraft fees? Payday loans only require a one-time fee.

Another choice is to get an installment loan for your low-rate personal loan. You can get up to $1,500, and pay back the loan and lender’s fees in installments rather than repaying the whole thing at once. For bigger financial emergencies, such as an essential appliance breaking down, installment loans are a great choice.

Apply now for your low-rate personal loan

If you just need a few hundred bucks to tide you over and help you avoid overdraft charges, you’ll save money with a low-rate personal loan. Or, if you need a larger amount of money, check into getting an installment loan. Either way, low-rate personal loans through Personal Money Market can help you save money, get things you need or maintain financial stability, so APPLY NOW!

Low-Rate Personal loans can help

I know several people who have gotten payday loans for all kinds of different reasons. I’ve had friends who used them to get their cars back from tow yards that charge hundreds of dollars a day if you leave them there. I’ve had relatives use payday loans to avoid overdrawing their bank accounts. You can even use personal loans to get bail bond financing if you ever ended up in the clink.

So what exactly is a payday loan? A payday loan is a low-rate personal loan that gets cash into your bank account immediately. You can find out instantly if you’re approved for a low-rate personal loan and have access to your cash in just a couple of hours.

How do payday loans work?

When you get a low-rate personal loan through Personal Money Market, you get your cash immediately with no charges up front and no collateral. You can choose to get a traditional payday loan, which you will pay back all at once when you get your next paycheck. At that time, you’ll pay back your lender’s fees as well. Did you know that the lender’s fees on small payday loans, say $100 to $200, are lower than bank overdraft charge fees? Furthermore, payday lenders only charge one-time fees, and banks usually charge $35 for every transaction made after the account is overdrawn.

You can also choose to get your low-rate personal loan in the form of an installment loan. If you need a larger amount of money, up to $1,500, you can pay back your loan with a few payments instead of all at once. Installment loans are great if an essential appliance breaks and other large financial emergencies.

Apply now for your low-rate personal loan

If you just need $100 to tide you over and help you avoid a $35 bank overdraft charge, you’ll save money with a low-rate personal loan.
