Sure, the highlight of last night’s House episode was Wilson as an unintentional adult-film star, but the malady of the moment, Whipple’s disease, was also incredibly intriguing. Now, don’t get me wrong, House always specializes in the weird diseases that end up costing as much as car loans to cure. However, this choice of Whipples disease (wimbles disease? wibbles disease? wimples disease?) fit their character and story perfectly.

What is Whipple’s disease?

The Mayo Clinic lists Whipple’s Disease as a bacterial infection that usually infects one’s gastrointestinal system, stopping nutrients from being absorbed. Symptoms of Whipple’s disease can match a variety of other gastrointestinal issues – weight loss, abdominal cramping, anemia, and weakness. Whipple’s disease if very rare, but also very curable with long-term antibiotics.

Whipple’s disease on House

The patient on House that had Whipple’s disease last night was an obsessive blogger. She wrote openly about just about anything and everything that happened in her life – her husband, her doctors, even her medical options. It is ironic, then, that the blogger’s lack of openness about all of her symptoms is what created problems with diagnosing her Whipple’s disease. I kind of wish, however, that the network had posted a few “sample posts” from this fictional blogger’s website – I’d like to see what commenters may have said about her “wimbles disease, wibbles disease, wimples disease” or what other diagnoses they came up with. I also wonder if any of her readers would offer to be a money lender to pay for this expensive medical care she was getting.

What Whipple’s disease treatment is like

Of course, on House, the treatment of the blogger’s Whipple’s disease is quick and easy – and happens in the last few minutes of the show. The real treatment of Whipple’s disease, however, would end up taking her years of antibiotics. Two weeks of IV antibiotics would be followed by one or two years worth of oral antibiotics. Anything less would lead to a relapse. All of this would lead to symptoms improving in three months, and usually have to be complimented with pain management. All I can say is if the blogger on House really had had Whipple’s disease, she would have years worth of material to write about.

There are all types of rumors surrounding Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper’s relationship. The most recent rumor is that Renee Zellweger is pregnant. These rumors stem from a photo of Renee in a fitted dress; the tabloids seem to believe that the little extra shape she has around her midsection is caused by a baby.

She wore the form-fitting dress to the Berlin Film Festival, and so far there is nothing other than tabloid speculation about Renee Zellweger being pregnant. I saw a bunch of the photos at the Huffington Post, and I see absolutely no reason to believe that Renee Zellweger is pregnant. That little bump could be from drinking a pitcher of beer. She’s in Germany, after all. I wonder if they have pay day loans there?

Reasons I don’t think Renee Zellweger is pregnant

There is no evidence to support rumors that Renee Zellweger is pregnant. Furthermore, she and boyfriend Bradley Cooper only made their relationship public a few months ago. A couple of weeks ago, there were other rumors swirling about Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper; people were saying they were engaged. The couple denies they are engaged.

Rumors also spread when Bradley Cooper purchased a new home. The gossip was that Renee Zellweger was going to move in with him. Bradley Cooper told Entertainment Daily that wasn’t true. So, if Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger are not engaged and not moving in together, why would Renee Zellweger want to get pregnant? Sure, some may believe she could have gotten pregnant by accident. But seriously, she is 40 years old and obviously pretty smart. I don’t think a well-informed, grown woman in the year 2010 gets pregnant accidentally. There are just too many ways to avoid it.

So, to sum up, to the best of my knowledge, Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger are not moving in together, not engaged and not pregnant. Does that cover all of the rumors?

The unemployment extension vote that took place Tuesday cleared the way for the unemployment extension bill to make its way through Congress. The House has passed the bill, which would allow unemployed workers to collect benefits for an additional 13 weeks beyond what is already allotted.

Originally, the bill specified that only states that have unemployment rates of 8.5 percent or higher would receive the benefits, but that provision has been amended. Because some states with lower overall unemployment rates have areas with very high unemployment, the bill was amended to include all states. Another unemployment extension vote must take place before the benefits will be extended.

Unemployment extension vote sorely needed

The nation’s unemployment rate is hovering uncomfortably near 10 percent, at 9.8 percent, and several million Americans are scheduled to stop receiving unemployment benefits before the end of the year. People who aren’t getting payday cash rely heavily on unemployment benefits.

The bill would provide emergency unemployment compensation for people who are actively seeking work but unable to find it. If the Senate passes the bill when it holds the unemployment extension vote, job seekers would have another three months to try to find jobs while still collecting unemployment insurance.

Why unemployment extension is needed

Out-of-work citizens who are collecting unemployment must actively seek work. In the state I live in, people are require to apply for three jobs per week in order to be eligible for unemployment. Though the jobs the insured applies for do not have to be in the person’s field, people aren’t required to accept job offers unless the pay and position match their previous job.

People in many different fields are having a very tough time finding work during this recession. Many people often think that someone who is collecting unemployment should take whatever job he or she can get, but the reality is that sometimes people can make a lot more from unemployment than they’d make working at Starbucks. Extending unemployment benefits would allow people more time to find a suitable job in the right field of work. This could prevent people from having to uproot their families and move for a job or accept positions below their skill levels.

As anyone who has tried to find a job during this recession knows, the unemployment extension vote could greatly help or hurt millions of Americans.

Drama in the unemployment extension vote

So far, there have been some near scuffles involving the unemployment extension vote. Congress held a cloture vote Tuesday, which is simply a vote agreeing that they should proceed to have a vote on the bill. This was necessary because some members were unable to reach an agreement regarding amendments to the bill.

Sen. Harry Ried at one point threatened to hold a vote at midnight this morning. That would have been the soonest time Congress could legally vote on the bill, as it was 30 hours after the cloture vote. He didn’t follow through with holding the unemployment extension vote at midnight, but the bill passed in House anyway.

The impact they have upon general financial well-being has been significant, without any slippery slope toward ruinous conditions. Thankfully for the people of Montana, there are still politicians who know when to battle for what’s right – a 36 percent annual percentage rate cap simply won’t be allowed to waltz in and have its way.

According to AP reporter Matt Gouras, this unnecessarily strict regulation – House Bill 396 – hasn’t received the support that Democrats in the state had hoped. The House Business and Administration Committee locked in a 9-9 voting deadlock, which split evenly along Democratic and Republican lines. The House is similarly deadlocked on this important vote.

You can’t put people out of work right now

Previous incarnations of the bill as introduced by Rep. Bill Wilson asked for even more fee and term limit restrictions, but compromises were necessary, as the original version of the proposed legislation was considered to be much too unfriendly to the pay day loans industry.

Perhaps someone realized it would shut the businesses down and put people out of work? Whatever the case, supporters of the anti-payday loans bill aren’t ready to give up. A ballot initiative is planned for a more opportune time. Would that be when honest consumers and the officials who represent them aren’t paying attention? Not gonna happen.

America’s economic stimulus package in final heat

America’s ailing economy is in need of quick aid, a true payday loan that will help bridge the way. Unfortunately, for as much as President Obama has been encouraging quick action to get a stimulus package passed, we may not see real change for some time. Many even argue that the stimulus package does not take the optimal path toward healing and reform.

However, the package moves forward. According to a breaking BBC News report, “the Democratic-controlled Senate voted 61-37 to approve the measure, with few Republicans opting to back it.” According to reports, the economic stimulus plan that the U.S. Senate has passed will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $838 billion.

Interestingly, Vice President Biden has been widely quoted as saying that there is a “30 percent chance” that this stimulus package will not work. Many pundits consider that estimate to be conservative.

What’s next?

Next, a number of things must happen. First of all, it is expected that the Senate-passed version will enter into negotiations so that it can be “reconciled” with the legislation that has already passed the House of Representatives two weeks ago. After that, it will cross President Obama’s desk for the final sign-off. His signature could mean the cash advance that the Dow Jones has been waiting for. Watch those indexes…

President Obama has said the package will “create up to four million jobs and help lift the economy.” He expects the final House/Senate package to reach his desk by February 16.

Moving forward

The House and Senate measures are reported to be “largely similar.” Differences that will go up for debate include how lawmakers are going to expand the Medicaid and other various spending priorities. In the House version of the bill, greater resources are allocated to schools, local governments and individual states. On the other side of the coin, the Senate bill focuses more on tax cuts.

Whatever happens, this stimulus package will at the very least bring hope to many. It is the hope of Cash Advance Mojo and everyone at your payday loan source, that the stimulus package and other bailout money is used to fix the broken economic system, rather than trying to merely plug a hole with money.

A payday loan in South Carolina sounds fine

South Carolina’s The State newspaper reports that recently introduced payday loan legislation has made it to the state House for debate. Changes were not recommended beforehand, which is a positive sign for payday loan supporters.

To recap, the bill would limit consumers to no more than one cash advance at a time, up to $600 dollars. Plus, lenders would have to cross-reference customers against a state database to see if they have loans outstanding. Finally, a set portion of loan fees would go toward maintenance of the loan database.

A decision soon?

The bill, which enjoys the support of more than 70 House members, should reach a vote soon. Debates are scheduled to begin the week of February 9.

Critics continue to complain that the bill doesn’t require a cooling off period or limit the number of consecutive payday loans a customer in South Carolina may take. However, faxless payday loan employees are encouraged to work with customers and inform them about responsible use of the loan product.

Shouldn’t people be allowed to choose for themselves whether a payday loan is right for them? A “nanny state” mentality on the part of government is neither desirable nor productive for the population.

Payday loans can be your savior in a foreclosure crisis. Foreclosure is the epidemic that has been gripping the nation of late. Almost everyone is scared because of the current economic situation. It is like a wildfire, coming from all sides, seen on the news, read in the newspaper and even circles round the internet. Hearing about someone’s property being foreclosed on is a daily happening. The main cause for this situation is falling short on your house payments. Many realize it only when it happens to them and are too disturbed to look for a solution to overcome that. Although there are some easy solutions to solve the issue, people panic. Here I would like to discuss one possibility to get over the payment crisis. This might not be feasible to everyone. This solution is viable only to those who still have a job or a payday coming.

Cover your payments with…

It is often at the last minute that we realize that we will not be able to meet our financial commitments, for house payments and the like. Previously, letting go of a payment date was not a big issue. All that needed to be done was pay an increased amount to make up for the default. Now, because of the recession, just one lapse is going to catch you by the throat and foreclosure may be an issue. So, when you find yourself in this situation, please do not lose your cool. Instead, think objectively and look for a solution that might help you solve the issue. The easiest solution you can look for if you have a job is to get a cash advance from your own income, which are called payday loans. Even if it is the last day for your payment, this loan might be able to help you out. This will provide you an instant solution as these are loans that are processed fast; upon approval, the cash is typically available to you within two hours of your application.

A clean solution

This being so, whenever you find yourself in financial difficulties and are short of payments, then all you have to do is apply to get a cash advance from your own income. This can be done online or over the phone; it is only going to take a few minutes to get it done. Most lenders do not even ask for credit checks or faxing and most do not even charge a fee for the applications. The terms and conditions are just the same as any other loans. Once approved, you will get the amount transferred to your bank account, usually within a couple hours. No hassles or long waits to get you the most wanted financial support. No hidden charges, they will not even ask for security. This type of loan involves only small amounts, so, you are not likely to be sucked into deeper debts.

Figure this out for yourself and act judiciously, count on your payday loans to save you from short term and small financial crisis and hopefully even foreclosure.
