Who are you rooting for the teams playing in the BCS national Championship or payday loans? On Thursday January 8 at 8pm Eastern Time, the first ranked Oklahoma Sooners and the second ranked Florida Gators will play head to head for the FedEx BCS National championship in Miami Florida at Dolphin Stadium. These teams’ coaches both come from the background of the northern region of Ohio only an hour away from one another. These two teams are a very fair matchup with both having a Heisman trophy winner quarter back setting the team offensively and both ending their season with a 12 and 1 result at the end. It seems to me that both of these teams have fought hard to be where they are and this game will end with the best man winning.

Oklahoma Sooners:

Coach Bob Stoops has leaded this team to a great season only losing once in the Southeastern Conference and winning their conference title. They rank first in the BCS ranking system and are also ranked first in the nation in scoring averaging 54 points per game. Playing for the BCS national championship is nothing new to the sooner’s, this will be the eighth time playing for the title and the first since 2000 and the fourth time under Coach Stoops. Offensively they have a great quarter back in Sam Bradford who just won the Heisman trophy this year and threw a total of 48 touchdowns this season alone. Hopefully this team will pull together in one more great game of this season and show the Florida Gators who is boss.

Florida Gators:

Coach Urban Meyer brought his team to a similar season of only losing one game to the Texas longhorns in the Big 12 standings they won their conference. They came in ranked second for the BCS rankings right behind the Oklahoma Sooners. They are currently ranked third in the nation for scoring at 45.15 points per game coming behind of course none other than the Sooners. This team has fought hard and has kept their standing in their SEC conference, but they too have a Heisman trophy winner from last year tucked behind in the quarter back position Tim Tebow, who this year alone account for 40 touchdowns for his team. This team is playing in their home state so let’s see who can beat the heat and win at the FedEx BCS national Championship, unlike those who get caught in the heat and need to take out payday loans to cool down.

Who Will Win?

With both teams showing great stride in their own league it is amazing that they are still thriving now. Some could dispute that the Oklahoma Sooners shouldn’t be playing at all and that it should be the Texas Longhorns but who knows with how closely their seasons were intertwined. All that matters now is that both of these teams are ready and rearing to go with the BCS National Championship only a few days away let’s wait and see who can prosper under the hot sun in Miami and win this year’s BCS Championship. With all this talk of heat and winning try to be more prosperous with your finances and only rely on payday loans when you are in an emergency crunch.

The picks for the BCS title game actually weren’t that surprising, but payday loans can get help you when life throws you surprises. As is true with any system, the Bowl Championship Series has flaws. Throughout the college football season, the BCS rankings change from week to week. Teams shuffle around in the top twenty-five; the dominant teams rule the top ten, but don’t underestimate the underdogs that deal the upsets. Upsets are what make college football so exciting. Upsets are also what make the BCS an imperfect system. Despite the controversy surrounding the BCS system, you could almost say this year’s BCS picks were to be expected.

BCS Lineup

Bowl Championship Series

Determining the location for the BCS title game is easy; as easy as applying for online payday loans. This year’s game will be played at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida on January 8th, 2009. Determining which two teams deserve to be in the BCS title game, on the other hand, is much more challenging. Most teams in the top ten have resumes worth considering; seven of the top ten teams only had one loss. Two other teams finished undefeated. With records like that, it almost seems like all the teams are deserving of the title game. However, this year, Oklahoma and Florida stood out above the rest, and the two teams finished 1-2 respectively in the BCS polls. The complete Bowl Championship Series lineup is as follows:

-BCS Title Game: No. 1 Oklahoma (12-1) vs. No. 2 Florida (12-1)
-Rose Bowl: No. 5 USC (11-1) vs. No. 8 Penn State (11-1)
-Orange Bowl: No. 12 Cincinnati (11-2) vs. No. 19 Virginia Tech (9-4)
-Sugar Bowl: No. 4 Alabama (12-1) vs. No. 6 Utah (12-0)
-Fiesta Bowl: No. 3 Texas (11-1) vs. No. 10 Ohio State (10-2)

BCS Flaws

As the 2008 college football season comes to a close, it appears as though the BCS system kind of worked this year. The title game highlights two phenomenal teams and two Heisman-eligible quarterbacks, Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford and Florida’s Tim Tebow. In years when the selection process isn’t as easy, the BCS takes a lot of heat for being a deeply flawed system. The biggest complaint is that there is no actual playoff in college football. Instead, bowl teams are selected through an almost incomprehensible mathematical calculation by the BCS computers. This means that sometimes the most deserving team is left out of the BCS title game.

BCS Solutions: A Cinderella Story

The most obvious and most logical solution to the BCS system is an actual college football playoff. The details would still have to be worked out, but some suggest that a 16-team tournament bracket, similar to that of the insanely popular Sweet 16 in NCAA basketball, be implemented. Each conference winner would get an automatic bid, leaving 5 spots up for grabs. Not only would a tournament bracket create an actual playoff for college football, the potential for an upset would increase viewership. Sports fans love an underdog, and if a 16-seed could somehow defeat a number one-seed? Well, that would put an end to the deprivation of sports magic due to the lackluster BCS playoff system because college football fans deserve Cinderella stories, too.

Surprise!

Number 1 Oklahoma versus Number 2 Florida will face off in what promises to be one of the best BCS title games in history. Having those two teams in the championship game is no surprise. Implementing a new college football playoff system is inevitable, and its arrival will be no surprise. When a 16-seed beats a 1-seed in that new system, it will be a delightful surprise. When your son, an aspiring college football star, comes home with a football injury, it will be a surprise—unfortunately, not as delightful as an unthinkable upset. Life, like sports, is full of surprises both good and bad. You can rest assured because payday loans can help you cope with surprise expenses, including your son’s football injury.

Getting Away With Murder, Getting Life for Robbery

Payday loans can get you out of a lot of trouble. If you have been a reader of this blog, you have read of the emergencies and financially safe ways people can use them to get out of trouble. There is not much that they can’t do for you, unless you’re OJ Simpson.

OJ Simpson’s Plight

This time, he doesn't have the juice to hire Cochran

That’s right, not even payday loans can save the Heisman Trophy winner and NFL Hall of Fame running back. The time has come to finally close the book on OJ Simpson after 13 years of speculation of weather or not he killed his wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman back in 1995. The murder was a grisly crime, followed by OJ Simpson’s televised run from the police as well the photos of Nicole’s bludgeoned face from repetitive episodes of spousal abuse while they were married. This and other evidence made OJ Simpson the number one suspect in the crime. Many believe his is guilty.

Perhaps Bad Karma At Play

Ironically, OJ faces a possible life sentencing which he is currently awaiting, but not for the suspected murder which he was acquitted on by his high priced attorneys who were able to establish reasonable doubt in with the jury, but instead it will be for his actions on September 13 of 2007.

Last year the famous running back, who is now 61 years old and sitting in the Clark County Detention Center awaiting sentencing, led a raid in robbing two sports memorabilia dealers of merchandise from a Las Vegas hotel room.

OJ claimed that the memorabilia was stolen from him and he was merely getting it back (with guns), but I think the world has finally gotten tired of what OJ has to say.

What Will The Verdict Be?

He now walks before the jury with a lot of ill sentiment against him as it would be very difficult to find a jury anywhere that would believe he was innocent of his past crimes, despite the fact that he was acquitted.

Strange isn’t it? Getting away with murder and going down for robbery.

The Judge Jackie Glass, who was advised by state parole authorities to sentence Mr. Simpson to at least 18 years in prison, will most likely give him more than that as she once called him “arrogant and ignorant”. The last person you want to fall out of favor with is the judge.

So, just what did OJ and his posse of bandits steal? $100,000 worth in footballs, baseballs and lithographs. What can you say, guys love their sports!

Advice For OJ

For future reference OJ, if you want something that bad, payday loans could have helped, well maybe only $1500 dollars worth which might have gotten you one baseball, but your freedom would have still been intact.

Keep the chin up OJ. Although there isn’t spousal abuse and NFL football where you’re going, there are “FULL CONTACT” sports that may keep you busy!

Keep your head in the game, after all it’s what got you this far.
