In the difficult economy, many consumers are looking for extra money to put towards debt relief. One of the easiest ways to find that extra funding is to look at your digital services like cable and Internet – and cut back. Here are some tips on where to look for added savings.

Negotiate

Consumers can find huge savings if they shop around for cable. Most people routinely pay their bills, and rarely even look at them for possible savings. Cable companies advertise their newest offerings and specials, but they never call consumers and let them know how to save. Consumers need to proactively call the companies and tell them that they are good paying customers and would like to negotiate their bills. Most cable companies will work with long-standing customers, knowing that it costs more to find a new market than to maintain the old one.

Consumers can also threaten to leave the company if some negotiation room isn’t available. They always should ask for the cancellation department directly, as a normal customer service representative isn’t usually empowered to negotiate effectively. One company that is working hard to give their customer service department some empowerment is Verizon. Company spokesman Bill Kula said, “We will work with our customers to find a package that suits them.” Verizon representatives can cut the cost of DSL, give customers free service on Internet, increase their discounts or extend a $50 American Express gift card. This is the new wave in customer service and consumers should use it to save.

Compare

Consumers readily compare prices at grocery stores, but don’t take the same care with their digital needs. Competition is high with cable and Internet providers and they are constantly trying to undercut each other, vying for customers. One company, Sprint, offers deals on wireless Internet, but does not advertise this in print. Spokesperson Jaime Kaminski stated, “We only offer our high-end specials online because we’ve found that the overhead of print advertising cuts into any added revenue we make. The Internet is a great cost-effective way to get new customers and we put a lot of our efforts into paperless signup and transactions.” Consumers should look to online savings and see what specials are Web-offered. It’s a great way to lower bills.

Cutbacks

If all negotiating and comparison shopping is ended and consumers still feel they are paying too much for digital services, cutting back may be the only option. To truly find debt relief, sacrifices have to be made. All consumers should think realistically here. How many of the hundreds of cable TV channels do they actually watch throughout any given week? If they are paying a high premium for channels that are rarely watched, this is a huge potential monthly savings. People can always call the cable company and add channels if a special event is happening, but almost no one truly needs access to all stations, all the time.

Finally, many people are downgrading their home phones for the first time in history. People are moving to their cell phones as their permanent phone lines. Faxes can be sent online, so fax lines are also being filtered out of the daily lives of Americans.

Debt Relief

To find debt relief, consumers are willing to alter their choices. Digital services are not a necessity, but rather a convenience, in today’s lifestyle. By cutting back on digital services and working with various packages, consumers can find extra money to help them get through the recession.

Have you ever wondered if there was a way you could increase your chances of winning a sweepstakes? Well, Wendy Limauge believes you can, and on her web site Sweeties Sweeps, she promises to “help you learn how you, too, can win what you can’t afford.”

Multitasking

Sweeties Sweeps helps money-winning hopefuls using a multi-pronged attack. First, Wendy posts the “most winnable sweepstakes.” She also promises to “teach you tips and tricks and step by step articles along the way that will help you be more of a winner.”

She encourages users before and after big wins. Sweeties Sweeps also has lots of links to free stuff and money-making tips, such as how to become a mystery shopper.

Does it work?

On Sweeties Sweeps, Wendy says she usually “wins big” three to five times per year. Besides testimonials on her own big wins, she posts a weekly winner, and readers share their stories. So if you want to replace your quick payday loans by hitting paydirt, her tips might be worth a try.

Wins, big and small

Wendy posts letters from her readers who report what they’ve won. Some of the winnings are relatively small. Dawn reports that she won “A $50 AMC gift card, a child’s movie ticket, a Le Creuset mixing bowl (this morning, worth $40!)”

However, Dawn has also won a Camaro and a trip to “American Idol.” Hannah won $5,000 from American Express. Barbara won $32,000 worth of electronics from Brooks Run Happy Place Instant Win Game.

Every little bit

Much of the site seems dedicated to winners sharing in the joy of winning. The majority of the prizes reported are of the smaller variety, such as a pair of sunglasses or some bath products. But from my perspective, this enthusiastic celebration of even small wins keeps the contest entrants going, aiming for that big win.

How to be a winner

Sweeties Sweeps has a plethora of articles on how to improve your chances of winning, including this Top 10 list:

Enter every day

Enter sweeps that have a lot of prizes

Enter when fewer people are entering

Enter restricted sweeps

Enter mail-in sweeps with no online option

Enter short ending sweeps

Don’t waste your time trying to enter every sweeps out there

Use a Form Filler program

Enter sweeps that have prizes you really want

Never give up!

Just to give you an idea for the type of results the site is aiming for, Wendy says she wins about 200 prizes a year, and three to five are big ones. Already this year she has won $5,000. For more of Wendy’s tips and tricks, check out Sweeties Sweeps.

Payday loans only one source of extra cash

With the traditional lending market in so much trouble, people are turning to payday loans and other forms of credit to meet their financial needs. A lot of families have come up with creative ways of coming up with extra money, and one good example is the Humpherys from Staten Island, New York.

The family of four has made a hobby of collecting “found money“ from hallways, parking lots, sidewalks — anywhere and everywhere they go.

Short-term finds, long-term hobby

The Humpherys are Mom and Dad — Barbara and Scott – and two daughters: Brianna, 11, and Karen, 7. The parents have come up with a very creative way of teaching their children the importance of money. Traditional financial education covers subjects like interest rates and types of credit, like payday loans.

In the Humpherys family, financial education includes braving a freezing day in New York to scour a parking lot for pennies. It’s a hobby Barbara has been diligent about since college.

Picking up the pieces

Barbara says it all started three and a half years ago, when she saw 7 cents lying in the hallway of her college. Since then, the family has developed a “fanatical devotion” to picking up change. Barbara even updates her blog every day saying how much change they found that day. Here’s an excerpt:

Today we found a total of 32 cents – three dimes and two pennies in spite of the freak snowstorm that crippled our post-workout plans this evening.

Every little bit helps

After three and a half years of collecting change, the Humpherys family has a total of $1,100 in quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. But according to them, they’d take out payday loans before they would spend it on themselves. The family’s plan is to wait until they have a grand total of $10,000 and then donate it to a charity.

Barbara and Scott’s hope is that this exercise will not only teach their children that every penny counts, it will teach them to give back to their community.

Lessons learned

The plan seems to be working.

“Whatever the community gives you, you should help it when it’s having a hard time and give back,” 11-year-old Brianna stated proudly.

Another important lesson, taught through hours spent combing cold parking lots, is understanding that you have to work for your own money.

“With the economy the way it is right now, it’s important that they realize Dad is not this endless tap of cash,” said Scott.

How will it end?

So I did some number crunching. If the Humpherys continue to collect change at the same rate they have been for the last three and a half years, it will take them more than 30 years to meet their $10,000 goal. But having such a long-term project doesn’t seem to bother the Humpherys.

“A family that collects change together stays together,” Scott says.

The Humpherys are a good example of how financial education can bring a family together. Whether it’s finding creative ways to teach about money or educating your children about payday loans, the important thing is to give kids the tools they’ll need to survive in any economy.

Laugh or be offended, but Refugee Run at Davos was a valiant attempt to bring the plight of the afflicted to world leaders. Cash Advance Mojo loves the idea!

Satire or Supreme Distaste?

Cash Advance Mojo appreciates what the United Nations was trying to do, but for satire to work the way it should, one must be aware of the boundaries of good taste. Dance the line, don’t eradicate the line.

What is Refugee Run?

Unfortunately, that’s what the U.N. did at Davos with their little “Refugee Run” theme park. With introductions like this – “Are you looking for a little excitement in your life? Imagine what fun it would be to live through a rebel attack . . . to navigate a minefield … to negotiate with corrupt officials and border guards in a desperate effort to survive” – who wouldn’t want a piece of the fun?

“Are there no prisons?” exclaimed Ebenezer

Refugee Run is targeted at the disconnected world leaders and luminaries who are sheltered from real world conditions by the trappings of their wealth. Perhaps if these leaders were made to understand the conditions their own people actually face in places like Darfur, Congo, Iraq and Pakistan, they would be motivated into action.

Huddle on the floor in a canvas tent

Visit Refugee Run. There’s a canvas tent in Darfur, where you huddle with others on the dirt floor. Move on to a slightly larger hovel, where families pray for their lives. Now you’re in Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iran. Homeless tent towns like those found in the United States or one hundred other countries aren’t far away from where you sit.

However, most world leaders tended to skip the theme park and headed back to their Swiss hotel suites that came complete with whirlpool hot tubs and gift baskets. And the freedom and financial means to access payday loans if they so desired.

A bit less heavy-handed next time, OK U.N.?

“Can Davos man empathize with refugees when he or she is not in danger and is going back to a luxury banquet and hotel room afterwards?” William Easterly of Aid Watch wrote in one of many scathing reviews.

Yet not all were critical of the display. “The exhibition is artificial, but anything that sensitizes people to the harsh realities of refugees can only be a plus,” said former Australian Foreign Minister Gareth Evans. Ban Ki-Moon, the U.N. Secretary-General, called his organization’s efforts ” Refugee Run “a profound experience that reminds us of the plight of millions of forcibly displaced people.” Even mega-rich celerities like Virgin Group Chairman Sir Richard Branson voiced their support, calling Refugee Run a statement “beautifully done.”

Hundreds visited, but did they see?

Only time will tell. Fundraising for refugee aid programs continues, and the U.N. remains hopeful that displaced peoples worldwide will eventually discover an acceptable quality of life. Political, economic and self-determination should be basic human rights that all who live and breathe possess. Voting for representative leaders, doing what you desire with your money and making the big and little decisions in your personal life are all part of what make you human. If someone wants a cash advance for extra money until their next payday, they shouldn’t be looked down upon like a refugee. Humans should be in the business of making decisions for themselves.

Shower the people – with tax burdens

A cash advance can rescue you from one of life’s little financial emergencies. However, when it comes to the recent banking system bailout, “little” is not the operative word.

Lemon Socialism

Rescuing the United States banking system – for which both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations are responsible – is what New York Times Op-Ed columnist Paul Krugman calls “lemon socialism.” In other words, “taxpayers bear the cost if things go wrong, but stockholders and executives get the benefits if things go right.” His recent column “Bailout for Bunglers” shows that the more things change, the more things stay the same.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner put the prevailing attitude in no uncertain terms when he said that “We have a financial system that is run by private shareholders, managed by private institutions, and we’d like to do our best to preserve that system.” Looks like taxpayers will be picking up the bill for bankers gone wild.

Mr. President, bankers need to be leashed

Now, something must be done to shore up the financial system. A number of major institutions are dangerously close to the edge and they need more operating capital. Since taxpayer money will be pumping them back up, isn’t it logical to assume that said banks will become publicly owned enterprises?

Yet as Krugman sees it, the Obama Administration is doing everything it can to avoid banks being “of the public, for the public.” Government will buy the most troubled assets of banks and guarantee that the banks will not take hits on the rest. This guarantee serves bank stockholders greatly but does nothing for the public but take their money.

Payday Loans for extra money in emergencies

President Obama was tough on Wall Street firms giving exorbitant bonuses to their CEOs during this crisis, yet he has been relatively silent about the same practice for banks. Too much money is going to be spent fixing the system to allow things to be “business as usual” for executives mostly lacking in restraint, accountability or common sense. Cash Advance Mojo says that Mr. Obama needs a serious gut check. Bankers must be held accountable. With a financial system in good repair, the public won’t have to worry about opportunistic special interest groups reaching into their lives and telling them whether or not they can use payday loans for extra money in emergencies.

A cash advance can be of help when you have financial issues.

Many people do not know how to deal with their finances and end up having financial problems which they are not able to handle properly and don’t realize a cash advance can help them out. They are constantly looking for tips, advice and ideas to solve their financial crisis.

This article is meant to help those people who are struggling to maintain their finances and deal with a short term financial emergency. You could be someone with a regular paying job doing everything that you need to do with your money but falling short because of some emergent money needs. Keeping up with all your regular expenses like payments and even taxes may not be a big deal for you but falling short for an unexpected expense may panic you. So it is always best to learn how to find that extra bit to solve your financial crisis.

Where to get the extra money

If you’re like me, you’re not thinking of investing your money; the same goes for doing business for profits or taking risks to make money. All you want to do is have enough money to deal with all your immediate needs and you do not want to enter into any debts or schemes. When you need extra money, you want to somehow find it yourself and when you cannot, you need to know where to go for help. You don’t want to borrow or ask anyone for help but you need that extra money.

Do you want to know where to find that extra money? It is not actually a big deal but a simple supportive solution which you might find sensible when in a crisis. Yes, get a cash advance from your own income. No, you don’t have to beg to your employer or even let him know.

Cash advance from your pay

This sort of cash advance on your income can be had with payday loan. It is simply between you and the lending company; no physical presence is required to get it done. You can ask for the loan over the phone or even easier, online. Fill out a short application form; most lenders do not even require a credit check or fax and they don’t even ask for an application fee. There are no hidden charges; what you get is what you sign up for at the time of application.

You will find these loans, to have terms and conditions as good as any other loan. Once approved you usually get it within 24 hours, sometimes within just a couple of hours. The whole process will take only two minutes and typically within 2 hours you can have the cash transferred to your bank account. Doesn’t this make you feel comfortable? This is the easiest solution you may have with any small financial crisis.

Is there a drawback?

The simple rule to getting a cash advance loan is that you should have a job or a payday due. A cash advance is meant for helping in a short term crisis and are for relatively small amounts. Usually the maximum limit for this loan is $1,500. It is the most convenient option that I know of. The only drawback being that you will be short from your next payday. But when you know beforehand that you won’t have that money to spend, you will take control of your spending and budget appropriately.

The environment has written you a citation

Your payday loan source says you’ll save money if you don’t buy a Hummer. You’ll likely save on your car’s purchase price, insurance, gas… and traffic tickets.

Ben Mack of Wired gives us yet another reason to downgrade to smaller, more economical, more environmentally-friendly cars. Apparently, Hummer drivers receive nearly five times more (4.63 to be exact) tickets than the average driver.

Quality Planning Corp. surveyed data from 1.7 million drivers and discovered that the Hummer models H2 and H3 are the most frequently ticketed vehicles on the road. At the opposite extreme, the GMC Sierra CL1500 pickup was least likely to be ticketed. OK, maybe that isn’t the most economical car…

Back to the drawing board?

“The sense of power that Hummer drivers derive from their vehicle may be directly correlated with the number of violations they incur, or perhaps Hummer drivers, by virtue of their driving position, are less likely to notice road hazards, signs, pedestrians and other drivers,” said Raj Bhat, president of Quality Planning Corp.

The study suggests such an attitude is unique to Hummer drivers and doesn’t apply to everyone in an SUV. Mechanically, the Hummer resembles a Chevy Tahoe, but Tahoe drivers were ticked less than average. Other cars below average include the Jaguar XJ and Buick Lucerne.

Mack claims that while there are those who hate the Hummer, there’s not a lot of corroborating evidence suggesting cops target specific vehicles for tickets. A lot of people argue people in red cars are more likely to get stopped, for example, but others say that’s a myth.

Whatever the case, statistically, if you aren’t driving a Hummer, you’re less likely to receive a ticket. Fewer tickets means more disposable income during the current recession. But if you do get into a jam and you won’t have the extra money to cover until your next payday, a payday loan can help.

Be fruitful, be solvent

Brought to you by your Payday Loan source. Japan is headed for extinction. It isn’t because of economic crisis, war or natural disaster, Godzilla included. Moreover, it isn’t due to overcrowding. In fact, it’s quite the opposite of overcrowding. Couples in Japan are coupling at an alarmingly low rate; children are being born at the rate of only 1.34 per family, which experts agree is far too low to maintain the country’s current population. Aside from there being fewer people, this will have a drastic economic effect that your payday loan source fears could in turn hurt the interconnected world economy.

David Turner of The Financial Times recently reported in his article “Japan’s Mating Culture Extends Baby Drought” at http://yaleglobal.yale.edu/display.article?id=3686:

For rich countries, a low birth rate means lower economic growth, which transforms politics by provoking “shifts in the political weights of countries in the international arena”. There are domestic implications, too. Increasing numbers of people may have “no, or few, immediate family ties”, a greater strain on public services.

Japan has work to do

Twelve-hour workdays six or seven days per week will strangle the best in anyone. Perhaps fewer people need things like payday advance loans when they work that much, but Japan’s credit crisis may indicate otherwise. Zombies of the workplace do not make for an inspired society. As human beings, we must court the creative fire, the vital spark, if we are to survive. From the board room to the bedroom, if we do not have the chance to connect with ourselves and those we love, performance will suffer.

And it is suffering. With such a low birthrate, something must be done. Perhaps Canon and Keidanren have the right idea. They’re letting workers go early twice per week, with the mandate to “go forth and multiply.” Ideally, this will address the birth rate problem and allow companies to cut back on overtime during the world economic crisis. Yet the high cost of living and rebellion against the culture’s traditional view of the role of women in society are also major factors.

Babies for budgets – NOW

Your payday loan> source understands the concepts behind global overcrowding, but Japan is working its people to death. Pride in work should never replace pride in bringing life to the world. With new generations to power the economy, global credit will improve. Payday loans may be around for many consumers when extra money is needed, but the root problem for Japan must be solved between the sheets.

We are getting closer to concluding this series on credit provided by personalmoneystore.com’s payday loans money blog.

We hope that the information provided thus far has been helpful to you in obtaining, reviewing and understanding your credit report as well as how credit works in general.

Now that you have reviewed your credit report, you may have found some errors. These errors, insignificant as they my seem, can prove devastating to your financial options over time.

Imagine what you would save on your home mortgage payment if your interest rate was a 1 to 2 percent lower. Your credit score can make a big difference on rates such as these, so working toward improving your credit score by fixing any errors can save you lots of extra money over time.

Finding Errors On Your Report

We all make mistakes, including our creditors. When creditors report your personal information to the credit bureaus, and when the credit bureaus update your personal credit report, mistakes are sometimes made that can cause you as the consumer to suffer undeserved consequences. Therefore, you must take ample time to look over your report to assure its accuracy.

Choose Your Errors Wisely

When reporting errors, you will want to pick and choose your disputes wisely. If you see a discrepancy such as the wrong creditor’s name or a recorded date on an older account that is inaccurate, it is best to leave these undisputed, as these issues do not have any real effect on your credit rating.

Additionally, remember when you dispute an error on your credit report, make sure you have the necessary documentation to back it up. Failing to have adequate support for your claims will get your dispute discarded as well as any other dispute that you file in the next 12-month period. So report only those errors that have a negative bearing on your credit rating.

The Law is on Your Side

When it comes to your credit, the law is on your side. If you have a dispute and the documentation to prove it, the credit bureaus must do their part to resolve it, or they will be held in violation of the laws protecting consumers. Be sure to make copies of everything you send to the credit bureaus so you have the necessary means to force the issue if your dispute fails to get addressed appropriately.

The Most Common Mistakes You’ll Find

Creditor Information that is InaccurateUsually errors such as these don’t matter a whole lot, but if you are insistent upon eliminating the error, request that the item be deleted. The bureaus will then delete the information or contact the creditor to verify the mistake in question. Therefore, if at all possible, try to clear the error with you creditor first before making the request to the credit bureaus to edit your personal report.Don’t expect to find all your accounts on your report. Some accounts, such as those established with payday loans lenders, don’t typically report information to the credit bureaus.

Inaccurate Credit LimitsIf you see that any of your credit limits are higher than they actually are, you will want to report them as inaccurate because it shows you have more financial liability than you actually do.

Inaccurate Account TypesIf you have closed an account that is reported open on your credit report, this too can hurt your credit rating. Some inaccuracies, however, may actually help you in your pursuit of good credit, such as a loan that you may already paid off that has duplicate entries on your report. This will only show that you have been consistently responsible. Leave it alone!

Inaccurate BalancesContrary to the above, if you have a account that you owe money on that is reported twice or more on your report, this will hurt you in that it shows you have more outstanding debts than you really do.This is a common scenario that often happens with consumers who have been turned over to collections. A credit report will show two accounts owed, the account with the creditor that turned them over to collections and the new collection account. Both will show the same debt.If this happens to you, you can have the original account deleted as the original creditor has sold your account to the collection agency.

Inaccurate Reports of Delinquency or Late PaymentsThese errors can hurt you the worst. If you see a late payment or delinquent account on your credit report and can prove otherwise through either a printed online statement or receipt, you should not have any problem overturning the error on your report.

Welcome back to Part II of this series on “Financial Preservation in 2009,” courtesy of personalmoneystore.com’s payday loans money blog. This series will continue addressing how to prevent financial crisis as a result of unemployment in 2009 by preparing now.

Here are a few things you can do to save extra money today while you still have a job, so that you have the necessary emergency funds you need later this year if you find that you don’t.

Are Those Car Payments Really Necessary?

Nobody can blame you for wanting what is hot or the current trend, but when it comes to automobiles, staying with the current trend can cost you a lot of extra money.

When buying a new car, not only does it require high monthly payments but also higher insurance rates and higher taxes and licensing, delivering one whammy after another to your pocketbook, and needing payday loans to cover for it.

Is this really necessary? Downgrading to a newer used vehicle, or even an older model that has been nicely taken care of and properly maintained, will save you both in monthly payments and taxes and licensing.

You may even be able to trade your current vehicle for an older model that the dealer has gotten on a trade-in. This could get you out of payments altogether.

This should be carefully considered if you are concerned with your job’s longevity as it can save you thousands of dollars which, if saved as emergency funds, could preserve you in a time of financial need.

Downgrading Digital Services

Consumers today are gadget-obsessed, having a multitude of gadgets and digital subscriptions that may be cheap by themselves but add up to a considerable sum when considering other digital services in your home.

These digital services include things such as your cell phone, cable television, digital media, satellite radio or any other of the digital packages available today.

Examine each of the packages you have and decide whether they are used enough to justify what you are currently spending. After your evaluation, you will be able to determine whether to downgrade each respective package or terminate it all altogether.

Debt Consolidation And Payment Insurance

When loosing your job, payday loans are not typically an option due to employment requirements, which means the only funds that will be available to you during this time will be the funds from your unemployment office.

These funds alone will likely not be sufficient to pay your bills, leaving you to pick and choose between which bills you are going to pay and which bills you are not.

Defaulting with creditors wreaks havoc on your personal credit rating. You may have to hire one of the many credit repair services or credit repair companies to help you repair your credit in the event that you do so.

Defaults can take several years to cycle off your credit report, so what you do now will save you both time and money later.

Here are two things you can do now to better position yourself with your outstanding debts so that you won’t be forced to default on any of your current creditors down the road provided you still have them.

Payment Insurance

The first thing you can to is purchase payment insurance through your creditors. Payment insurance will pay your monthly minimum payments in the event that a financial crisis befalls you and you are not able to pay yourself.

The cost of payment insurance varies from one creditor to the next but it is usually a very small sum and is calculated based on the current balance of the account. For example it may be $1 for every $100 dollars of your current account balance.

Debt Consolidation

The second thing you can do is consolidate your debts. Preferably, consolidating your debts into your home mortgage would be the best option if you’re in a position to do so.

With the current interest rates on home loans as low as they are, it may be in your best interest to refinance your debts into your home mortgage.

This allows you to spread that debt over a 30-year term, making the payments far more manageable. You end up spending more in the long run, but it’s a nice safety net to keep you from defaulting with your creditors in the event of limited cash flow.

Lastly, don’t forget about the options we provide you here at personalmoneystore.com. If you find yourself in need of quick cash payday loans to avoid the more spendy late payment fees associated with many of your creditors, we can help. Provided you are still employed, that is.

Good luck in 2009!

When it comes to your personal finances, identifying where you can cut costs on your monthly bills can save you a lot of extra money as well as keep you from having to borrow a payday loans at the end of the month for the lack thereof.

Besides your home mortgage, there are few monthly expenses that will exceed that of the average family’s grocery bill. Their are a few strategies you can implement here to help you save the extra money which we know you can find a use for elsewhere.

Shopping For Savings

Shopping for savings is easy but requires a little effort and time for preparation but will pay big dividends for those who chose to do so. Here is a quick list of tips to get you started saving money on your grocery bill today.

Buying In Bulk

Buying in bulk is a common strategy used for saving extra cash in just about every category of consumer goods. Rarely however, do we implement the same strategy with our grocery bill. Most families pay a visit to the grocery store at least twice a week finding it easier to just shop for a few days at a time.

By sitting down and planning out meals a month in advance, you can go to your local wholesale depot and buy everything you need for the entire month with the exception of milk, on one grocery bill.

Planning ahead allows you to purchase larger containers and quantities of product which provides you savings benefits when shopping at many wholesale grocery suppliers.

When buying in bulk and shopping once a month, you also have the added benefit of saving the extra money on the gas and time it takes to go back and forth to and from the store each week.

When Buying in bulk make sure you have adequate cold storage space.

Finding Extra Food Storage

Buying in bulk may have it’s difficulties when it comes to food storage but believe it or not, you will find it much easier, more cost effective and well worth your while to clear out and designate an extra closet for pantry space if you have to.

Much depends on how you plan your meals for the month. You will want to be conscientious when it comes to refrigerated goods as you may be limited on cold storage place for vegetables, fruits, cheese and eggs unless you have an extra fridge in your basement or garage.

Freezer space may also be a factor so investing in a chest freezer may be well worth your while in the long run and will allow you to take advantage of periodic sales on meat and other freezer goods as they arise.

Comparison Shopping With Weekly Circulars

Like payday loans lenders, it pays to shop around for different providers. Of all the wholesale food suppliers in your area, Costco is usually the most popular but often times you may find better deals elsewhere so be sure to do a little comparison shopping before settling on you place of choice. It may pay to shop at two or three places depending on the deals that you may find in your weekly circulars or sales adds that are delivered to your door on a weekly basis. If don’t get them delivered to your door they will be freely available at your local grocery store. Invest the time to compare prices between the different retail chains and take advantage of the deals that you find before you set out shopping on the big day.

Planning Ahead Saves On Impulse Buying

By planning ahead and creating a list you also save extra cash by avoiding impulse buying. Often time we go to the store hungry or without an idea of what we really need which usually results in buying things we don’t need as well as forgetting the things that we do. Shopping without a plan or without a list results in wasteful spending and extra trips to the store.

The tips above will help get you well on your way to saving money, saving time, and even eating a healthier and more balanced diet depending on the time that you invest into the process.

Stay tuned to the payday loans money blog for part II of Grocery Shopping For Big Savings.

Being frugal will allow you to accomplish your present and future financial goals while allowing you to enjoy yourself today as well.

Organizing your finances may seem like a difficult, if not impossible, task. Consumers have more expenses today then ever before due to the variety of payment options that are available. From credit cards to payday loans, these finance options have found consumers who have used these tools irresponsibly, slipping further and further into debt.

Making Sense of Your Finances

The purpose of organizing your finances is to realize the following:

How much money you make on a monthly basis.

How and what you spend your money on.

To identify ways in which you can save extra cash

To plan effectively for your intermediate and future financial goals.

Don’t confuse being money conscience with being over frugal. Being frugal can be taken to great extremes. While that may be alright for some, you can be frugal without putting a vice on your pocket book. Many, such as myself and perhaps you as well, may like to go out on the town and splurge once in awhile.

By organizing your finances, you will be able to better save and allocate extra money to do both the things that you would like to do today, and the things you would like to do and or accomplish tomorrow.

Creating a Baseline for Financial Progress

Before we really dive into the strategies of financial planning, the first thing we need to do is create a baseline to compare our future financial progress to.

Calculating Net Worth

The best financial indicator of financial progress is your net worth. Net worth is simply what you are worth financially. You calculate net worth by taking the total cash value of all your assets, or the things that you own, followed by the deduction of all your liabilities or the things that you owe.

Difference Between Assets and Liabilities

To put a clearer distinction on the difference between assets and liabilities, we will outline a few of each to help you determine the difference.

As mentioned above assets are the things that you own. However, what you own and what you owe can get a little confusing sometimes.

A home is a perfect example and is considered an asset, but it is also a liability. When creating a financial baseline by determining your net worth, you need to record the equitable portion of your home’s value as an asset and the rest of which you owe, as a liability.

For example, if my house was worth $200,000 and I still owed $80,000 on the home’s mortgage, I would declare $120,000 as an asset, because selling the home tomorrow would yield the equitable portion of the mortgage that has been acquired through both appreciation over time as well as individual monthly payments.

Cars should be done the same way. With cars you will want to get the blue book value and compare that to what you may still owe on the auto loan.

Other Assets to Include

Other things that would be considered assets would be the current values in your checking and savings accounts, 401k’s or other retirement accounts. If you have any stocks, bonds or mutual funds you will want to be sure to include those in your asset allocation as well.

Other Liabilities to Include

Liabilities are a little more straightforward. Anything that you owe is considered a liability. Outstanding personal loans, payday loans, auto loans and credit card balances are all examples of liabilities.

The Final Calculation

Now that you have determined what your assets and liabilities are as well as the values of each, you will want to subtract the total value of your liabilities from the total value of your assets. The difference will be your net worth.

Below is an illustrated example :

Assets

Home Value (equitable portion) $120,000

Car (equitable portion) $1,500

401k $5,500

Savings Account $960

Total Asset Value = $127,960

Liabilities

Mortgage $80,000

Car Loan $4,250

Payday Loan $425

Student Loans $8750

Credit Card Balances $11,100

Total Liability Value = $104,525

Total Net worth = $23,425

Don’t be discouraged if your net worth equals a low or even negative value. The purpose here is simply to establish a base line that we can compare ourselves to later to see our financial progress over time.

This concludes Part I of this series. Determine your baseline or net worth and then come back to the blog for Part 2 of the “Frugal Finance” series posted courtesy of the payday loans blog at personalmoneystore.com

Implementing one or all of the strategies below will guarantee you financial savings and help each payday stretch a little further.

Eliminate impulse buying

Impulse buying is the primary cause of consumer credit debt. We tend to “impulse buy” when we go shopping with only a vague idea of what we are shopping for. This results in extra cash being spent on things that are either not needed, or unnecessary.

When you go shopping, whether it be for Christmas, birthdays, or groceries, be sure to write your self a list of what it is that you have in mind.

You will also want to guesstimate the expenses so that you have a realistic expectation of what the day’s shopping is going to cost you and therefore help you to prioritize your purchases , control impulse buying and stop the accrual of unnecessary debt.

Investing in a new car filter can save you money

The last thing many of us ever get around to is vehicle maintenance however staying up-to-date on your vehicle’s tune-ups can and will save you extra money in the long run.

Regular maintenance prevents one problem from starting another, and when it comes to things such as clean oil, your fuel efficiency is the big money saver.

One such example is your air filter. Changing out a dirty and clogged air filter can save you up to 10% in fuel efficiency. This equates to about $.15 cents per gallon of fuel.

Expect More From Your Bank

When it come to banking and the payday loans industry, remember that it pays to shop. Each has their own fee structures that they uphold with their customers or clients so doing a little research before settling on a choice can pay you dividends in the long run. With payday loans in particular, you can use a broker such as personalmoneystore.com who will help to match you with the best lender possible.

When setting up an account with your bank be sure to obtain a list of fees and attempt to negotiate the fees with your account representative. The banking industry is a very competitive field and will wave fees just to keep you as a customer.

If you have a considerable chunk of change that you hold in reserve in your savings account then you should be able to request free checking as well. Remember the bank uses your money to make money, and when you leave, your money leaves with you as does the banks opportunity to make money with your money.

Pay Off Your Monthly Credit Card Balances

Americans on average can pay up to a thousand dollars a year in credit card interest. By paying off your credit card balance in full each month you save yourself a fortune over time.

If you already have a substantial debt accumulated on your credit card you can save money on the monthly interest fees by performing a balance transfer. Introductory credit card offers will give you anywhere from 6 to 18 months at a 0% interest rate, giving you a chance to make some headway on your debt and avoid additional fees as well.

Keep your eye on personalmoneystore.com’s payday loans blog for additional money saving tips in part two of this series on Witty Living.

As more Americans in need of payday loans try to figure out ways to save extra money, many people are asking: Is private college worth it?

Most people know that education is a good investment. College degrees fetch higher salaries, thus giving the student a return on his or her investment. But does higher tuition mean a better education or a better salary? A report at from SmartMoney.com addresses this question.

Price difference

For students who move to a different state to go to college, private schools cost about 30 percent more. Stay home to go to school and that difference jumps to about 75 percent.

So going to a public school in your home state costs a quarter of what it would cost to go to a private school.

Speaking of price difference, the fees on payday loans are often less than the costs incurred from bounced checks or bills that are paid late.

Nuts and bolts

The SmartMoney report analyzed the cost of private school versus public schools based on out-of-state tuition. It looked at the cost of attending 50 university and the salaries of alumni three years later and 15 years later.

The results are not surprising. While many Ivy leaguers do make higher salaries, the extra money they spend repaying their student loans cuts greatly into the return on their investment.

All about the Benjamins

SmartMoney’s survey looked at financial gain only. It didn’t factor in the other reasons students go to college. It didn’t measure how well-educated graduates were.

The formula, which used PayScale.com to find out the alumni salaries, simply compares dollars and cents. For some students, college is all about the experience. Many graduates don’t even get jobs in their field of study. And private schools do boast a higher faculty-to-student ratio.

But in terms of cost versus earning potential only, it’s no surprise that public schools topped the list. Here are the schools that came out on top.

Winners

No. 1: University of Georgia, which offered an average 338 percent return on students’ investments.

No. 2: Texas A&M, 315 percent

No. 3: University of Texas, Austin, 306 percent

No. 4: Georgia Tech, 263 percent

No. 5: University of Washington, 225 percent

An imperfect model

Looks like Texas and Georgia are the places to go to get the most bang for your buck. But keep in mind that these figures are based on out-of-state tuition and fees. Also, the study only “looked at what graduates from 50 of the most expensive four-year colleges earn in their early and midcareers.”

So there are even less expensive schools out there that could potentially give you an even larger return on your investment. Another way to save money on getting an education is to get an associate’s degree from a community college, then transfer to a four-year college. Community colleges generally don’t charge out-of-state fees.

One college-girl’s opinion

As a college graduate myself, here’s my model for the least expensive way to get a degree:

Go to community college first. Tuition is a fraction of what it costs to go to a four-year university. After you transfer and get your bachelor’s degree, it’ll carry just as much weight as everyone else’s.

If you want to go to an out-of state school: Most states consider you a resident after you’ve lived there one year, as long as you only go to school part-time. So move to the place where you want to go to school, attend community college part-time for a year. Then you’ll be able to pay in-state tuition and fees for the rest of your college career.

In the end, extra money saved will turn into extra money earned, and you’ll be less likely to need payday loans.

Thank you for visiting the payday loans blog at personalmoneystore.com. With the new year just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking of your 2009 resolutions. There are no better resolutions to be made this coming year than those regarding personal finances.

Consumers across the nation are in a constant struggle to stay on top of their finances. Layoffs and pay cuts are reaching record highs and the credit is crunch causing creditors to increase minimum payments and interest rates. Learning methods that can save you money and exercising those options faithfully may just save your skin in 2009, and getting payday loans if you need to can help make it happen.

Here are a few things to consider for the new year.

Take Inventory of Your Debts

Take the time to sit and put all your outstanding debts on paper so you can see where you stand financially. Most people who fall into uncontrollable debt have a hard time figuring out how they got there. This is because we never see the big picture when it comes to what we owe. We are used to seeing bite-sized portions of what we owe each time until a bill comes . One day we wake up to find that there is not enough money in the bank to cover our minimum payments.

Record and Visualize Your Debt

Write down each creditor, how much you owe and the minimum payment and interest rate for each creditor you owe.

Next, make yourself a visual chart or bar graph of what you owe total. This is never a pretty thing to look at, but putting it on your fridge or bathroom mirror where it is consistently before your eyes will do some wonderful things for you.

First, it will remind you of your debt on a day-to-day basis so you can be consistent in your endeavor to pay it off.

Secondly, as you pay off your debt you can incrementally mark your chart accordingly. Seeing your progress over time will encourage you to stay in the fight to become debt free.

With this new awareness, you will be amazed at how much extra money you will be able to find each month to apply toward your debt. It’s like payday loans that you don’t have to pay back.

Practice Responsible Spending

(image from flickr)

This coming year you will also want to increase your awareness of the amount of money you spend and the things you spend your money on. A lot of the purchases we make each month are unnecessary or could be planned better to save you money.

When you go to the store it’s better to have an organized list of the things you need. All to often we go to the store hungry and without a list, which encourages us to spend money on “eye candy” or whatever looks good at the moment. What you end up bringing home is usually a lot of expensive junk or snack food.

An organized grocery list will help hold you only buy the things you need and therefore saving you money that you can put toward your debt each month.

Cutting Costs And Making It Count

Besides cutting down your grocery bill, you can also save money in other areas. We all pay more than we have to each month on luxuries we choose.

These luxuries include things like your current television programming package, cell phone package or internet package. If you are serious about paying down and paying off your debt, you may want to consider down-grading your entertainment and communications options by choosing cheaper alternatives.

Making A Better Tomorrow Starting Today

Eliminating debt requires a personal decision and commitment to change that only you can make. Get started today — you won’t regret it!

Stay tuned to the payday loans money blog tomorrow for more helpful tips on paying off your debt in 2009.

Mr. President, your people are in critical need!

The people of Zimbabwe, Africa, are still in desperate need of emergency funds. Similar to how some people defy the use of instant payday loans, the country’s president Robert Mugabe is somewhat in denial of what is really happening in the deteriorating nation.

There is a Cholera Epidemic

In a recent article I discussed the country’s deteriorating health conditions, which are threatening the lives of thousands of Zimbabweans. Sadly, hundreds have weakened and surrendered to this terrible tribulation. There’s no doubt that instant payday loans, along with a substantial plan, is needed to provide this nation the medical help it desperately needs. Mugabe, however, seems to be ambivalent to this reality.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Great Britain is urging all nations to stand together to defend human rights and democracy in Zimbabwe and to tell President Mugabe that “enough is enough.” Despite Mugabe’s apathy, Brown continues to emphasize the importance of getting medicine to those in need. The prime minister has also issued a statement declaring that the first priority is to deliver aid to Zimbabwe, including rehydration and disease-testing packs. He has emphasized to the United Nations Security Council that the country’s catastrophic conditions are in urgent need of attention. Mugabe continues to argue that Zimbabwe is not in critical condition. He claims there was no cholera and says the country’s health crisis is over. He describes Brown and President Bush as “crooks … guilty of deliberate lies in order to commit acts of aggression.”

“What’s the Real Deal?”

The government in Zimbabwe is shattered, and the state is unable (and seems to be unwilling) to protect its people from this crisis that has become an international emergency. It seems Mugabe is more concerned about his presidential seat than the livelihood and well-being of his people. Despite abundant physical evidence of the spreading cholera in Zimbabwe, Mugabe’s government continues to veer divert focus to other irrelevant concerns, accusing Western powers of attempting to exploit the crisis to force his departure. President Bush, along with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, has called recently for the 84-year-old leader to step down.

Sikhanyiso Ndlovu, Zimbabwean minister of information and publicity, told reporters, “I don’t have kind words for all heads of state who have made utterances against Zimbabwe, one by one, and I hope this is the last time they open their dirty mouths on Zimbabwe.” With this kind of outlook, it appears this mission will only become more difficult to achieve, and the medical and political conditions in Zimbabwe will continue to deteriorate. Without any assistance from the government, the people of Zimbabwe can only stand on the sidelines and hope for a resolution. In almost the same way, without the help of instant payday loans when an unexpected expense arise, getting your finances back in perspective can be a lot more difficult to handle.

No Money Without a Plan

Instant payday loans are essential in situations like this. And those who assist with aid and development must be responsible and capable of devising a productive plan to prepare for unexpected circumstances. Emergency funds are vital, but what’s more important than the amount of financial aid is budgeting the use of the money. It’s like instant payday loans; if you use them irresponsibly, you are setting yourself up for future disappointment.

Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich has been charged with using an unconventional method to try to pull in extra money: selling a seat in the state senate.

Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, has accused Gov. Rod Blagojevich of using unconventional methods to obtain extra money, and we’re not talking about a cash advance. Madigan is asking the state’s Supreme Court to temporarily remove him from office.

Blagojevich has been charged with trying to sell President-elect Barack Obama’s senate seat to the highest bidder. Madigan filed the charge in federal court this morning. She has also asked that the state allow Lt. Gov. Patrick Quinn to take over Blagojevic’s post.

Senate seat for sale

U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald has said that secret tape recordings were made of Blagojevich attempting to sell the senate seat over the phone. Blagojevich was arrested Dec. 9. Along with the solicitation of bribery charge that he faces for allegedly trying to sell Obama’s senate seat, he was also charged with attempting to commit mail and wire fraud.

Fitzgerald also seized the Governor’s eBay account, after at least one parody posting offered up the senate seat as a joke. I wonder if any eBay users took out a cash advance to buy the Senate seat.

Road to a scandal

Blagojevich has been in hot water for the duration of his political career. A Democrat who voted for Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, he won a seat in the Illinois House of Representatives in 1992, largely because of the influence of his father-in-law, Richard Mell. It’s rumored that the support of his father-in-law is what propelled him all the way to the governor’s mansion. He was the first Democrat to become governor of Illinois in 30 years.

Among other scuffles he had with his fellow Democrats during his political career, he was the only Democrat from Illinois to vote in favor of the Iraq War in 2002. In his current role as governor he is often opposed by his own party members, particularly when it comes to budget issues.

Blagojevich has been the target of multiple federal investigations and currently has historically low approval ratings.

Alternative to Blagojevich

Madigan is imploring the state Supreme Court to appoint Quinn take over Blagojevich’s post immediately. Quinn began his professional career as a tax attorney, but eventually got into politics. He served as Illinois’ State Treasurer from 1991 to 1995.

Quinn ran for Secretary of State and for U.S. Senate before his successful campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Illinois. He is considered a serious candidate for Obama’s vacant senate seat.

Madigan states her case

Madigan has cited several reasons to back up her assertion that Blagojevich should be immediately removed from his post. An order from the court for him to cease his position would go through more quickly than an impeachment. She insists that it is crucial for the transfer of power to occur quickly so that the government of Illinois can continue to operate.

She also points out that Blagojevich’s power to appoint a new senator should be stripped because of the charges that he attempted to use that power for his own political and financial gain. Because of these charges, she says, he should also be blocked from being able to spend state money, and thus cannot serve as governor during his trial.

Madigan’s basic message seems clear enough: if you’re a politician in search of extra money, make sure your methods of obtaining it are ethical, like a cash advance.

Payday Loans Can Help

There are many reasons why you might use quick payday loans. An unexpected bill can arrive at an inappropriate time, or maybe your car breaks down and you won’t be able to get to and from work because of the lack of extra funds to cover the cost. People use quick payday loans in emergency situations. Not only can they save you money by helping you avoid bounced checks and late fees on a bill, but they can help get you out of a heartrending, disastrous situation. I would like to share a story of a really great friend of mine.

Best Friends Forever

Megan grew up in a loving home in Parker, Colorado. Although she was raised in a family that did not indulge in many of the material luxuries in life, such as fancy cars and mansion-like homes, she was the happiest kid on the block. Megan, along with her two sisters and a brother, were the most polite and well-behaved children I could remember during my childhood. They were thankful and treasured every little thing they had. I met Megan in my second grade class and became friends immediately. We went everywhere together; school, church, and every recreation event. For almost two years, for extra money, we even waitressed at the same restaurant. I became a part of her family as much as she became a part of mine.

We Said Goodbye and Went Our Separate Ways

Megan’s father was a school bus driver and her mother worked as a housekeeper. Although both her parents had never completed high school, education was a must in their family. Not only were they polite and well-behaved, they were the brightest kids I knew. Come to think of it, Megan was always my tutor during my high school days. If I had a question or was unsure of something regarding any school assignment, I was sure I’d find peace of mind through Megan and her family. We went our separate ways after high school. Megan was offered a scholarship to attend one of the best schools, and considering the fact she came from a family that was in need of an extra cash flow, she was thrilled to be offered such an opportunity. We tried to stay in contact and exchange on-line memos as much as possible. After a period of time, I received an unexpected call from her, excitingly announcing her engagement with “the sweetest guy” she’d ever met. After her marriage, our relationship was put on a complete halt – until our reunion last year. I would never have guessed what she had endured.

What Really Happened?

A couple months into her marriage things got pretty ugly. It turned out “Joe” was not the man she thought he’d be. She was his prisoner, restricted from the world. Fortunately, she was able to keep a part-time job. Since she was cut off from her family, friends and her personal assets, her situation only got worse. It breaks my heart just thinking of it. She detailed the terrible aspects of her marriage (which I prefer not to enclose) and how she found the strength to escape.

Hope, Recovery, and Quick Payday Loans

Bottom-line is I’m glad Megan is doing better now. She would not be here today if she hadn’t escaped when she did. Her scars are still visible, but if it weren’t for the help of loyal friends, their support and a couple of quick payday loans, she probably would not have had the chance for her wounds to heal. Payday loans have saved many people from heading towards a tragedy and have also provided assistance to recovery – even with something as devastating as Megan’s.

Before you get married it is important that the couple sits down and talk finances- even if it means taking out no fax payday loans. Marriage means you’re not only marrying that person but all of their debt too. Sometimes this is the last thing on your mind that needs to get done before you tie the knot but realistically this should be the first. Getting married entails combining assets and important to remember, combining debt. Combining the debt is an increasingly stressful thing that people don’t think about nor do they want to think about because debt is never fun. But you may just want your significant other to clear that up before becoming a husband and wife before you both become obligated to that debt that the other incurred.

Different Approaches to take when Dealing with Finances Together

Always remember that now that you are about to get married that you’re no longer flying solo; you are a team with your partner. Sometimes finances get in the way of love, so take a step back from your frustration and remember that we all have quirks and this just happens to be your partner’s. This means even if they have taken no fax payday loans to get by at times, they must make sure to pay that back properly sometimes people need to make mistakes before they know how to do it right the next time. Steps to making this situation better once married:

Create a shared account and put all the money into this account. Pay the bills and anything you do together out of this account.

With the extra money left over after all the bills are paid, split equally and then put it into two separate accounts. This way if your partner has debt, they can pay it with their half of the money.

If you are not quite ready for these steps yet, look at these five key things that all couples need to look over before tying the knot:

Taxes- Whatever your marital status is on December 31 is how you file for that year. Be aware of this when deciding on what to do with your finances for the year.

Combining Finances- Again you will have to, in some form, have a mutual account for bills, but get used to one another’s ways of doing finances and try and compromise in how you two can do this together. Try and keep at least one personal account for each of you.

Community vs. Separate Assets- Remember once you are married, so is everything you buy together but only in certain states. The community property states include: Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. This means if you live in these states everything a married couple buys together, even if one partner pays for all of it, becomes both party’s property. This does not include receiving gifts or inheritances. Separate assets are anything that a partner brought into the marriage, that they can leave with at the end of the marriage.

Debt- Try to tell each other not only what kind of debt you each have but what assets you have so that you are starting out on even ground. This will help each of you know what kind of emergency cash you have in case of an accident.

Once each of you have sat down and discussed these topics, you should feel better about where each of you stand when it comes to the finances of you as a couple.

Marriage is never easy and one can never map out what is going to happen in life, so when it comes to your finances–take it in stride. Money is the number one reason marriages fail, so to go over this with your partner is critical. No matter what one does, sooner or later you will hit a rough patch either in your marriage or your finances in general. If you need help getting through a hard patch in your finances and regain some footing, no fax payday loans can help your marriage and finances to get back on track.
