Apparently airing the Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 Winners show at night was not a very good business decision for the Emmy organizers. I mean, it’s the Daytime Emmy Awards, right? Shouldn’t the show be, I don’t know, in the daytime?

Anyway, the trouble is that some of the Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 Winners’ speeches didn’t make it onto the CW, the network airing the Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 Winners. The broadcast was cut off at 10 p.m., even though the show went on afterward. I have all the information you need about Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winners.

Best Drama Series

Apparently “Best Drama Series” is a fancy way of saying “soap opera,” kind of like instant cash loan is another way of saying payday loan. Anywho, that award went to “The Bold and the Beautiful” for the first time. This also marked the first time in 22 years that a CBS program has won Best Drama Series.

By the time this Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winner was announced, the CW had ceased its broadcast, despite the fact that this is considered the biggest award at the Daytime Emmy Awards. Last year this award went to “General Hospital.”

Best Talk Show Host

Ellen DeGeneres has held the honor of Best Talk Show host for four years, but the Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winners for Best Talk Show Host were the women of “The View.”

This makes absolutely no sense to me. Why would anyone choose to watch a group of women try to talk over each other and everyone else when they could watch Ellen have phone conversations with old women who say things like “I love Jesus, but I do drink a little”? I do not understand this Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winner, and apparently the women from “The View” were not expecting it because they weren’t even at the awards show.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winner for Lifetime Achievement was “Sesame Street,” which has been on the air for 40 years. I guess one can’t really argue with that.

Kevin Clash, who plays Elmo, was the Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winner for Best Performer in a children’s series. I bet Elmo would also win for “making the most money off of merchandise” if there were such an award.

Actors and actresses

The Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winner for Lead Actress in a Drama Series went to Susan Haskell of “One Life to Live.” Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series is Christian LeBlanc from “The Young and the Restless.”

Tamara Braun from “Days of Our Lives” won Best Supporting Actress in a drama series. There was a tie between Vincent Irizarry, “All My Children,” and Jeff Branson, “Guiding Light” for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

Youngsters

When I saw the category Best Younger Actress in a Drama Series, I kind of expected the awards would go to child actors and actresses, but apparently 25 is “younger.” That’s the age of Julie Berman from “General Hospital,” who took home that award.

Best Younger Actor in a Drama Series went to 25-year-old Darin Brooks from “Days of Our Lives.”

Fun and games

The Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winner for Best Game-Audience Participation Show went to “Cash Cab,” everybody’s favorite random trivia for random people show.

Best Game Show Host went to Meredith Vieira, who is the host of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

Talking about talk shows

Best Talk Show-Entertainment went to “Rachael Ray,” and Best Talk Show-Informative went to “The Tyra Banks Show.” Who would have thought Tyra Banks would grow up to have the best informative talk show?

Best Morning Program went to “Good Morning America.” Other Daytime Emmy Awards 2009 winners include “One Life to Live” for Best Directing in a Drama Series and “General Hospital” for Best Writing in a Drama Series.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt is on the move, trying to raise awareness of the lasting repercussions of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and you should be aware that payday loans can be an aid when a natural disaster hits. Hurricane Katrina devastated Louisiana over three years ago, but life in New Orleans still has not returned to normalcy. Lower Ninth Ward, the New Orleans neighborhood hit hardest by Hurricane Katrina remains in shambles; much of the Lower Ninth Ward is still uninhabited and unlivable. Brad Pitt and many others are fighting to rebuild New Orleans into the city it once was, with or without payday loans.

Pitt Appears on Ellen DeGeneres Show and Larry King Live

With an ever-increasing bombardment of advertising and marketing stimuli, Americans are difficult to connect with, especially when it comes to community outreach and charity. America’s indifference is why having a celebrity spokesperson, and one that truly backs up the cause, is so essential to getting Americans to take action. A spokesperson like Brad Pitt can grab a lot of attention. Brad Pitt appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today via satellite from the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans. Brad Pitt will also be featured on Larry King Live tonight. So what’s all the fuss about? Why all the TV appearances? Brad Pitt is championing an effort to build affordable homes in New Orleans. Brad Pitt is telling Ellen DeGeneres, Larry King, and America the significance of the Make It Right Project.

Make It Right Project

Make it Right Project

The Make It Right Project is a plan to build 150 new homes in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. Brad Pitt expects families will be in these new homes by the end of summer 2009. However, Brad Pitt cannot complete this project on his own, and contrary to popular belief, the houses constructed with the help of Make It Right are not free. Pitt described Make It Right as an adopt-a-house campaign. These houses cost money, and that’s why Pitt is asking for help from all Americans. Pitt has already donated $5 million of his own money, but he is also asking for donations from anyone who can afford to help, including foundations, well-off individuals, churches, and corporations. One eco-friendly house costs just $150,000 because Make It Right is committed to building homes that are affordable, sustainable, and true to the culture of New Orleans. As of today, 86 of the 150 homes have been sponsored.

A Little Help from Your Friends

Three years ago, Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans. Three years. The people of New Orleans’ desperately need our help because three years is far too long to wait for a new home. You wouldn’t wait three years for help, so why should the residents of the Lower 9th Ward? It’s simply unacceptable. A need is a need, and most needs are immediate. What would happen if you faced an emergency or natural disaster and you needed money to cover costs right away? Three years wouldn’t cut it, and neither would one day. An emergency requires fast action, so if you find ever find yourself in need of quick cash, more often than not, you can have payday loans direct deposited into your account by the end of the day.
