Not your ordinary Cheeto

Yes, yet another food item has surfaced that appears to resemble a holy figure. It’s not the Virgin Mary this time; it’s Jesus himself — or Cheesus, as his discoverers like to call him.

A Dallas couple found Cheesus, a Cheeto that they say resembles Jesus kneeling in prayer, in a 99-cent bag of Cheetos they bought at a gas station.

Finding Cheesus

The bag of Cheetos came from a gas station in Dallas. The Bells picked up the snacks before they left town on a trip.

Sara Bell was the one who found Cheesus and pointed him out to her husband, Dan Bell. Cheesus is about two inches tall — pretty big for a Cheeto.

Cashing in on Cheesus

The couple says they are thinking about selling it on eBay. It’s tough to predict how much people will be willing to spend on a likeness of Christ in Cheeto form, so who knows whether you’ll need money loans to pay for Cheesus, or if you can cover the cost with the change in your couch.

Cheesus finders NOT crazy

The Bells seem to be taking their discovery with a grain of salt. Or several, considering their snack choice.

“It is a reminder of our blessings from God, but primarily I think it’s a funny Cheeto,” Sara Bell said in a video posted by an Orlando news outlet.

Dan talked about the possibility of selling it on eBay, recognizing that results from similar sales in the past have been quite mixed.

“It could be 25 cents; it could be $25. Thing is, if it’s only 25 cents we’re probably just going to eat it.”

Considering that Cheesus made the front page in their hometown, it’s possible that the item will garner a tidy sum on eBay, thanks to the attention Cheesus has been getting.

Cheesus is everywhere

The Bells’ discovery has already become somewhat of an internet sensation. Clearly, word of Jesus has spread pretty far, considering news outlets across the country have reported on it.

The Orlando news site has posted a photo slideshow that highlights some of the more well-known Jesus or Virgin Mary sightings in everyday objects. There has even been a Jesus-shaped Cheeto before, but that one was in a hanging-on-the-cross position.

More divine sightings

Check out the slideshow if you want to see a rock that people say either resembles Jesus or George Washington, Virgin Mary in a muffin pan, Jesus in a tree and several more. There are 13 photos all together.

The Bells very well could end up making a small fortune on Cheesus. After all, a few years ago a 10-year-old grilled cheese sandwich said to bear the image of the Virgin Mary sold on eBay for $28,000. The sandwich went to a Casino owner who placed the Virgin Mary sandwich on display.

It sounds crazy, but it might not be a bad business decision. In the late ’70s, a woman in Mexico said she had a tortilla with the image of Jesus burned into it. She got so many visitors wanting to see the Jesus tortilla that she started leaving her door unlocked so people could view the “miracle” at will.

Word has spread quickly about Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle. She appeared on “Britain’s Got Talent” last week, and she hasn’t left the spotlight since. She appeared on CNN’s “American Morning” today, and reported that she was “absolutely gobsmacked” by her sudden fame.

Meaning of “gobsmacked”: very surprised, dumbfounded.

What’s all the fuss?

So why has this “Britain’s Got Talent” performer suddenly skyrocketed to fame? Well, it seems the judges and the audience were gobsmacked as well. They took one look at her and expected the worst.

But the 47-year-old Scottish charity worker surprised everyone with a rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables” that moved people all over the world to tears.

Will fame lead to fortune?

One fan who was moved to tears: “Today Show” host Kathie Lee Gifford. Boyle has also been interviewed on CBS. Word on the street is now Oprah Winfrey is seeking an interview.

So who stands to cash in in Boyle’s success? Certainly Boyle herself could make a pretty penny off of the limelight through cash advances on record deals. If she has ever considered seeking debt relief help, she probably won’t need to worry about that anymore.

Foreshadowing of fate?

“Britain’s Got Talent” winner Paul Potts, who took the title in 2007, went on to have a No. 1 album in 15 countries. If Boyle follows in his footsteps, she’ll be raking in the Benjamins in no time. The 10 finalists for this season’s “Britain’s Got Talent” won’t be announced until the end of May, but I think the entire world will be absolutely gobsmacked if she doesn’t make it.

As with many internet and TV sensations before her, everyone wants a piece of the Susan Boyle action.

Get your Susan Boyle merchandise!

A 10-year old recording of Boyle singing “Cry Me a River” recently surfaced, and people are already hawking it on eBay. The song is from a CD that was recorded for charity in 1999. You can also purchase a pink T-shirt proclaiming “I (heart) Susan Boyle!”

Boyle’s amazing singing voice and her appearance have sparked debate in the United States about whether someone who doesn’t fit entertainment-industry standards of beauty can be turned into a real money-making machine. We will find out soon enough.

The two tickets for Monday’s Citi Field opener owned by Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities were bid up to $2,325 by 8 p.m. EDT Friday on eBay. Seats 5-6 in the eighth row in section 11, just to the home plate side of the New York Mets’ dugout, are being sold by the trustee overseeing the liquidation of Madoff’s businesses.

Hurry-deadline is coming

Thirty-six bids had been made for the tickets, which are called Delta Club Gold and come with access to the Delta Club behind home plate. The tickets retail for $525 apiece, and there is a deadline of 9:56 a.m. EDT Sunday to bid for the seats.

There are more tickets coming

The lawyer unraveling Madoff’s multi-billion dollar empire, Irving Picard, worked out a deal with the Mets, returning to the team two $695 seats in the second row, called Delta Club Platinum, in exchange for the pair being sold on eBay. Links for other April tickets to be sold will be posted on Picard’s Web site, www.madofftrustee.com.

Want to see the Mets play the Padres or Milwaukee?

Two tickets for each of the remaining games against the Padres, on April 15-16, and for the three-game series against Milwaukee from April 17-19 were put on sale on StubHub.com. Those tickets are selling for $450 each.

Where’s Madoff?

The Mets are due to play their first home game at Citi Field on April 13. Madoff is in custody in Manhattan awaiting sentencing in June on 11 criminal counts to which he plead guilty last month. He’s gonna miss this game and he was known to be a keen New York Mets fan.

I lost out too

This announcement is a great pity for me personally. I was planning on taking some Payday Cash Advance Loans and contacting Bernie directly and offering to take over his tickets.

It gets worse

On the other side of the Atlantic, namely the Côte d’Azur, French authorities have seized Madoff’s yacht following legal action by a Paris-based investment group seeking to reimburse customers who lost out in the $50 billion fraud. A bailiff chained the propellers on the “Bull”, Madoff’s 88 foot long cruiser in the harbor in Cap d’Antibes near Nice on the Mediterranean coast.

Major judicial problems is right!

A notice attached to the yacht, which is estimated to be worth $7 million, reads: “Important: Do not turn on the motors. Major judicial problems will result if anyone attempts to remove this boat.”

The move comes after the Bull’s sister yacht was seized in the U.S. last week, along with another boat and Madoff’s mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, amid a worldwide scramble by investors to lay claim to his $820 million fortune.

And even worse…

There is a list of Madoff’s victims on the internet in a Wall Street Journal Site. I scanned through it and I am stunned. There are many, many genuine charities in there, some of them with Gi-normous losses. I understand that the banks lost large amounts – but that means that no one at the bank was ‘bankish’ enough to wonder what was going on and put a limit on the bank’s investments. The charities are somewhat different; they were trying to help their fundraising activities as much as they could.

These are the cases that will haunt Madoff for the rest of his days.

We steal

When tough financial times make day-to-day living difficult, most people look to things like personal loans as a temporary bridge. However, as we’ve seen recently in the case of Matthew and Laura Eaton, shoplifting is an unfortunate choice some make. Yet unlike most shoplifters, the Eatons went on television to crow about how they made $100,000 by shoplifting and selling their loot on eBay. Needless to say, federal agents are very interested.

The Associated Press reports that Matthew and Laura Eaton appeared on the “Dr. Phil” show in the fall of 2008 to share their story. Now, “Secret Service and members of the multi-agency San Diego Regional Fraud Task Force” commenced with search and seizure at their home. The Eatons have not currently been arrested or charged.

$100,000 per year

Dave Hillen, a San Diego County sheriff’s office detective, investigated the Eatons even before they appeared on television. The Eatons told Dr. Phil they made as much as $3,500 in one week from selling stolen toys. Matthew Eaton called the thefts “easy money” and classified himself and his wife as “professional shoplifters.”

“Every month, we make about $10,000, about $100,000 a year,” added Laura. She says they’ve amassed nearly $1 million in stolen goods over the past seven years.

“To catch up on bills”

“Why do you do this?” Dr. Phil asked the couple. “Why this instead of getting a job like the rest of us?” Matthew responded by saying

I think when I first started out, it was just something that was little. I had a job. I needed a little extra money, so I would do a job or something that was on a very, very small scale. As times got a little tougher and business was starting to go down, I began doing a little bit more to catch up on bills, car payments.

What about their children?

Of course, if Matthew and Laura are sent to prison, they will lose their children. Kleptomania won’t be an appropriate defense in Dr. Phil’s estimation:

If you think you have a defense for kleptomania, you don’t. Kleptomania is a rare condition that appears in less than five percent of identified shoplifters. A professional shoplifter often steals for profit for an illegitimate business. A kleptomaniac can’t resist the urge to steal, regardless of the monetary value, and he or she steals for a feeling of gratification and relief. A professional shoplifter steals valuable items in great quantities, whereas a kleptomaniac steals objects of little value. A professional shoplifter has plans to get away with stealing, whereas kleptomaniacs usually don’t plan their theft. A professional shoplifter often steals with others, but a kleptomaniac steals on his or her own without assistance from others.

The truth

“Are you just lazy?” Dr. Phil asked.

“Probably,” replied Matthew Eaton.

Doesn’t that say it all? Clearly times are tough, but it is the lazy who look to take advantage of others, rather than working to support themselves. Matthew and Laura Eaton are a perfect example of the kind of people America doesn’t need during the economic crisis.

It looks as though the world is going cashless

We have all heard the expression “the cashless society” and by now we all know that where there’s smoke, there’s a fire somewhere. We are also all finding out exactly how powerful the influence of the internet is and at last we are learning that every household must have a computer, no matter how much the residents resist it.

Progress

But this is progress. This is how we humans adapt ourselves and move along with the times. Here’s a quick example. Remember Amazon.com, the online bookstore that we older folks pooh-poohed and sneered at as we said, “It’ll never work. People like to browse and touch and feel the book they are going to buy”? Well, Amazon reported recently that it sold 73 items a second. No touching and feeling in there, right? Not even time for a quick sniff! Want more proof of the way things are going? EBay, the online auction site, is stated to have the 26th-largest economy in the world.

Staggering numbers, huh? Well, here’s another one. The incidence of online fraud is going into orbit.

Credit card fraud

All these examples I am firing at you are internet generated. And when it comes to internet transactions, credit card fraud is a major concern. This is what is leading the rush to a cashless society and the introduction of virtual currencies.

Paypal is an internet money transfer system which sends funds up and down using a combination of a credit card or checking account number and an email address. Anyone who uses PayPal will tell you that the system is smooth and efficient. They will also tell you that PayPal loves it because they basically watch what is happening and get a commission on every payment.

Here’s another one

Ukash is a newer entrant to the world of online commerce and it works differently. The website explains: “Ukash is delivered as a ready-to-spend PIN code, which can be used to pay directly at one of the thousands of Ukash friendly websites. You get it by converting your cash at any one of the 275,000 global locations and, soon, via online bank transfer.”

Basically if you want to spend money or transfer money or send your nephew a gift, you simply go into a store that sells Ukash vouchers, and buy “virtual currency”, then you go to your computer and send that virtual currency to where you want it to go. You can do it through your cell phone. No names, no addresses and best of all, no income tax reference numbers!

There’s no cost to purchasing Ukash vouchers. And because you don’t use a credit card, there’s no risk of imaginative hackers stealing from you. It also means that people without credit cards can shop online – good news for people in developing countries that don’t have high credit card penetration.

And many others

There are dozens of money transfer systems operating on the internet, some restricted to certain countries or continents and some universal. Most of them were developed in defense of fraud.

What’s next?

Most companies will have to upgrade its money transfer systems in the ongoing fight against fraudulent operators, those vultures circling overhead and waiting for some innocent to walk out into the street clutching money in his hands. It looks like we’re heading to that cashless society.

A few years ago, it might not have been surprising to find out that a friend took out payday loans to pay for some must-have item from eBay.

Yes, a few years ago, “Antiques Road Show” and the novelty of the newly discovered online auction were all the rage. Things are different now.

eBay and the economy

A few years ago, the economy was in great shape. People didn’t think twice about using credit to buy whatever they wanted. Thus, it was common for people to use payday loans and other types of credit to pay for items they “won” in online auctions.

Now, people aren’t even spending money they do have, let alone money they don’t have, on discretionary items.

Novelty wears off

For one thing, eBay isn’t so “trendy” anymore. As Fortune Magazine points out:

When is the last time you heard someone all breathless about bidding on some tatty piece of furniture?

The article goes on to point out that people have a lot more options for finding what they want at reasonable prices. Many people just aren’t willing to deal with the hassle of online auctions anymore.

eBay’s money troubles

eBay’s stock prices have fallen 56 percent in the last year. I found that a bit surprising because I have read so many articles about how to make money on eBay lately. There are tons of tips and publications out there with instructions on how you can use eBay to run your own business. Problem is, everyone is looking to make money. Not many are looking to spend it.

Still a chance for cash

If you are one of those people planning to try to make an extra buck on eBay, don’t scrap your plans just yet. Amazon.com and other online retailers that sell items in a more traditional way are doing very well. For things that they do need, people are turning to Internet more and more.

The real trouble for eBay is the declining popularity of the online auction. So before you spend your payday loans on some rare piece of Star Trek memorabilia, remember that you probably can’t bank on reselling it.

Mix pleasure and business by selling your art on eBay.

If you are reading this, you already know from Part I that online payday loans can help you with your business selling your niche product on eBay if you don’t have enough product to fill your order. You also read up on tips for how to pick your niche product and any auxiliary items you can upsell with it.

Spacing out

So, if you have started making sales and plan to continue with your business, it’s time to start thinking technically. Maybe you can sell 100 sculptures or cuckoo clocks, or whatever it is you’re selling, but do you have space to store them all?

Make sure you consider all of the spaces you already have at your disposal before you rent a storage room. If you don’t have a basement, extra bedroom or garage to store your product in, make sure you will make money — not lose money — if you rent a storage unit. If you have to take out online payday loans in order to pay your rent on your storage unit, that means you can’t afford one yet.

Brand and name recognition

Everyone knows that brand loyalty generates tons of revenue. You can develop your own brand name and then get that name out there and start developing a following. A good way to generate exxtra traffic and return customers is to create an “About Me” page.

You don’t need to know HTML to create and “About Me” page on eBay, and you can use your page to market your brand and your products. Create links to your page on message boards and on social networking sites. If you use facebook, MySpace or Twitter you can get lots of recognition by posting a link to your business on your profiles.

Sell what you love

Just like any other job or money-making enterprise, you will enjoy it more if you sell what you love. If you love to make crafts or knit, make that your business. If you choose to sell something you love it won’t feel like work. This will help alleviate the stress that comes with running your own business.

If there is a particular market or trend that you already keep up on just out of interest, consider finding a way to capitalize on that. Look around you at your friends and family. Pay attention to what other people’s hobbies are, too, to see if there is a good money making market right under your nose. Also this could end up giving you and a friend or family member an excuse to spend time together. It’s always nice to have help and company.

More tools

There are plenty more tips and details at MyMommyBiz.com. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a mommy to benefit from their advice. ARAlifestyle recommends purchasing an “Auction Success Kit.” It also provides a link to site that sells products specifically for the purpose of resale on eBay.

These sites have great additional tips that will help you with your sales business. However, if you need online payday loans, look no further; you’ve come to the right place.

If you’re looking for a long-term way to make money, find a product that will sell like hotcakes on eBay.

There are lots of tutorials and tips out there for how you can make good money selling products on eBay. I found a couple of good ones on MyMommyBiz and ARAlifestyle. Here is a summary of some tips.

Many facets of eBay

You may think that eBay is just a place to buy and sell used items. However, any seasoned eBay user can tell you that you can buy new items on eBay, too. You could potentially build a successful online business doing either of these things. People are shopping online more and more nowadays. In fact, last year online retailers were more successful than traditional retailers.

Figuring out what your product line will be is tough, and you might need online payday loans or other financial assistance to get going. However, if you come up with a good plan, you can work from home and potentially make good money.

Find your niche

If you are going to start a new product line, you must first find your niche. Start by making a list of any niche markets you can think of that you might be interested in. Choose a few that particularly interest you or that you are extremely familiar with. Then make a list of five or 10 products in each niche.

Figure out your price. Make sure you factor in shipping costs. Check out other completed auctions on eBay so you can get a realistic idea of how much you will be able to charge. Choose a product that is both hard to find and a best-seller. This will help you be more successful.

Testing, one, two, three

After you make your lists and do your research, something is bound to jump out at you. After you’ve chosen your product, it is time to start test selling. That means don’t buy or produce 100 items to sell all at once. Try selling a small batch of just a few items and see how it goes.

If your products fly out of cyberspace quickly, you’ve got your niche. If not, go back to your lists and try again.

Expansion

If your product line is selling well and you are making a profit, it makes sense to start selling related items. Figure out auxiliary products that compliment what you are already selling. For instance, thanks to the initial success of the iPod, Apple has made a killing on iPod accessories.

Offer your auxiliary items as part of a package deal to upsell your items and capitalize on your sales by expanding them. Checking out your product on Amazon.com is a good way to find related items, as Amazon generally recommends related products whenever you do a search for a specific items. Or check with other online stores to see what they are selling as product pairings.

Stay tuned for Part II

If you find that you have a product that is selling very well, you can make a killing by purchasing products in bulk and reselling them. If your orders get backed up and you need some extra money to buy more product, it may be wise to take out online payday loans rather than making your customers wait. That way you will get better customer reviews on eBay.

For more tips on making a killing on eBay, see Part II of this article here at your online payday loans source.

Too bad a payday loan can’t help GM, who was the world’s highest-selling automaker for 80 years. Yes, I said was. GM’s sales dropped nearly 11 percent in 2008, and it sold 610,00 fewer automobiles than the new King of Cars: Toyota.

While the headlines are making a big deal about the shift in “title,” the auto makers themselves appear pretty nonchalant about it. In this article from CNNMoney the heads of both companies say that being the top auto seller in the world is not a priority.

A floundering industry

This shift in the industry comes at the same time American automakers GM and Chrysler are haggling with the government over the $17.4 billion bailout loan they received. The loan was made on the condition that the automakers would make strategic plans to cut costs and remain viable companies.

The automakers have four weeks to present their plans. The plans are due Feb. 17 and must include strategies for debt reduction and saving on labor costs. Sounds to me like more layoffs in the future. Auto workers might want to take out a payday loan and start looking for a new job.

Wage wars

The United Auto Workers union doesn’t think the Feb. 17 deadline is realistic. The union has not agreed to any wage cuts and says if any adjustments are to be made it will take lengthy negotiations.

Some representatives from the companies say that they don’t need the UAW to agree to wage cuts in order to meet the government’s requests. Some say they have already done enough to save on labor.

eBay runs into trouble

GM isn’t the only big-name company that suffered big sales losses last year. In the fourth quarter of 2008, online auctioneer eBay posted a whopping 31 percent drop in income. This has caused the company’s shares to plummet as well.

The story of eBay matches that of many other American companies. People are spending less and buying less, so in the case of eBay, not only are people making fewer purchases, they are spending less per purchase.

More bad news

Intel is also facing big problems. The company is shutting down three facilities in Asia and slowing down production at two facilities in the U.S. The cuts will affect 5,000 to 6,000 workers.

Intel is a computer chip manufacturing company, and they say the production cuts are due to decreased demand.

Playing chicken

One industry that is seeing a demand that actually exceeds its supply is the poultry industry. Since a large Texas poultry ranch went bankrupt, the supply of chicken wings has decreased. Meanwhile, the demand for chicken wings, commonly used as buffalo wings or hot wings in casual dining establishments, has gone up.

Much of this increase in demand can actually be tied to the pizza industry. As pizza places across the country have started to offer more dishes to attract more customers, many have started offering chicken wings as a side dish. The spicy wings have commonly been an inexpensive dish, drawing many customers. However, as poultry farmers raise prices for their product, restaurants are faced with the decision to raise prices, which will cause fewer sales.

Your payday loan source keeps you updated on the economy.

Animal Piercings? There are easier ways to get extra cash today. Should have thought about payday loans.

“Get A Genuine Bonafide Gothic Kitten While Supplies Last.”

That’s correct,. Animal piercings! Someone hatched what they had thought or hoped would be a brilliant plan to make some money over the internet by way of piercing cats and selling them online via eBay as “Gothic Kittens.”

Not the Sharpest Tool In The Shed Was Used To Hatch This Plan!

I have to give this individual credit for creativity but surely she was a fry short of a happy meal because somewhere along the line she failed to learn that there are animal lovers everywhere that think of cats as more then pin cushions. Publicly advertising this to pet lovers, not a good idea.

The Plight of the Kittens

For those of you wondering about the kittens, they are now fine and the piercings have been removed.

In total three kittens were removed from the owners home with ear, neck and tail piercings. Submission rings were also put on the tails to reduce circulation and eventually amputate them.

Research Prevents Poor Planning

The perpetrator failed to read eBay’s terms of use, let alone animal cruelty laws. An add was placed on eBay, a popular internet auction site with a picture of the pierced kittens and a listed phone number for all interested parties (ok, maybe two fries short of a happy meal).

An Undercover Animal Lover

A man who saw the auction called the number, expressed interest, and paid a visit to the home to see the kittens himself. He took note of the situation before reporting it to local animal authorities.

After obtaining a warrant for the home, authorities searched the residence finding three kittens that had been physically abused.

Some People Will Never Learn

The homeowner responsible for the violation maintained her innocence saying she thought is was a good idea to pierce the kittens. Turns out she had a little business on the side called “Pawside Parlor”. Guess she was hoping to break into another line of work. Cutting hair got old so she thought she would start cutting cats. Getting payday loans to help with finding another profession that didn’t involve torture perhaps would have been a better move.

The things we do when we get bored with our occupation. As they say, the grass is always greener on the other side, or so she thought anyway. Earning extra cash isn’t always as easy as it seems.

How This Story Ends

The kittens will be placed up for adoption and charges are likely to be filed against the home owner.

Please, if you need cash now, try online payday loans before you try to get too savvy yourself. They’re fast, they’re what you need if you need quick cash fast, and best of all they’re legal!

Tired of your current job, living payday loan to payday loan, or maybe you have even been laid off due to the recession. Looking for an exciting and challenging career where you call the shots? Do you thrive on a good adrenaline rush? Then making shady secret deals, while always staying just one step ahead of the FBI, might be for you. You can finally achieve your dreams with a job in politics. Thanks to Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, a seat in the Senate can be achievable for any average American citizen; the only catch being that all bidders need to first come up with some bidding cash.

I’ll start the bidding . . .

All interested bidders should have at least a few hundred thousand dollars to start the bid (admittedly more than your average payday loan), since Mr. Blagojevich indicates that he “can drive a hard bargain,” and that if he does not get what he wants for the seat, then he will simply “take the Senate seat” for himself. He states that a Senate seat, “Is a valuable thing, you just don’t give it away for nothing.”

Call her Senator Patti Blagojevich

A little short on cash, even after getting that payday loan? Don’t shy away just yet, because Governor Blagojevich just might be interested in alternative benefits for himself and his wife Patti. Since he has been rather vague as to what his other interests might be, you could just throw in some broad negotiation terms such as, “Mr. Blagojevich, should you offer me this Senate seat I vow to always keep your best interests in mind.” A little cash from www.personalmoneystore.com, coupled with this broad language, just might have your friends and neighbors calling you “Senator.”

Going . . . going . . . gone!

Don’t wait. Grab that payday loan and start bidding now as this Senate seat will not be available for very long. U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald was just quoted as saying, “The Senate seat, as recently as days ago, seemed to be on the verge of being auctioned off.”

If anything bad should ever come your way, don’t even sweat it as I hear the latest courtroom apparel is a light blue jogging suit!
