Not every unexpected event is as bizarre as running into a whale tail, but there are still incidents that can cause a lot of hassle. For example, yesterday wasn’t the best day for me. I worked at my day job for eight hours, and as soon as I clocked out, I left for my second job at a restaurant. I don’t mind the work so much, but any thirteen hour work day is guaranteed to leave a person exhausted. I was looking forward to heading home and relaxing. Instead, when I got home I noticed that my car had a flat tire. I was up until nearly midnight changing my tire. Luckily, the spare tire will get me to and from my day job for a couple of days until I can get it repaired.

Unexpected Costs

More often than not, unexpected events are partnered with unexpected costs. The kiteboarder probably needed a doctor’s appointment to make sure he had no serious injuries. The Macaroni Woman would need a restraining order and medical attention for her face. Glass City Boxing will have to recoup the costs of the boxing ring and the canceled shows. And I am going to have to fix my flat tire at some point.
