March 23, 2010, will be a great day for just about anybody who has a sweet tooth – Ben and Jerry’s will be holding its annual Free Cone Day, and Starbucks Coffee will be holding its Free Pastry Day at the same time. Free Pastry Day has a few strings, and it runs only until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Free Cone Day will run from noon to 8 p.m. Choose to use Free Pastry Day and Free Cone Day, or just one of the two — no matter what you choose, Free Treats Tuesday gives a little shot of sweet debt relief to just about anybody.

Free Pastry Day – Early morning to 10:30 am

If you’re the early-riser type, Tuesday will be a good morning to visit Starbucks. From opening (midnight at some 24-hour locations) until 10:30am, Starbucks across the nation will be participating in Free Pastry Day. You can get a free pasty at Starbucks if you purchase any drink – so you probably won’t need a loan, but you will have to spend money to get your Free Pastry Day pastry. You will have to show your baristas this coupon – either print it out or show it to them on the screen of any mobile device.

Free Cone Day – Noon to 8 pm

No matter if you get your Free Pastry Day pastry or not, you can go to Ben and Jerry’s to get your Free Cone Day ice cream treat. Free Cone Day started in 1979 as a way for Ben and Jerry’s to thank customers for their support, and it continues to this day. To get your Free Cone Day ice cream, you don’t have to buy anything, don’t have to show any coupons – you just show up and ask for your Free Cone Day cone. To find a participating Ben and Jerry’s, use the scoop shop locating tool here. The best part is, there is no limit at Free Cone Day – so if you want to try all three of their new flavors, you can!
