What stack overflow at line 0 error means

Understanding the language of error messages usually means breaking it down into parts. The “stack overflow at line 0″ message means two distinct things. Stack overflow is an error, very basically, where a program requests more memory than is allocated to it by its programming. The phrase “at line 0″ indicates where the error “lives” in the code. There is not, however, any “line 0″ in most code — meaning that the “stack overflow at line 0″ just indicates there is a stack overflow error somewhere in the code for a program.

Most common stack overflow at line 0 error

Most commonly, the stack overflow at line 0 error is appearing in Internet Explorer. Unless you are doing your own coding, the stack overflow at line 0 error means that Internet Explorer is requesting more memory than it should. This could be the result of an update in Javascript, an add-in of some kind that has malfunctioned or too many plugins.

Fixing the stack overflow at line 0 error

There are many ways to go about fixing the stack overflow at line 0 error. If you are experienced in code, you can try reducing the amount of memory requested by your call stack.
