Breast cancer awareness is very important, but that doesn’t mean just anyone should be administering breast exams, particularly after downing Jäger bombs. According to the Idaho Statesman, a Boise woman named Kristina Ross, 37, has been arrested for fooling other women into bar-room breast exams. Ross – who posed as a plastic surgeon named Dr. Berlyn Aussieahshowna – is currently being held in Ada County Jail on $100,000 bond for two felony charges of practicing medicine without a license.
Kristina Ross frequented nightclubs looking for ‘patients’
Kristina Ross reportedly had interactions with numerous women. According to the prosecution, one woman disrobed for Ross and another was fondled above her clothes. Both of those incidents happened in Boise bars. A local licensed plastic surgeon’s office told the Statesman that it had been receiving appointment calls from women asking for Dr. Berlyn Aussieahshowna. The women claimed they’d scheduled both appointments and surgeries with Dr. Aussieahshowna, but of course no doctor by that name worked there.
Upon being questioned by police, Kristina Ross’ victims said that Ross appeared to have “significant” medical knowledge regarding breast inspection and breast cancer. Police are currently searching for other potential victims who may have come into contact with Ross in one of the nightclubs she was known to frequent.
Ross had a previous criminal history – as a man
While Kristina Ross currently identifies herself as a woman, she reportedly is transgender. In her previous life as a man, Ross had a criminal history in Idaho. Under the same name of Kristina Ross, he was convicted of aggravated battery in 2003. The Idaho Department of Corrections initially classified Ross as a man, but eventually the classification was changed to “MTF” (male to female) once Ross entered into custody in a male prison. Kristina Ross was not kept with the general population, according to Idaho authorities.
Punishment for Ross’ most recent crime
Kristina Ross is currently being held on $100,000 bond, although her court-appointed attorney had requested $5,000 bond. Each of the two charges Ross faces for practicing medicine without a license is punishable by as much as five years in prison.
