King of Pop Michael Jackson Dies of Heart Attack in Hospital

Michael Jackson had a heart attack today. Someone from his Los Angeles home called the police about 12:20 p.m. California time today. TMZ reported that a family member said Michael Jackson is “in really bad shape.” TMZ also said a reporter spoke to Michael’s dad, Joe Jackson, shortly after he was placed in the hospital. Joe Jackson reported said  Michael is “not doing well.” Now, various news organizations have reported that Michael Jackson, 50, is dead.

Reports say paramedics had to administer CPR after Michael Jackson because he wasn’t breathing when they arrived at his home, and Fox News said he was not breathing when he reached the hospital. His family was with him at UCLA Medical Center when coroners pronounced him dead. The Los Angeles Times reported that he was in a coma for a period of time before his death. Fox News reports that there have been allegations that some sort of pills were somehow linked to Michael Jackson’s heart attack.

Financial security

Michael Jackson’s huge fortune will no doubt be passed on to his family. Michael Jackson has been making money since long before payday loan stores were around. In fact, he’s been pulling in the big bucks since he was just 7 years old as a member of the Jackson 5.

Now, Michael Jackson is a young heart attack victim at only 50 years old. But in his 50 years he managed to earn himself the title King of Pop.

Multiple people involved in the production of “Thriller” have said that Michael Jackson didn’t pay the proper amount of royalties. One of those people was Ola Ray, who played his date on the video.

Michael Jackson hasn’t released an album since 2001. He has been involved in a lengthy lawsuit in which he was accused of child molestation. Jackson settled the lawsuit out of court by giving the family $22 million. That means he was never found guilty of the charges.

After Michael Jackson’s lengthy career and superstardom, $22 million probably didn’t hurt him too badly financially. However, the damage to his reputation had been done.
