My Touch 3G deals for T-Mobile customers
Among an ever-growing collection of available smartphones, T-Mobile is releasing its latest offering, the T-Mobile My Touch 3G. The announcement falls just on the heels of Apple releasing the iPhone 3G S. Coming out after the new iPhone definitely isn’t going to help T-Mobile.
T-Mobile says the My Touch 3G costs $199 with a two-year contract. I assume the My Touch 3G is only available to T-Mobile customers.
My Touch 3G details
The T-Mobile My Touch 3G operates on the Google Android system. The only advantage it seems to over its competitors is its size, as it’s a bit smaller than the iPhone. Tech Fragments says:
The My Touch 3G phone offers a 3.2-inch touch screen display, 320×480 resolution, and has no hardware keyboard.
Major competitors

Will My Touch 3G stay afloat in a sea of smartphones?
Both the iPhone 3G S and the recently released Palm Pre have more memory than the My Touch 3G. The My Touch 3G will likely be most attractive to existing T-Mobile customers who want to upgrade to a smartphone. I don’t think the My Touch 3G will attract new customers to T-Mobile, however. People won’t get money loans to switch wireless carriers.
You can order the My Touch 3G on or after July 8. It comes in three colors: black, white and merlot. The phone comes out in August, when it will be available in retail stores.

i want this phone
I just got my my touch 3g and it is awesome. I was an i phoner for two years and yes it was cool but everyone had one. And the my touch is very personnel so I love it twice as much as the i phone
I think this phone would be an excellent collection to my smartphones. I collect and compare them. I think a good match will bet iPhone 3G S and myTouch 3G ill stop in next time to tell you guys what i choose but ic ant wait to get my hands on one of these
T-mobile’s My Touch 3G is definitely up against a few major competitors. For instance, the recently released iPhone 3G S offers more battery life, doubled speed and more features available than the previous iPhone 3G. The recently released Palm Pre has also reaped success since its launch in the market place. Of course, I’m sure many existing T-mobile customers will find this to their liking.
I for one am very excited to get myTouch3G. I’ve been using an unlocked iPhone on T-Mobile for a while now.
I like T-Mobile’s network where I live and the call quality is excellent. I’ve been testing their 3G network out here in LA and I like what I see. They don’t have 80 million users clogging up the network so at least in my area it’s all mine for the taking.
No complaints here!
I text and email a lot for my business. Using a virtual keyboard is good for quick stuff, like searches. An actual keyboard is a must. If only the MyTouch had a slide out keyboard. It would be awesome.
I would have preferred a 3.5 mm jack, but when I stop and think about how many times I’d need it it’s really a moot point. I use my Nano for music and a BT headset for calls while driving.
