Affairs hurt
There are few things more damaging to a committed marriage than an affair. And there are some people who would argue that it was entirely appropriate that the words “marriage” and “committed” are next to each other in the previous sentence. Those who aren’t certifiably married can understand that. Debt consolidation or mortgage loan modification may not save you in the event of a divorce, but they can help knock off a stray bill or two when things are tough.
How tough are things for Eddie Cibrian these days? Here you have a man-candy “actor” bouncing between an angry wife (Brandi Glanville) and an (alleged) stalking girlfriend (LeAnn Rimes, the affair focus). I’m sure he’s doing OK financially, but perhaps not for long. He’ll have to star in at least a dozen more Nora Roberts Lifetime movies like “Northern Lights” to pay his legal bills. But what I want to know is how far LeAnn Rimes will go to be Cibrian’s love interest in each special Lifetime atrocity.
“LeAnn Rimes Is Stalking My Husband!”
Brandi Glanville, model wife of former “Third Watch” and “Baywatch Nights” star Eddie Cibrian, has two children with the actor. Now the mother is on the warpath, accusing the singer LeAnn Rimes of stalking her husband. In an interview with Us magazine, Glanville exclaimed that Rimes “refuses to let go of an unhealthy obsession” with her husband.
“LeAnn is a stalker,” she said. “She refuses to leave us alone – it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance.”
This is not what really happened
It is believed that Us first broke news of the alleged “steamy affair.” The evidence included a surveillance video of the singer “sucking” on Cibrian’s finger. Perhaps the poor man had been bitten by a Gabon pit viper? What then would Us think of LeAnn trying to save her co-star’s life at the possible sacrifice of her own? Still woozy from the poison, Eddie Cibrian has denied the LeAnn Rimes affair. He’s merely changed his cell phone number so that bizarre snake-handling cults will no longer be able to send him threatening texts about when they’ll strike next.
Glanville, who may be a member of one of said snake-handling cults, has called Rimes life-saving behavior “disgusting.” Furthermore, she charges that Rimes roped Cibrian into meeting her at a Lakers game. Former NBA forward Ken “Snake” Norman could not be reached for comment on the matter, as he was gearing up for the upcoming film “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.”
“LeAnn is so desperate for fame she has left her self-respect in the gutter and doesn’t care who she hurts to get what she wants,” Glanville added. “She’s hurting my family and messing with the wrong mom.”
In reality, a family is hurting
LeAnn Rimes has neither confirmed nor denied an affair. However, she has spoken out about Brandi Glanville’s comments. Through her personal representative, Rimes has said that Glanville’s stalker comment is “incredibly defamatory.” The representative went on to say that “while there are always two sides to every story, LeAnn continues to remain above the fray and chooses not to play this out in the press.”
How did this all get started? US Weekly had this to say:
Rimes, 26, who is married to former backup dancer Dean Sheremet, is getting hot and steamy with her TV movie costar, Eddie Cibrian.
Cibrian is also married, and has two children.
Sources tell the magazine that Rimes and Cibrian, 35, started their affair on the set of their upcoming Lifetime flick, “Northern Lights.”
Two couples on the edge
Wait, there’s more evidence? A security camera spotted LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian holding hands and kissing? How does the water feel on boil, Eddie?
Under the influence of no poison but perhaps his own sense of celebrity, Cibrian flatly denied a LeAnn Rimes affair. “It is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship,” he said while waxing himself.
What KIND of wax? He wouldn’t tell me, but then again he’s changed his number, so I can’t text him.
Where does Dean Sherement stand in this?
The backup dancer is backing up his lady love. USWeekly.com reported that Sheremet Twittered “I Love My Wife!!!” recently. Rimes and Sheremet married seven years ago, when she was 19 and he was 21. Either Sheremet is being cuckolded or Rimes is innocent. Perhaps it’s all an elaborate ruse created by Eddie Cibrian, who has been mostly silent on the matter. Perhaps he’s looking to get into the debt consolidation and mortgage loan modification business at Brandi Glanville’s urging. Maybe everyone’s a winner. I’ll leave you to figure that one out.
Cobraaaaaa!

I’ve been reading a bit about this lately, and what I’ve always thought about it was that NOBODY CARES. Not only is it none of our business, let’s look at the merits of said celebrities. LeeAnn Rimes hasn’t had a hit for several years, and this guy acts in Lifetime movies. Also, she’s not exactly Tool – it’s not like she takes a few years between albums so that the only output is of great quality and artistic value. (Not to disparage her – she has an amazing voice.) This so called actor, once again Lifetime movies – that’s where actors go to die, so to speak. It’s like soap operas – this guy can’t hack it on Broadway, or anywhere else, but he’s got a face that will get him on TV. Once again, a hack – we should pay him no mind! Unless this guy is only filming made for TV movies in between productions of Shakespeare and Arthur Miller – which if he had the talent to be in, he wouldn’t be on Lifetime – so, on those merits, do we want to be giving them any coverage? No, and to prove my point I’m going to stop talking about it right in the middle of
Seriously … there are more important matters to discuss than this. If I want celebrity gossip, there’s always Perez Hilton.
