Jake DeSantis “Let Down” By AIG | Amazing! (Pt. 2)

By Steven Tarlow, your Jake DeSantis, Professional Delusional news source

I have a family; no time to defraud you anymore

Jake DeSantis thinks he’s headed for calm waters after jumping the AIG ship, eh? CLICK HERE if you missed the beginning of this teeth-grinding, blood-curdling story.

Credit default swaps are the root of AIG’s problems. DeSantis claims he had nothing to do with them, and that he feels “let down” that he is under scrutiny. Incidentally, your privacy would be respected if you were applying for a payday loan

I take this action after 11 years of dedicated, honorable service to A.I.G. I can no longer effectively perform my duties in this dysfunctional environment, nor am I being paid to do so. Like you, I was asked to work for an annual salary of $1, and I agreed out of a sense of duty to the company and to the public officials who have come to its aid. Having now been let down by both, I can no longer justify spending 10, 12, 14 hours a day away from my family for the benefit of those who have let me down.

An annual salary of $1, hmmm? Fine. It’s the right thing to do. Anyone can see that; you don’t deserve praise for doing what is basic. You aren’t two years old. But how much money had you been earning up to the point public officials stepped in, Mr. DeSantis? How much money do you have put away? More than most people will earn in their lifetime? And at what point would your regular salary kick in again? Would you be under the “yoke” of a $1 salary for… one year? Two? I bleed for you and your $742,006.40 bonus.

Breaching the trust of millions of taxpayers

DeSantis said the decision to ask for the bonuses back was “a breach of trust” and only came because Edward Liddy was being poked and prodded at a Congress pig party. For his part, Jake DeSantis plans to donate the after-tax bonus to charity. Would he have done that if he weren’t under pressure himself?
