Quick payday loans vs. slow decisions
If the payday loan industry operated like the political nomination process, lenders and borrowers would both be in trouble.
Payday loans can be approved in two hours and are usually paid back in two weeks. However, more than three weeks into his presidency, Barack Obama still doesn’t have a Secretary of Commerce.
Senator Gregg steps down
Obama’s nominee for the position, Senator Judd Gregg, withdrew his name from consideration today. Gregg cited “irresolvable conflicts” with Obama’s handling of the stimulus package.
If Obama had applied for a payday loan his first day in office, he likely would have had to pay it back 10 days ago. However, picking the right cabinet members is a much more complicated process than getting a payday loan.
Conflict of interest
The Secretary of Commerce heads a department in charge of overseeing business and industry in the United States as well as abroad. So it makes sense — if Obama and Gregg couldn’t agree on how to handle money, they’d be looking at a very tumultuous professional relationship.
Rough road
Before Gregg was considered for the position, Obama nominated New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. At the time, a grand jury was investigating how state contracts were issued to political donors. Though Richardson wasn’t personally implicated in the case, he thought his appointment would complicate matters.
Seems it’s tough to find someone willing to manage business and industry right now on a national and global scale. Odd.
Quick payday loans
Well, if you like lengthy decision-making processes, maybe you should throw your name into the ring for the Secretary of Commerce job. If you like things to go a little quicker and you need extra cash, you can apply for an instant payday loan right here.

This is too bad. If he can’t reconcile his involvement, that’s understandable – if you can’t feel right about the work you’re going to do or are doing, then that is certainly a good enough reason not to do it. Cabinet picks and other posts are proving to be quite the problem for our President.
