What’s happened to all the free energy ideas we keep reading about?
Oil drilling rig in the North Sea
We took Payday Loans back in the 70’s and 80’s when the price of energy went through the roof. It was the only way we could finance the feasibility studies and design reports we were doing. We got down and designed free-energy and low energy generating schemes, determined to cut ourselves loose from the oil prices that kept rising.
Oil companies lowered their prices
Whole new companies and businesses were founded, springing up like mushrooms and the inventiveness of man was a continual surprise. The oil companies looked at us askance and lowered their prices and most of the new ventures simply folded and walked away, unable to compete.
How the oil price game works
We love cars. We all want a car and some of us want more than one car, one for business and one for fun. We cannot manage without our cars. The car is an integral part of our life and a huge percentage of all industry focuses around the car. The countries that produce oil love our cars too. The bigger and more powerful our cars are, the more they love them. They are clever people, our oil makers; they know how to play the game. Last year between April and August, they simply doubled the prices bringing many countries of the world to their knees. I remember very well how I took a Payday Loan to fill the tank of my car after I asked that gorgeous girl, Diane, out for a date and I needed to use the car.
The game goes on

CULVER CITY, CA - APRIL 25
Now the price of oil is back down and scooting up and down every day and making the financial forecasters scratch their heads as they try and get things into order. But something is missing. What’s happened to all the companies who set out to find alternative sources of energy?
The oil free companies
Many of these companies folded as soon as the oil price dropped, unable to manufacture energy that was cheap enough to compete with the price of oil based energy. Others are hanging in, determined to try and beat the price of oil and determined to re-green the earth. They need a lot of money to keep going and even more to continue the struggle to live without oil. It’s going to take a very determined company to invent economic alternative energy. Of course the moment someone sneezes in the oil producing Middle East, America will catch cold and the alternative energy companies will come mushrooming out of the ground again.
Where to now?
It’s a problem. Overriding all other problems is the question of population growth around the globe which in turn leads to shortages of water, then food, then natural resources and finally money. Imagine another 20 years, then 50 years and then 100 years. Everything will be in short supply.
I’m making sure about my Payday Loan
I’m not hanging around until the bitter end. I don’t want to be the one left holding the ball when the whistle blows. I’m applying for my Payday Loan today so I don’t get caught in the stampede.

Improved solar, wind and hydroelectric power are absolutely necessary. Same thing with hybrid vehicles. I would also like to see someone develop environmental outfits along the lines of the stilsuits from Frank Herbert’s “Dune”… powered by our movement and waste product, keeping people alive in harsh, water-scarce environments… it would save lives
The only problem with the “green energy” systems of generation is that they just do not have the capacity of output that non-renewables do – wind and solar are unreliable at best, as both rely on weather conditions. Hydro plants can only be installed in so many locations, and geothermal is still in it’s infancy. There is another power plant type that we could be using already, that has little or no CO2 emissions, and when properly managed is far more environmentally friendly than coal or gas plants. Unfortunately, it’s the one everyone loves to hate – Nuclear. Generation 3 and 3+ plants are already in operation, and when managed properly, function very well. Oh, and we could power guess what with it – Electric cars!
