Payday loans indicate economic distress
You can tell by the recent uptick in payday loans that individuals and families are finding it harder to afford things nowadays. One of the obvious answers for a person who isn’t making enough money is to get a higher-paying job. But what if you don’t have a college degree?
Making money without spending money
Don’t worry, I am not here to talk about going to night school or getting some kind of technical certificate. I am sure that if you could afford to do that you would have done it already. No, I am here to tell you about high-paying jobs that will help you avoid needing payday loans. And all you need for these jobs is a high school diploma.
Research these job titles
Here is a list from Careerbuilder.com of high-paying jobs that don’t require a college degree:
- Service station manager $72,246
- Web surfer $70,604
- Lead carpenter $63,345
- Chemical Supervisor $57,472
- Home-care aide supervisor $56,157
- Collection supervisor $50,330
- Flight service manager $54,350
Granted, for these positions, you’ll have to work your way up. Well, you will have to for anything that has “supervisor” or “manager” in the title. But can you really get paid that big salary for surfing the web?

I did a little research, and a $70,000 salary is definitely at the top end of the web surfer salary range. However, the low end is about $40,000, so for web-savvy people who have the time to devote to it and can tell the real companies from the scammers, it’s definitely a good option.
If you manage to put away some money for financial emergencies, you should be able to live without needing payday loans or having to go back to school

I’m baffled by the Web surfer salary… perhaps only magical cats like those in the photo are accepted for such employment. If a company needed someone to perform market research online, I would imagine that would be a marketing position. Or research and development. Whatever the case, it’s amazing that you can earn a $70,000 salary doing that. I’d take it

It is true – you can get good jobs that pay well without a college degree. Unfortunately, the pay ceiling is a bit lower, and you are virtually guaranteed to make far less over your lifetime if you don’t have a degree or technical or professional certificate of some sort.
