Perhaps if they opened fewer windows? Oh wait…
United States Postal Service Truck
Your payday loan source has spotted an ABC News story(See http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=6751504) that brings crocodile tears to his eyes. The current recession may just force the United States Postal Service to stop delivering mail on Saturdays! This comes straight from the Postmaster General John Potter. Then again, it might be Tuesday that goes. It hasn’t been determined yet, but it is known that Tuesdays are traditionally light days for mail.
$2.8 billion in the red in 2008
“If current trends continue, we could experience a net loss of $6 billion or more this fiscal year,” Potter said to a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs subcommittee. This comes in the wake of nine billion fewer items being mailed in 2008 than had been in 2007. That is officially the largest drop in Postal Service history. Your faxless payday loan source is happy that his industry doesn’t have to face such a 2.8 billion-pound gorilla…
“The ability to suspend delivery on the lightest delivery days, for example, could save dollars in both our delivery and our processing and distribution networks. I do not make this request lightly, but I am forced to consider every option given the severity of our challenge,” Potter concluded.
You can rest easy when it comes to obtaining a payday loan, however. Upon approval, your funds can be automatically deposited in your bank account in as little as two hours’ time. Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays your payday loan source from the swift completion of appointed rounds of financial education and short-term cash relief…

I could be slightly miffed about this, because I have an important package on its way – but I see the point. I hate to say it, but if they can save a few million every month or so by not delivering on Saturday, then perhaps that is best for the Postal Service to do so.
ONE DAY LESS TO RECEIVE BILLS.
Cuts, cuts, and more cuts… It seems like this episode will never end. When does the hero part happen? This is like a never ending story that continues to get worse by every second.
I recieve cratefuls of mail and have filled out mountians of paperwork to borrow money over the years. Payday loans provide a service and with out spending time, gas an money which more than compensates for the fee charged…because they do it and not me.
Thanks
