Racing is fast becoming one of America’s most popular sports, and many people have trouble coming up with entry fees, which you could use payday loans for, but that hasn’t deterred many people from participating. The video game era, coupled with the increase in coverage of NASCAR and Indy racing events, and also with motorcycle events such as regular motorcycle racing and extreme motorbike circuits, has been getting more and more people involved in, and fans of, motor sports. Movies like Biker Boyz, Torque, and the Fast and the Furious series have served as some amazing PR for motorsports. The Speed Channel, part of the News Corporation (FOX) is a TV channel that covers all things racing.
All you need is a car and a pink slip
One of the most controversial shows on the network is a drag racing series 
that premiered the parent program in 2005. The parent program was called Pinks, the spinoff that followed in 2006 was called Pinks: All Out! The newest season of Pinks: All Out is shortly to make its season debut at the Texas Motorplex on January 7th, where it will begin filming. The Ennis, Texas raceway is an explicitly drag racing venue, where numerous drag racing events occur including NHRA Funny Car drag races. Ordinarily, the entry fees for them are furnished by sponsors, as the money involved in a Funny Car event is far too much for payday loans to possibly cover.
What is a Pink Slip?
The premise of the show is what is called racing for pink slips. Pink Slips, ordinarily a term for a termination notice is a reference to the pink colored registration forms that the California DMV used to issue. Racing for pink slips involves two, or a series, of racers, who drag race (start from a stand still, then whoever crosses the finish line without breaking the pre-approved rules wins) agreeing that the winner of said race gets the title or pink slip to the loser’s vehicle. Street racing is illegal worldwide, and racing for pink slips is illegal in 40 out of the 50 United States. 
The original TV show had a format where those vehicles determined to be competitive enough faced off in individual best-of series, and the car with the most wins (2 of 3 in the first season, 3 of 5 in the later half of season one through four, and 4 of 7 in the fifth season) got the title of the loser’s car along with a prize package. Pinks: All Out! is more simplistic – of the cars that show up to the event, those deemed competitive enough face off in a single elimination tournament until the last competitor is eliminated, with the prize package being similar.
At least what they’re doing is legal
Street racing is illegal. If you engage in it, you likely will be caught, your car will be seized and auctioned off, and you will likely go to jail and lose your license. Amateur drag racing is far more ideal than prison. You won’t even be able get enough payday loans to cover fines and a lawyer.
This article takes me back. Back in the day, I drove a ’95 Mitsubishi Eclipse. “Sky” was a black beauty. I never was into racing, monitored my speed at all times and was a good driver (still am). But for some reason, my butt was always pulled over for the pettiest things.
I remembered this one time I was making a right turn at a red light. As I looked to my right, I noticed a cop car about three blocks down. As soon as I made that turn, the cop’s lights went off. His reason for pulling me over was because one of my tires was too bold!
Of course I didn’t attempt to argue with him or point out the fact that it would’ve been impossible for him to notice one of my tires was bold – from three blocks away! Hey, at least he turned out to be really nice and had sent me off without a ticket.
True Fact: Cops are always on a “hot watch” for sports cars….
My son Cameron Harbin was killed while illegally street racing a 20 year old man in Spanaway Washington on October 15th 2007. Fifteen days after his 19th birthday. I cannot stress enough if your gonna race take it to the track your life and everyone elses lives are at stake! During the next year myself, my family and my son’s friends along with:
