What Have We Become, Where Are We Going?
You know the expression, “It’s A Dog Eat Dog World,” referring to the lack of compassion individuals have for others while in pursuit of their own desires or goals. This article “Dog Saves Dog | Payday Loans Save People”, may change your outlook on a couple things.
Occasionally a story will hit the news that defies both reason and understanding and all we can do is listen and watch in awe as it is revealed to us.
Such a story was just posted on YouTube, the Internet’s most popular and famed internet video sharing site. The events were captured on security cameras in Chile. The footage wasn’t of a burglary, a car jacking, purse snatching, or protesting the running off of payday loans lenders, but instead, a dog! Actually, two dogs!
You’re probably thinking, “whats the big deal?” Let me finish.
Miracles Among Us
This footage was from a traffic camera that caught a dog being struck by a car on a busy freeway. The dog gets struck first by one vehicle and then struck a second time from another. Sadly, none of those who pass by choose to stop and help the canine.
What make the story miraculous is that a second dog arrives on the scene, and at obvious risk, to pull the injured dog safety on the side of the road which he does successfully until an emergency response vehicle arrives on the scene.
Superior? I Don’t Think So
Being at the top of the food chain we, as human beings, don’t expect much from the animal kingdom in terms of setting, demonstrating or leading us by example, but the footage caught here can teach us all to take a closer look at our own character. How we treat, respect and care for our own kind may not be on the same level as those below us.
Showed up by canines; how about that! This should be a call to action for the rest of us!
With Today’s Struggling Economy, Everybody Is Looking For A Little Help
In the midst of America’s economic struggles, we are each finding ourselves in times of trial and turmoil when it comes our personal finances. People are losing their jobs, their home, and their livelihoods. Aww. That video was touching. We as humans often underestimate the abilities of anything that appears less than ourselves. With our declining economy, we’ve observed the hardships many people are going through. It doesn’t matter if it’s losing a job or a home; people are getting hit one way or another. Thankfully there are those who will actually stop and lend a helping hand. Most people see something and turn away immediately, thinking someone else can deal with it. The sad part is that majority of the people think the same way. It’s extremely hard to find the help you need when you’re stuck at a roadblock.
