Today is Blog Action Day. If you, like payday loans, have ever wanted to make a difference in the fight against world poverty, now is the day to act.

A third of the world’s population lives in poverty, and 20 percent lives in extreme poverty, meaning they are always hungry.
With this in mind, Blog Action Day 2008: Poverty encourages all who are able to give to entrepreneurs in a poor countries. Doing so stimulates the world economy, even in very small amounts. It also feels good to know you’re helping others improve their societies.

This article doesn’t make it that clear how Blog Action Day is directly related to helping world poverty. Maybe the goal is just blogging about how everyone should help? Regardless, I checked out Causecast, and it seems like a great way to contribute. You pick an organization or cause that you want to give to, and Causecast can set you up with it. So… say you want to donate to a breast cancer organization. Causecast will give you a list of breast cancer organizations that you can choose to give to. It’s pretty neat.
